Thought I would try a new company for wood. Asked them for not huge logs as won’t fit in log fire. Sent humongous logs, literally half tree stumps, 1/4 of the logs are damp and not under 20 percent water. I must of got the off cut terrible bag as that was all the wood was just all shaped wood impossible to stack literally some had branches still on. Terrible.

Only thing I can say good. They were fast delivery. Hugely disappointed.

We've been using logs for decades now and their kiln dried softwood and hardwood bags are as good as they get! Also grateful for their useful communication/timing regarding the delivery to us in Clitheroe.
We will definitely be using them again.

I found the Fox Timber website really easy to use and placing my order was straightforward. My timber was delivered on time, and I even received a phone call beforehand to confirm the details. Although I wasn’t home at the time, the delivery driver went above and beyond—leaving the timber neatly and securely.

Abso fab service, ordered . Sunday evening, delivery came next dat at 1.00 pm. The driver Jack unloaded all 50 lengths of 4.8m 3x2 and 2 sleepers

Ordered fence posts which online shop confirmed 5 day delivery. Didn’t arrive. Excuse was that they hadn’t been able to collect the stock from suppliers. Then received a call 10 days after order to say would deliver three days later. On the due day received a call to say driver had been sent home sick. I thought I would call and see for myself. Would you believe it no wagon in the yard. I ordered elsewhere and requested a refund which they gave me. After I left the depot in Longridge I was passed by the delivery wagon heading down Shay Lane to their depot 🥴😡
Order elsewhere because the service here is dreadful

Great selection of timber have used them many times also great prices on firewood. Free local delivery helps if you live nearby a depot.

I am building a self-designed timber garage at my house and I have made 3 separate orders for materials from Foxhills over the past few weeks as I progressed with the work. on all 3 occasions the materials were delivered within a few days and Jordan (delivery man) was very helpful when unloading. The materials have all been exactly what I ordered and have been excellent quality. So I can only say that the company performance has been excellent and their pricing is always competitive. I would have no hesitation in ordering from them again. Very pleased all round.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Fox Timber. I placed an order (Order #100157705083400737), and they charged me immediately, only to inform me later that the item was out of stock. This was not indicated on their website at the time of purchase, which is misleading.

To make matters worse, their communication has been abysmal. I had to repeatedly follow up just to get a vague response that the refund would take up to 7 working days. Even after this timeframe, no refund has been processed, and their lack of accountability is shocking.

It is unacceptable for a company to neglect customer service to this extent, especially when the fault lies entirely with them. Charging customers for unavailable items and failing to address concerns in a timely manner shows a lack of professionalism and respect for customers.

I do not recommend Fox Timber and urge others to be cautious when dealing with them. Until they improve their communication, website accuracy, and refund practices, they are far from a trustworthy business.

I ordered a fence panel from fox timbers and was served by Josh who went out of his way, was very friendly and very helpful… delivery was prompt too… would definitely recommend

Excellent communication and order arrived as promised and to safe location as indicated on my order when booked on-line . Well done Chorley branch.

Placed order online and during payment site crashed - so re-did order. Later got confirmation of a part order and second correct, so phoned immediately to make sure part order cancelled which they did. Problem was they didnt refund for this, which I only found out 4 weeks later when credit card statement arrived. Immediately contacted them for refund, which they said they would have to check with accounts then priocess....nothing happened. Chased a week later, and they finally "got ssomething from accounts" to be able to process refund. I asked for confirmation to show it was done and explanation, but absolutely nothing back. Credit Card comapany still say not had refund, and they wont reply or provide any confirmation, explanation or apology. Now given details to card company to persue them, but what a complete shambles and lack of any customer service. Eventually I will get my refund, but no explanation as to what went wrong and it was nt processed, or apology or why they have hung onto my money for months.

Very poor service again. Waited all week for timber load to be delivered, then told when i contacted them it would be Saturday morning. Missed visiting elderly Mum as by now desperate, no call no delivery, rang them again to be told couldn’t do it today. Appalling unprofessional business. I swore I wouldn’t use them again after so called tanalised posts rotting in a few years. Should have stuck to my guns. One star as couldn’t give zero

Great company.

I began doing a garden project last month. Needed several types of timber that Fox Timber sell.

I was expecting a long wait for delivery, given the Covid situation, but longest I've had to wait is a week. Will be ordering more from them too.

Quality of product good, however overall service received not as high as I expected

I ordered online on 19th May and anticipated delivery to be delayed owed to Covid-19. Message said up to 1 week......
I chased via email on 25th May ~ no response. I attempted to call but was told to ring another number that was engaged
I attempted via the chat service, no response.
I eventually got through to be advised as the payment had been by BACS a call had to be made to accounts team to verify.
No time of delivery given or further communication.
Upon delivery (5th June) no PPE being worn and I had to manually assist the delivery driver with the 1ton bag of bark I ordered!!!!

Overall poor. Unlikely to order again.
