Smooth and easy process

I’m sharing this because I wish I had known about this experience before investing my time into this opportunity.

This was one of my first few job requests through Backstage, and unfortunately, it was an extremely frustrating experience.

I was contacted regarding a content opportunity and was asked to create a video, which I did. After that, Thomas said he wanted to arrange a meeting to discuss the opportunity further. I scheduled three separate meetings with him, all at different times, and he did not attend a single one.

There was no message beforehand, no explanation afterwards, and no apology for missing any of the meetings.

I completely understand that things can come up, especially when running a business, but repeatedly scheduling meetings and simply not showing up without communicating is incredibly disrespectful of someone's time. As a creator, the time that goes into filming, editing, preparing content, responding to opportunities, and attending meetings is real work.

I gave this opportunity multiple chances because I was genuinely interested in the project, but after three missed meetings, I decided it was not worth continuing.

I’m leaving this review simply so other creators can make an informed decision if they receive a request from him. My personal experience was that the communication and professionalism were not at the level I would expect from someone looking to work with creators.

Please be mindful of your time before committing to this opportunity.

I had the pleasure of working with the Hope Channel Team. It was a blessing and an amazing time. I recently booked a paid commercial through Backstage, and the entire process was smooth from submission through communication and payment. The platform made it easy to connect with the production, receive shoot details, and get paid quickly after the job was completed. I like that Backstage vets the job posters and has a wide range of opportunities including modeling, voiceover, acting, and UGC.
The app is easy to navigate, and I have gotten several jobs from the site.

Took longer than a simple bank transfer (four working days plus the weekend). Charged myself and the employee a service fee and because it’s not in dollars they charged an exchange fee. This is despite being a casting company that handles castings internationally. So if you’re not dealing with American productions, you’re automatically being discriminated against.

Backstage is my bread and butter. I get so many UGC jobs from this platform. Its great!

I got detailed instructions and great feedback. The whole process was a breeze, including how quickly I was paid.

The job was great,client was quick in response, clear about his needs and feedback was excellent. I enjoyed the process. Pay took longer to receive than usual which was unexpected.

The good: submitting, auditioning, and payment work great. I've book several jobs.

The bad: recently the call notice filters seem not to be working. I've been getting a lot of notices for productions with nothing for me.

Really easy and fun. Customer service has always been fast and good to me as well.
