Unfortunately you can’t simply book an appointment anymore. They use an AI powered intake form that requires dozens of inputs from you and performs far worse the ChatGPT. There’s no button or option to bypass this sickening system. In my first experience with this AI intake, it instructed me to call an ambulance, even though that sounded nonsensical. But it did, and they hooked me up to an IV for NO REASON. It ruined me and my family’s weekend and wasted incalculable resources. This AI powered pain wall between me and the medical care I’m already paying for is outrageous, appalling and immoral to hassle people in their vulnerable moment of need. Wishing the people behind this decision develop some empathy.

Everything went well with the appointment, maybe a little too rushed, but at the reception they failed to give me proper information on how to access my documents and were generally very unwilling to help.

I never got my order received. Mailed them over 5 times and they don't reply at all.

Stay away from this company. Avi Medical

It seems like Avi Medical wants to have fewer patients to deal with. Their new app system now makes you answer more than 100 questions just to “give you an appointment”, spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

When you feel unwell, what you’re looking for is care and an explanation from a professional about what’s happening to you, not 100+ questions about how you feel. Some of the questions are even repeated, so in the end you just answer “I don’t know,” only for them to tell you to go to the emergency room because “they can’t handle” whatever you have.

At what point did it become this??!
Doctolib is a terrible app. And with Avi Medical, people were looking for a good option for primary care with a Hausarzt. But now I think I’ll go back to Doctolib, because between the two, Doctolib is the lesser evil.

I was in this praxis because I asked in the app if it was possible to do a prep check and they told me yes, since the praxis was near my place I decided to try. I booked an appointment and the doctor said I couldn't do the lab tests that day because the lab was already closed and I should come earlier. It was 16:30h! Since I also wanted to do a full body checkup the doctor said I could do it together. I booked an appointment few days after with a new doctor and she told me the praxis in Friedrichsfelde doesn't do prep checks and I should go to the one in Lichtenberg instead... I ended up not doing the full body checkup, but the checkup appears as done in the app. The previous doctor gave me the prep prescription, even without the tests, but for 1 month only, when it's usually for 3 months. I asked again in the app if the information they gave me was wrong and I should go to the praxis in Lichtenberg instead. This time they answered they don't do prep checkups at all. I am a bit confused and I guess everyone in that clinic too! I don't trust my health to this kind of praxis.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with AVI Medical and unfortunately cannot recommend this service.

There were repeated issues with appointments. I was told that I would be called at a specific time, but no call ever came. This happened more than once, which created the impression of an unreliable and poorly organized system. In addition, I was informed that I would receive a sick leave certificate, but it was never issued. Instead, I had to book another appointment, which caused additional delays, wasted time, and unnecessary stress.

Overall, the communication feels uncoordinated and unprofessional. The entire process appears chaotic and not designed with patients’ needs in mind. Unfortunately, I am not the only one with this experience—colleagues of mine have reported very similar issues.

Furthermore, I found the tone of communication at times unfriendly and lacking in respect, which made the experience even more unpleasant.

In my view, this service does not meet basic expectations of reliability, professionalism, and patient care. For these reasons, I would strongly recommend considering alternative providers.

Cancelled my appointment last minute. When I wrote to them asking for an explanation they would not give one and told me how to rebook- which was the same way I had initially booked

I got a video call appointment with them, i waited for almost 15 minutes with no doctor showing up, then i saw that sometimes it goes 20 mins so i waited even longer then that for a hope that someone will come and still nothing. After 30 minutes nothing happened! I tried closing the call and enter again and still nothing! With an overall waiting of 45 minutes then i had enough i am already stressed and tired of my medical issue already so this added up to my problems. They reach out again on chats saying that we are going to reschedule again! I told them no i already figured that out and went to another clinic and got what i needed! What is hilarious is that they say yes the doctor was delayed but ended up showing and thats a huge lie because i was already in the app waiting. I think thats there usual excuse to escape the mistake that they have done! And on top of that they reply with a rude way, like it is your fault and thats hilarious! I wont be using this app ever again! Just a waste of time nothing more!

Never book any private service here!
They advertise it costs 148 euros to have a nutrients blood test privately.
What happens? You get letters and invoices from different providers (Nelly and MDI) asking different amounts of money, that totals to almost 200 euros!!!
Do not trust the prices on the app.
Of course; this is illegal under EU law.

Just horrible experience. Unprofessional arrogant doctor, horrible application, total waste of my time. Do not book appointments here! Don’t recommend this service!

I can't log into my APP account and told that to the staff in person each appointment I took for the past year. I also wrote many emails but never got a response. The issue is that they are not available via phone, its just a robot that hangs up on you after some time and they don't send letters with lab results or anything to save cost. So basically they force you to go there in person just to pick your results instead of fixing their IT issue. I mean great they digitize but then the stuff also needs to work... It's tiring.

Very positive 35+ year check-up

I had a great experience with Avi Medical. The staff were really kind, it was very efficient and I was booked for follow-ups on the same day.

I had an appointment today at avi medical centre, Lichtenberg. I moved from my house about 30 minutes before the appointment as it is near to my house. Unfortunately, the U-Bahn arrived 15 minutes late, and it is the first time happened! Then, the Straßen-Bahn arrived ten minutes late. So, I arrived late at the medical Center. My appointment was at 8:50, but I arrived at 9:05. The employee at the front desk started giving me lectures about being late. I told her that was not my problem! She seemed she didn’t want to understand, and then said again you were late, and I would see if the doctor allowed you to enter. She was looking at me as if I was her enemy in the battle! Again, I repeated the saying that was out of my hand! Again, she said she would see if the doctor allowed me to get in because I was late (15 minutes)! Then I raised my voice and said if you didn’t want me to get in, I would leave! She said, „ Lower your voice, and if you want to leave, leave!“ I left the Center.

When you want to hire people at the front desk, at least tell them what proper is to be done! I came late! This is not her problem! This is mine! She can go to the doctor and ask about the solution, and then tell me about their procedure whether to let me get in or not because I was late, but not to behave as if she were the doctor or the owner of the place. Respect people and speak politely to them to be respected and be spoken to politely as well!

Was informed they would cover my medical insurance when on holidays via my bank.
Absolute waste of time, requesting more and more forms to be completed, doing everything to try and not pay, asking for repetitive information, prolonging the process. In the mean-time I have had to pay everything from my own expense! Not covered at all by the seems of it!

First visit they push the main doctor registration hard, they then close the practice with no notice. I went to another branch and then they kept me waiting for one hour just for the prescription. The next time here they just closed earlier than the opening hours when they told me to come in for the prescription. I arrived at 16:50 and it was meant to close at 18:00.

It is unfortunate because the one bad apples always spoil the bunch for each location. I've been with Avi Medical for over one year and at the beginning, they were very empathetic and patient, listening to my concerns. Now suffering from pressure headaches, cold symptoms plus working with young children brought no concern to the doctors. I felt black-listed from the app because I couldn't make next day appointments, even though I am part of the new program and online I can make next day appointments

- I waited over 20+ minutes past my booked appointment
- Spoke to the assistant who only took my temp and blood pressure then asked if I still wanted to talk to the doctor
- Spoke to the doctor and discussed my health complaints whilst she sat back in her chair and said, 'its just a migraine, it'll go away in a couple days.... stay in the dark and rest and I'll give you a sick note for 3 DAYS...'
- I complained about my congestion and cold symptoms... she ignored them and said the migraine will go away and the other symptoms will too.. she will still only give me 3 DAYS sick note... despite the fact I work with children under 4..she told me if I still feel sick, I can come back the day after the sick note (I went to a different location the next day and the doctor there wrote me sick for the entire week)

I went to a different location two times now - first visit was super nice, second visit went downhill, I received a 'its just a cold, influenza is going around so you'll have these symptoms for upto 1-2 months, worst case I'll give you a sick not for 3 day'. Went to work the next day because Im tired of going to the doctors office my body is going through too much stress.. its tiring.

I have tried 4-5 locations from Avi Medical and there is always that one bad apple that spoils the bunch. So disappointing as an EXPAT and my German is quite good - so there were no language issues.

First appointment cancelled, second appointment doctor didn't show up

Dr. Hanno Wetzel—a truly charming specimen of a doctor, brimming with unresolved personal issues and an impressive knack for venting his misery on patients. With zero empathy and social skills that could make a rock seem approachable, he’s truly a shining example of what not to expect from healthcare. If you’re considering using this platform, beware of this angry little man who seems better suited to tending to primitive wildlife than actual people. And by the way, if this gets deleted, I’ll just rewrite it. Safe to say, I’m *never* using this platform again.
