I've been a Xolo user for year and a half. And I'm pretty grateful, I should say. There are some questions and something comes up from time to time, but overall the platform itself + the team help me... See more

Working with XOLO since 2022 and always a great service. Even when I faced some hard times they accepted to put my payments on hold and I resumed it later after some months.
All my questions, even some really dumb ones, are answered within one or two days, never had any problems with the tax board or something, so, well, it's a great service!
I joined XOLO back in 2022 after reading the comments here in Truspilot, btw
I am honestly shocked by the way Xolo handled my situation. I was dealing with an important and time-sensitive matter and suddenly stopped receiving any responses from the team.
After several days (!!!) I eventually found out that the ENTIRE team is out of the office now for a company event until August 31. No one informed me, even when we were in the middle of the important process. There is no auro reply about the event from the agent, support and info email (I emailed literally everyone many times). I’m sorry, but if I’m paying for a monthly service, I expect someone to be available to support customers, especially when important matters are involved and not to ignore for the entire week.
Really poor communication and customer service.

I chose Xolo because they offer a service in English because my Italian is still not good enough to understand the Italian tax system. I received excellent and friendly service from Maria Bozzo and the team at Xolo and that's why I decided to subscribe. They have a very user-friendly system.

I was with them since opening my company in Estonia, they registered it in 2021. Since then they increased pricing three times even when workload didn't increased. They only submitted KMD declarations even though every Estonia registered company can do it themselves, they just relied on my lack of knowledge because I am outside of Estonia. They lied to me about all important deadlines. When there was no sales in my company they still charged me telling me that I cannot submit my declarations by myself. They blocked my self-service account and it resulted in penalties with Tax Board. I left them and I submitted all reports by myself and managed to have penalties to be canceled, now Xolo is using some debt collection company to execute 190 EUR for services they didn't provide. Really, avoid them. You can submit your KMD and VD reports yourself through the portal and you need help with it you can still find cheaper and more reliable services. Avoid them and do not register your company through them, this is how they keep you depending on them.

My tax return was incorrect, so I tried to get in touch with them and they told me that, for an extra 61 euros, I could speak to one of their accountants. Terrible service – I’ve cancelled my subscription. It’s a shame because the platform was good and user-friendly, but I’d rather do it myself.

Tried to sign up, and the software keeps messing up the application process. Have verified phone number multiple times and it keeps asking for it, and the same for adding Cadastral reference - error messege says "
The minimum length for this field must be 20 characters!" when it's added correctly. If they can't get a basic reg form correct, I'm not investing my time into or money here. Get your front door sorted, Xolo.

While Xolo has been helpful in my first year as a foreign freelancer in Italy in terms of setting up my tax details I have been time and time again let down by their lack of communication and poor onboarding on how to use the platform throughout the tax year - key for a person who only ever had to pay tax once a year. I had to pay a tax stamp fine because it wasn't communicated to me that it needed to be paid, every quarter, despite regularly checking the platform. Now, with 10 days left to pay my taxes for this year (or incur a .8% fine) my F24 document was delivered on the 22nd June with incorrect details, I flagged this on the same day, on the 25th June I emailed again with no response, and again on the 29th June and the 1st July. On the 7th July I received a response from Xolo asking for more information, which I gave 3 hours later. I followed up 24hrs later and now on the 10 July I've not had any more contact with Xolo - I'm simply asking for transparency and a time frame and know that when it comes to my renewal I'll be questioning whether to continue paying Xolo.

I am very happy with Xolo and their amazing team. They are always quick to respond, professional, and very friendly. They save me a lot of time by taking care of accounting and tax matters, so I can focus on my business with peace of mind.
Whenever I have a question, I receive a clear and helpful answer. Their support has always been excellent, and I truly appreciate how easy they make everything.
I highly recommend Xolo to anyone who is self-employed in Spain. Thank you to the entire team for your outstanding service!

I have 10 days to pay my Italian taxes and despite multiple emails I have not been handed the documents needed to do so. Each week I’m being misled and told my documents are almost finished or that I’ll get my documents this week, which feels like a scam. I honestly have no idea who to reach out to now, as the timescale is very limited and I paid a lot of money for them to handle it.

I really did enjoy Xolo's customer support, and while I no doubt believe there are dozens of people who do use their services with seemingly no issues- I'd like to present my case as a bit of a "heads up" for anyone who's not from the EU, and residing in Italy.
The long short of it is- I'd genuinely suggest getting a lawyer and an accountant that you can directly visit in person, and who is specifically equipped to handle such inquiries. I think Xolo is a "one size fits all" solution- Unfortunately in my case, I just didn't seem to apply.
The long... Long of it is this: Initially, I've had problems getting my P. IVA in Italy, for one reason or another. I was in the process of changing my Italian residency to a work one after a study permit, and when all was said and done (with no solution on the horizon), I had no choice but to hire a lawyer and an accounting firm. While this was costly on my end, I've effectively had to pay a yearly subscription for Xolo as well; Which did in the end amount to a bit of an unnecessary loss, as Xolo itself could not solve my issue with the P. IVA and the registration of my business as a room rental service. To put it bluntly, there was nothing that Xolo really has done here (even discounting the fact that I'd of course had to go to the Prefecture Office and Chamber of Commerce in person- I'm sure everyone has to do this regardless, this is not on Xolo) - As everything else had to be corrected by my lawyer and his accountant, which amounted to something akin to a complete overhaul.
At least as far as invoicing was concerned- I was using a platform elsewhere, in which they provided the invoices automatically, so in the end, this was also not really an issue. As far as I could tell, Xolo's invoicing system seemed rather intuitive, and I *was* prepared to use them whenever it would be deemed a necessity.
All that said, I at least asked if they could help me with my taxes for 2024- which, they did. A form was given, made, and I paid accordingly.
But... The problem only came out relatively recently, in which my new accountants (in person) allegedly detected a discrepancy in how my income was reported for 2024. This, apparently, could lead to me paying a fine at worst.
I'm not gonna pretend to know what this could be, as assuming would not be fair- But when I told them that I've used Xolo and told them what it was, I was advised in the end that as they're:
1) Located outside of Italy and
2) May not specifically deal with my type of business NOR with someone with an identical legal circumstance for being in Italy (a non-EU student turned self-employed person), I was told it would be unwise to use not just Xolo, but also just about any online platform.
I feel that I've effectively paid 400+ euros to Xolo for just one specific service in the end (the tax declaration for the year 2024- and apparently even that one MAY have been done incorrectly, allegedly). As much as how I wanted to return to Xolo after I'd resume my work again, the advice given to me by my lawyer, his accountant, and now a different accountant (thus eliminating biases, as it's 2 separate entities with no association to each other telling me the same thing) telling me the same- I cannot recommend Xolo for folks in a similar situation.
For others with a MUCH more common profession OR with a legal status (Those with EU passports/citizenships or what have you), Xolo may work. Your mileage will vary. In my case, as much as how I enjoyed the enthusiasm of some of their staff- Fiscal law, and especially the tax authorities of Italy cannot be appeased by enthusiasms alone. It simply wasn't meant to be, I guess.

I have been a Xolo customer for close to one year, and they have always been helpful and efficient. However, today, my primary support agent Shally Tammepuu went above and beyond to assist me after I dropped the ball. Excellent service and thoroughly recommended to anyone setting up a business in Estonia.

It’s a very convenient solution for me as an autónomo in Spain, especially since I don’t speak Spanish well. They have English-speaking support! The service itself is very easy and straightforward. It’s not cheap, but having an account costs about the same anyway.
Reply from Xolo
I've been "autónomo" since the beginning with them. They did everything, they registered me, I just had to create the invoice from their platform, and it was easy enough. They can do the "declaración de la renta" for you with an additional fee, so you can delegate it to them and you don't have to worry about understanding complex forms.
You can ask them about any tax obligations and they will know how to answer. You can download all the documents you need from their platform and in case you close your account you can ask them to send the documents needed and they will send them via email.
Very professional, I will recommend any friend that plans to become "autónomo".

Nothing bad to say, have been great so far with on-boardning and support.
And very fast respons in general as most gestorias or notarys in spain takes many days and sometimes week to answer back..
Reply from Xolo
You will end up paying fines!
They are incompetent like the rest of the Spanish Accounting if you are autonomo. I have in total paid over 2000 euro in fines, even when using Xolo. Also should have got 3000 euro back in tax, with the help of Xolo and going back and forth for 3 months, nothing happened. Worst thing is they could not explain anything.. Now here I am more than 6 months after closing autonomo. Receiving a fine again for 700 euro from that time, and having paid monthly to xero for nothing at all.
Thank you guys.

Visually super nice and looked like a good service, but they are effectively banning people for their nationality and then lying about it to cover their backs. They closed my account because I wanted to discuss some questions. I'm not doing anything illegal, just simply wanted to clarify some moments.
It’s the most hypocritical "support" I’ve ever encountered. Quite disappointed, don't recommend.
Reply from Xolo
They don’t care and they do not solve your tax issues the way they claim to.
They won’t guide you through the process or inform you about critical matters or things that needed to be done on time, and in the end you will lose time and money. Hire a proper accountant. This service simply doesn’t care about you.
If a mistake happens, they will tell you that you did something wrong and will try to avoid taking responsibility. Don’t believe their claims and stay away from them.
