Excellent service, the cake was amazing. It is on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. It arrived in time which was a relief! Definitely using the service again.

Even though the website is in French and the answer from the customer service about the delivery was in French too, It is actually from Germany. So if you re aware and ok with that, all good.
Otherwise check locally for your cake.
They accepted to offer me a refund.

I cannot comment on the taste of the cake as I never got the chance to taste it. Here is the detailed outline to what happened. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter well in advance. On 27 December, I was told that there is a problem with the address and I fixed it and on 28 December I was told that the cake will be delivered by December 29. Till now it was all fine. Then on 29 December, I get an email from the UPS that the cake cannot be delivered even to the selected pick up point, mind you this location was not in ski resort but suburbs of Paris. I again contacted the customer care of the votreGateau, I was told that I had two options either to cancel the order with UPS and get refund or pick up the cake. I tried to cancel but it failed as I never got a reply from UPS. Then today (30 December) I went to pick up the cake.....Surprise, cake is not delivered. So I paid nearly 100 euros to get a customized cake delivered for my daughter's Birthday and that failed, she had to cut a cake from supermarket and money is also gone. I sincerely hope that this review will help people.

Fast, Good Quality, Expensive...

We needed a "Dragonball Z" birthday cake for a 10 year old but none of our local patisseries or supermarkets were able to make one, so we turned to the internet.

VotreGateau proposed many options including the type of cake, flavours, and sizes so we chose a simple 6-8 slice chocolate cake.

Delivery was very very fast, we ordered on a Saturday and had the cake on the Monday. The product was well packaged and was exactly to specification.

This cake would be familiar to most American, German, and English customers as it's a decent sponge cake with flavoured buttercream filling and then decorated with edible printed fondant. Due to the fondant and the buttercream, we were told not to put the cake in the fridge as it would last up to a week at room temperature.

Was it a success? Well, yes! The kids loved it!!

The downside of this service is clearly the price. We paid 70€ and I appreciate that we paid for very quick DHL delivery. So with a little planning ahead, you can reduce the cost.

But, a good product and a good idea for an online service.
