Great family night activity

We chose Merlin’s Castle as our first experience and played with friends in a separate home, we did have a lot of issues with the in game chat/video features and ended up video calling via phone to communicate but that was no doubt our technological issues, but we had a great time playing it, the puzzles were great, challenging enough to get you thinking but easy enough that the kids could be involved and solve them just as easily as the adults, was a great way to spend a night and break up the school holiday boredom, we’ve already chosen the next one we aim to play!

Entertaining

Good story line. A little more difficult than some with this rating. Nice in game videos.

No response on email, scammer.

It was booked virtual escaping through our work. As we managed to escape, we received an email where it says if you share a photo or video on instagram tagging virtual escape sharing you experience and then email, they will send you a free voucher. Followed the instruction and sent 3 emails, but no response. Real scammers.

This was the 2nd time our group played…

This was the 2nd time our group played and we enjoyed both times very much. The first one we played ran flawlessly however, the 2nd one we played Asylum was very glitchy. One of our players had to refresh several times throughout the game. We also think one of the glitches included the fact that we still hadn't solved the clue in the room with Emily, Lilly & Sam and we were able to get into the final altar room which didn't make any sense. I wasn't able to click on most of the clues and objects until after one of my team mates clicked on them. Even though we did enjoy the game it did leave us feeling somewhat let down due to the frustration of the glitches.

Disappointed ☹️

Just played Murder in the Alley.
Was super glitchy, items were duplicated or non existent 😅 for example, the car was floating mid air and we had two sets of numbers in the phone box. Had to constantly refresh the page to resolve. Hints were not accurate either, at one stage they suggested the “horn was in the corridor on the wall” 😂
Disappointed ☹️

Win, win...

We recently played an online escape game and had a fantastic experience. It was so convenient to be able to enjoy the thrill of an escape room from the comfort of our own home.

The game allowed us to move at our own pace, which took all the pressure off and let us really dive into the experience together. The puzzles were perfectly balanced—challenging enough to keep our brains engaged, but never so difficult that we felt stuck or frustrated.

Beyond the gameplay, the production quality was impressive. The graphics were sharp and immersive, and the storyline was well-crafted and engaging, keeping us hooked from start to finish. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend an evening.

Family‑Chaos‑Meets‑Genius

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when three kids, two adults, a pile of snacks, and a digital escape room collide… the answer is: absolute magic.
VirtualEscaping.com has become our new family battleground — in the best way. The puzzles are clever enough to make the adults feel smart, but fun enough that the kids dive in like tiny detectives on a sugar rush. Everyone gets a moment to shine. One kid cracks a code, another spots a hidden clue, an adult pretends they solved something important — teamwork at its finest.
Meanwhile, snacks are disappearing at record speed, someone is yelling “I FOUND IT”, someone else is egging the team on like a tiny sports coach, and somehow we’re all completely hooked.
It’s chaotic, hilarious, surprisingly bonding, and honestly one of the easiest ways to get everyone — all five of us — playing together instead of arguing over what to watch.
Verdict: VirtualEscaping.com turns your living room into a puzzle packed adventure where every family member becomes a hero. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys laughter, teamwork, and the occasional snack crumb emergency.

Vacation Escape Experience

While on vacation, my husband and I decided to try an online escape room since we love escape rooms. We found out about virtual escaping on instagram. We played Underground Murder and Detention. We loved being able to use our own devices and search for clues on our own, while communicating back and forth. The graphics were great. The hint system was helpful and overall had a great experience. We will be trying the other games and will recommend to our family who lives out of state. Would be a great gift and a great way to connect with our adult kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first game experience. It took us a while to figure out what to do and we used more hints than I would have liked but we all had fun. We are looking forward to doing it again!

Lots of fun

Lots of fun, just hard enough to get us really thinking but easy enough to solve eventually.

These are so much fun for an evening…

These are so much fun for an evening in. The puzzles are challenging and the rooms are interesting. We have done 5 of these rooms so far and most have been great, but some of the endings were a little abrupt so we felt we needed a bit more to the game ending. Overall, really good fun, I have recommended these to family and friends.

Fun but frustrating

We bought a 3 pack bundle, and have completed 2 so far. They are fun, however the clues and answers don’t really match up. The Saloon was particularly disjointed. The puzzles and solutions were very convoluted…and the clues don’t make sense. Though there was some frustration with the process, it was still mostly fun to solve…but we won’t be purchasing the other games.

Good Game - We Think It Could be Better

We played our first virtual escape room game from this company and it was fun. Merlin’s Castle is one of the easy titles and was pretty straightforward but it took us over three hours. We’re not new to escape rooms (live and virtual) so we think taking so long for this game was a combination of overthinking some of the puzzles and some of the graphics being a little dark for easy interpretation. We got this game as part of a bundle so we’ll see how fair the more difficult escape rooms are from Virtual Escaping. There’s no question that Merlin’s Castle was a fun game but we think it could have been better for us with some changes. We’ll keep playing. Fingers crossed.

It was a pretty fun experience! Great long distance date night. One star off for having an unsolvable stage due to incorrect answers but the hint fixed that. I would recommend it!
