Village Vets Formby and Crosby Reviews 

This is a lovely veterinary practice. The welcome on attending is always warm and friendly. The reception staff are fantastic.

The veterinary staff (vets and nurses) are knowledgeable, professional and caring towards your pet.

I have moved away from Crosby but haven’t moved vets. I travel about 20 miles each way whenever I have to take my dog to Village Vets. I don’t resent the trip at all as I know my dog will be looked after and cared for.

Highly recommended.

All the vets,[especially Christina who has seen us most frequently] show great interest in my cat and have given me lots of good advice . I'm very happy with her welfare in their care.

We have been taking our dog “princess Penny” to Crosby village vets for about 3-4 years.

The care and kindness of the staff has never changed, it’s always been amazing.

The moment you walk in to the vets you and your pet are greeted warmly. Each staff member is professional, knowledgable and has a genuine care for animals.

We’ve taken Penny a lot for various reasons including multiple surgeries there. Each time we have felt as ease knowing that she is in such safe hands.

The membership isn’t the cheapest but it’s so worth it for the treatment you get. We have other dogs at another vets and they are nothing compared to Village Vets.

All the staff, vet nurses and vets I’ve met in Crosby are dog lovers and are always friendly and very helpful. I would recommend joining the VIP club because you can take the dog as often as they need without worrying about the cost of each appointment. And my dog isn’t stressed when visiting which is great.

From entering the clinic, each member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The lady on reception was nice and chatty and the vet who I saw was very thorough with her examination of my dog. She explained what she was going to do and gave me reassurance regarding a possible problem my dog may have in the future.

We love Village Vets. We rang up for a last minute appointment and they got us an appointment that morning. All of the vets really care about Ted and do their best to put him at ease whenever he goes. We couldn’t ask for any more!

I will never be able to thank Village Vets Formby enough for saving my Storm’s life.

Last year, Storm suddenly became very unwell and I feared that she had bloat. They weren’t even our usual vets, but my own practice was too far away to help in such an urgent situation. My sister’s friend used Village Vets and, being the closest practice to us, I called them in desperation.

Without hesitation, they told me to bring Storm in straight away. The moment we arrived, we were seen immediately by Helen, who confirmed my worst fear — Storm had bloat and needed urgent treatment.

There was no time wasted. Helen rushed her in, treated her and operated on her straight away.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Helen and every member of staff were incredibly kind, caring and compassionate. Not only did they give Storm the urgent care she desperately needed, they looked after me too at a time when I was absolutely terrified of losing her.

Thanks to their skill, quick thinking and immediate action, Storm survived and is still here with me today. For that, I will be grateful for the rest of my life.

There really aren’t enough words to express what Village Vets Formby and their wonderful team mean to me. They saved my girl’s life when she needed them most, and I owe them everything.

Rocky has been going this vet’s since he was 5 months old. The staff here are lovely and trustworthy.
They genuinely care about the pets and Rocky loves going there especially for the treats.
It is so easy to get an appointment. We pay for the VIP membership which has been so worth it.

I always find the team very helpful. They take time to explain things. They are good with my pets.

You couldn't ask for nicer people than those in the Formby practice. My family has been visiting them with various dog members of our family from when we moved here in 1974 and I can honestly say they are great people and always have been - the faces may have changed over the years but the friendliness and concern is the same as it ever was if not better. Humans are treated as family members and the love the staff have for the animal visitors is very evident. The concern for taking care of each animal is amazing and I am so happy having them as friends.

Can’t recommend Crosby Village Vets highly enough. Very efficient, professional and friendly. My dog Coco receives excellent care.

The whole team are so welcoming and friendly whilst being the most professional I've ever met; my dog is nervous so barks a lot, all the staff make a huge effort to calm him down and reassure him from the minute we walk through the door right through to when we leave. The pets' welfare is first and foremost, treatment options are well explained and the post-treatment care is exemplary. The monthly payment plan option is also an inspiration. A complete opposite to the awful corporate practices that are taking over everywhere.

Been with village vets for a year as new dog owners, fortunately have not needed any serious treatment, but whichever vet we have seen has always looked after our dog and ourselves so well. Always feel that they genuinely care and the reception staff always really Kind and helpful too 😍

Go above and beyond

Always an amazing service and experience but Gaynor went above and beyond to find a way to treat our Frenchie who really doesn't like being the patient but loves visiting just for attention and treats. Instead of using the surgery, examinations and follow up appointments for an eye ulcer were carried out informally in the quiet room. This involved play and treats and a lot of fuss but it worked. I don't think Maisie even realised she was the patient.😊
