I had a favourite jacket that required a new zip ...or I couldn't wear it anymore.
Nobody locally I knew could fix it ...I think because it would have taken far too long.
So then I looked online and found The Seam.

Great experience from start to finish and the very skillful repair by Mary C was simply excellent !!.

Really well thought out website and easy to follow process... would definitely use again and recommend.

Fantastic communication from Theo from the beginning. My lovely scarf had moth holes in it which were expertly mended and I am very happy with it. I like the personal touch of the communication with the maker and it was all round a brilliant experience. I'm so glad The Seam exists - we should all be looking after our things, and it's great to be able to connect with talented makers like Theo. Highly recommend.

My husband happened to burn a Brunello Cucinelli jacket with a cigarette, yet thanks to Lyudmila, we were able to restore it in such a manner that it appears entirely flawless, as though no imperfection ever existed. Kindly convey our highest appreciation to Seam for maintaining such impeccable service.

I have placed two orders with The Seam, one for garment repair one for garment restoration and the professional seamstress skills of Sandra Zomer are extremely high. I have been thrilled with her work which is always carried out promptly, professionally and with clear insight into what is required. Added to which. in her communications Sandra has been friendly and very courteous; a lovely person who is a real pleasure to deal with. Thank you, The Seam .

My Frank Clegg leather tote bag needs a repair after 8 years. I used The Seam which pair me with Katarina. Katarina replied with a quote and explained how she’d repair it. Excellent communication and great handwork. The broken corner is hardly noticeable after the repair. Highly recommend

If I could select 6 stars out of 5 for the repair Paola Z undertook on my Chanel bag I wouldn’t hesitate I am absolutely blown away. It is invisible and absolutely perfect. Returned quickly and great communication.

I would fully recommend The Seam as this is the second time I’ve used them and both times the repairs have been fantastic and the service was excellent.

Sent my jacket in as the Zipper puller had broken off.
Once it arrived at seams a lovely lady Sandra informed me that the whole Zip needed replacing and that the original adidas zip could not be sourced.
Disappointed in that, I agreed to a alternative replacement.
After initially getting the wrong zip for me because jacket was reversible so required a 2 way
Sandra messaged with a picture of the replacement Zip which I gave permission for.
However, once returned to me, I noticed how poor quality the replacement was.
Very cheap and nasty probably costing no more than a fiver.
Fitting cost me £79 including delivery costs which was disappointing.
Jacket was expensive brand new and now has a zip that resembles a toy from a kinder egg.
The quality of the work and the lady herself were fine but, adidas and seams need to get their act together on proper replacement items.
Now I have got to take it elsewhere and have it removed a total waste of time.

The Seam, put me in touch with the amazing Andrea B. Andrea kept me up to date on my bag repair and if I messaged answered me very quickly. My bag looks amazing, Andrea did a fab job with the repair. Would highly recommend.

My maker, Camila, transformed my father’s WWII RAF jacket, which was full of moth holes and I thought beyond repair. I got it back whole and with no holes at all! Most repairs are invisible, but those that are not, blend in so well, they can hardly be seen either! Sending the jacket to The Seam was a last resort. We were on the verge of cutting off the buttons and stripes to mount separately, but now we can get the whole jacket mounted! What a brilliant result! Thanks to our talented maker and this wonderful project!

Huge thankyou to Camila for repairing my Missoni sun dress which had a large hole in. It’s like brand new, cannot see where the damage was. Excellent communication, good value for money and very speedy.

The Seam is an absolute gem of a service. I have used two different dressmakers now, Fleur Wood and Eliane Verges and both of them did faultless work on my alterations. Eliane turned a pair of size 24 silk Ted Baker trousers into a perfectly fitting size 14 for me, a very difficult task which meant remaking them from scratch and keeping all the lovely floral pattern , pockets and design elements intact. The prices are extremely reasonable. Communication is always great, staying in constant chat with your maker to check progress. Anything you have that you wished fit better or has got damaged, particularly high quality but delicate vintage items, this is the place to get them perfectly restored. So much care taken, I couldn't be more impressed.

Arzu of The Seam isn’t only a highly professional and skill full maker, who immaculately repaired my vintage Cartier bag, but also a very friendly and attentive person who made a whole process very pleasant. Arzu has a great and nowadays rare quality to go an extra mile for her customers. I am very grateful to her for everything what she has done.

Arzu in Wimbledon worked a miracle removing black ballpoint pen from my pale green Anya Hindmarch suede bag.
So pleased with the result, it looks brand new and was turned around extremely quickly.

Andrea has done an incredible job on my Salvatore Ferragamo shoes which were very scuffed on the heel and elsewhere. They look amazing and I will now be able to wear them again. Thank you
