TUIO have now emailed me saying the claim AND the policy have been cancelled as our proprty does not meet the following requirements to be classed as in an Urbanisation : URBANIZATION: A group of more than 50 dwellings located in the same urbanized area, understood as one that has common services such as lighting, water, sports and/or recreation facilities, etc.
So, we have mains water, main sewerage, street lights outside and a swimming pool about 500m away - That seems to satisfy the Urbanization rules !!
These robbing bastards have failed so completely it is insane
PLEASE, PLEASE - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR INSURANCE - CHEAP, YES...GOOD ?? ANYTHING BUT..

Communication nightmare: Dropped after claiming damages with no explanation
As foreigners, we have a house in Spain that was insured by Tuio. During the insurance period, we had a leak in our shower. We filed a damage claim with Tuio, but they claimed it wasn't covered and canceled our insurance without any explanation.
Communication with Tuio was nearly impossible, and they didn't even refund our paid premium.
Absolute robbers! You have been warned!

No real person contact
Not possible to get through to a person. On WhatsApp they say service hours are 0900-1800, I got an "agent" at 1700. He decides not to respond to my question and oops, it is now 1800 and they have finished.
It is also not clear why they are not able to provide a car insurance "at this time". Why have it if " at this time" it is not available. Why not available? Whe will it be?

Excellent response to burst water boiler claim
I contacted Tuio through WhatsApp after my boiler burst in the underbuild. The water destroyed a number of boxes of my things stored there & the humidity caused the paint to bubble & plaster to crumble where the water was gushing out of the boiler.
They responded immediately clearly & calmly advising me what I needed to do.
I took the required photos, completed the form & put in the claim, an assessor attended & agreed the claim. A very simple & quick process.
Throughout the claims process if I had any concerns or questions they responded immediately with clear instructions/advice.
They helped me through a traumatic experience. You only realize how good an insurance company is when you put in a claim. From my personal experience Tuio are a 5 ⭐ insurance company. Highly recommend.

The cover for us, as renters seems very comprehensive

Absolutely dreadful !
Absolutely dreadful !! Made a claim 11days ago and they have fibbed us off quoting their maximum timescales for loss adjusters and even then they have failed
Basically zero response to the issue even though it’s damage to the air on unit outside and has left us with temperatures over 40degrees in the house for well over a week
