I’m really happy with Spriggy. I get instant notifications whenever my daughter spends, which gives me peace of mind. It’s much safer for young people than carrying cash, and I can easily stay on top... See more

Spriggy is a prepaid card and mobile app for 6-17 year olds that helps young people learn to manage their money through practical real world experience.
The Spriggy app allows parents to easily transfer money to their children and helps teach them the concepts of earning, saving, and responsible spending. Parents can feel confident with visibility of transactions in the app and the ability to lock the card at any time. Young people can use their prepaid card to make purchases online or in-store – anywhere that Visa is accepted.

They keeping locking my kids cads randomly. The last time my son went out with his mates they went to Hungry Jacks to buy dinner, and he had to sit and watch his friends enjoy their food because Spriggy had randomly locked the card despite have over $100 in it. He called me and I tried to unlock it for him and the app just said to contact Spriggy, and being a weekend there was no support. They have done this a number of times to all three of my kids. Denying access to there money. I will not be using them again and advising others to avoid them.

It's so easy, maybe too easy. A good way for kids to learn how to deal with money. They start to understand how we get money (through work) and how to use it.

It keeps asking my me to do the authentication process everytime I need to use it (which is basically everyday). Also bothers me the time it takes to top up if you are not the primary parent. Other than that, all good.

Great app, easy to link to bank account and transparency. Highly recommend for kids to set chores for money to teach them the real value of money.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided by Spriggy.
Based on my experience, I believe the service has not met the standards that were advertised. I found the service to be misleading and frustrating to use. Funds were deducted from my bank account, yet there were significant delays before the money became available in my son's account.
My son used Spriggy for approximately one year but eventually stopped using the service due to repeated issues with funds taking seven to eight days to clear. This caused considerable inconvenience and resulted in a loss of confidence in the platform.
Throughout our experience, we were frequently encouraged to "top up" the account, yet the delays in accessing those funds made the service ineffective for its intended purpose. In addition, I found customer support difficult to deal with and felt that our concerns were not adequately addressed. Communication was poor, and obtaining clear answers was extremely challenging.
As a consumer, I feel misled by the service that was provided and disappointed by the lack of responsiveness when issues were raised. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Spriggy to others.
I request that this complaint be formally reviewed and that a response be provided addressing the concerns outlined above.
Yours sincerely,
SamMekheal

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that Spriggy did not meet your expectations.
When topping up via bank transfer, funds can take up to 5 business days to clear due to standard banking processing times. For families who need funds available more quickly, we also offer debit card top-ups, which typically settle almost instantly.
We understand how frustrating delays can be when your child is expecting access to their money, and we're sorry for the inconvenience this caused your family. Having reviewed your membership, we can see that our team did reach out to you and is in the process of working through this with you.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving both our product and the support we provide to families.

Great start for teenagers to have a way of independence with money but for parents to be able to control and watch how they spend. Highly recommend

The kids love seeing how their money increases when they do jobs as well as the responsibility of having a credit card, to buy what they want.

Great app for teaching kids how to save their pocket money!

She loves having the freedom of her own card and finances and I find it an easy way to give her money to go towards her independence and well being. Having money is new to her but so far so good! Some banks won’t give them a card until they’re 14! We wanted her to be able to use it at high school next year! She’s 12 in 2 months.

The worst service provider I’ve dealt with.
Definitely don’t use Spriggy Mobile the app doesn’t give you the correct information on your child data and phone usage leading you to think they’re using websites that they shouldn’t when they’re actually not and Spriggy know about this. When contacting Spriggy, they say that they know about the issues but it never gets resolved, also having problems with payments as it doesn’t process on time and then causes problems with the SIM card or messaging and data usage.

Great for kids - I have been using this app with cards for my two kids for years and it is a perfect solution for paying pocket money and also so they have money in a pinch (ie catching a taxi home).
