I used to trust this company but the story has changed. From the reviews I have already in August, it is very clear it’s just a bunch of dishonest individuals. They held my money since Thursday claiming to be doing compliance checks. They requested for litany of documents which I submitted. They claimed they need to know the source of funds so I submitted enough evidence to prove that and also told them to contact my bank if they need any confirmation. Today is day 4. No clear communication. No direction. Trust them at your own peril. Just a bunch of fraudsters masquerading as a company. If I don’t get my money by tomorrow, I’ll lodge a formal complaint to my Bank and Financial Ombudsman Service.

The entire team are liars telling different lies at any time they unable to send a transaction. I requested for a refund on 05/08. They told me it’s going to take 1-5 working days and that they have initiated a refund. I called the office on 06/08 for a confirmation email and they gave me a message on WhatsApp, hmmm. I called the office again on Monday 10/08 and it was still the same story. I called again on Wednesday 12/08 and whoever picked the call said it has been done so I am going to receive it within 24 hours. After the 24 hours, that was Thursday 13/08, l called the office again on two different occasions where the first person told me it’s going to take 2 days and the other one said 1-3 working days. I sent an email to them on an account they have given me but it failed to send. I chat them on WhatsApp and the person first said it’s going to take 1-3 working days and later said 1-5 working days in that same conversation which wasn’t ended. I became angry and told him I’m going to report the issue to FSCS if l don’t get my refund by the close of that Thursday. It was there that he told me he will escalate the issue to the management. Lo and behold it didn’t take an hour and the money was refunded. The refund they kept telling me they can’t do anything about it until another 1-5 working days, after telling them l will report to FSCS, they were able to do it in minutes. These people are scammers and they can’t be trusted. I have requested they delete my account since I can’t do it in the app so waiting for their response. Liars

I think this company has to be investigated because there to be something wrong somewhere. They always keep saying they have problems with their payee partner in Ghana. This is about 3 to 4 times I have experienced this. Make sure you don’t send emergency money through remit union. Also, will make sure there investigated. There seems to be something wrong somewhere.

Remit union is absolutely brilliant money transfer company. They are very reliable when you send money through them it's fast and their customer service is brilliant.They are allowed there to assist you with your queries. Besides that thier exchange rates are higher than any other money transfer that I no. I will recommend any one to use remit union for thier money transfer.

I sent an emergency transfer through Remit Union on 30th July 2025. As of today, 4th August ( five days later )the money has still not been received by the recipient. Five days. For an emergency.
When you label something an emergency, timing is everything. A service that cannot deliver funds within a reasonable timeframe is not just inconvenient; it is completely unfit for purpose in urgent situations. No clear communication, no resolution, and no accountability. The money is simply sitting somewhere in limbo while the person who needed it urgently continues to wait.
I have used other transfer services that deliver within hours. Remit Union has failed to meet even the most basic expectation of reliability.
To anyone reading this: please do not trust Remit Union with time-sensitive or emergency transfers. If something goes wrong, based on my experience, do not expect a quick fix. Use a provider with a proven track record of speed and reliability. your recipient cannot afford to wait five days when they are in genuine need.
I will be escalating this matter and seeking a full refund. Absolutely disappointed.

Very poor service….always having problems with transactions

The worst transfer service. My transfer took 4 days. Stay away from this company. It is fraud

I sent money to Ghana since 7am today and got an email confirming the transaction. After about 5hrs, I got a call the money hasn’t been received. I contacted remitunion and as of 19:04 all I’m getting is “technical challenges from our payout partners” and appreciating my patience when I’m clearly furious. They don’t even know when the issue will be resolved. This is my second time experiencing this with remitunion.

They delay your transfers
for a day or two. They are fraudsters. I won’t recommend anyone to use them anymore.

There has been great improvement in this service, keep it up. I’m enjoying using this than any other service.
