I wouldn’t even rate this platform one…
I wouldn’t even rate this platform one star but I had to, to write a review. What a joke and not a funny one. Spam spam spam. Don’t even waste your time with this app. This is the utmost ridiculous shit I have ever encountered. As a pet owner you want to find a loving reliable person and you are trusting that these platforms are legit and there to help male arrangements for care for your furry loved ones. WELL DO NOT TRUST OR USE Petsitter.com. Rover is the only reliable app. Whoever designed this one should be in jail.
This company Petsitter is a farce
This company Petsitter is a farce. There are invented clients to lure you in to paying to see the responses. After you choose a one month payment of 40. They put it on repeating monthly withdrawls and refuse to refund and cancel your order. Nothing but a rip off!! Be warned.
Bogus listings & Scammers
I received many solicitations from spammers attempting cheque scams. There are so many postings for jobs but none reply to their own advertisements.
Sadly, I think the job posts are bogus and created so people upgrade their account.
I would give it a 0 if that was an…
I would give it a 0 if that was an option. Within only a week of being on the site, all three people who reached out to me for services were SCAMMERS. The company takes no responsibility for managing this at all.
The company spams you multiple times of day with the same opportunities for pet sitting over and over again day after day.
Removing my profile from their site today. 3 strikes you’re out.

You continually get solicitation for petsitter on email. They limit your conversation to 3 messages saying upgrade to get unlimited access. OK I upgraded and emails with supposed customers stopped. What came through appeared to be same old emails. When you start trying to message not getting consistent or meaningful responses. Having hard time login to see inbox. Site is very unclear and forget help line. They just send generic who we are. Then they say for more money boost your showing. Did that and got same old sites. Tried to call client and told give pin. got voicemail that cut off.
Very user unfriendly. Believe a scam.
Absolute joke Scam Alert
Absolute joke, SCAM ALERT
Don't waste your time and I have just done.
You are only allowed to send ONE…
You are only allowed to send ONE message to sitters and then they force you to pay money to send more. What an utter scam. After taking personal information. Piece of trash company do not use this scam
this entire website is a scam dont trust it
I think this entire website is a scam/fraud. Seeing all the other peoples reviews reassured me that it is indeed a scam. I made an acccount on this website to become a pet sitter because I needed an income and I’ve been messaged by multiple people claiming to have pets to be pets that are cared for and I’ve tried to link up with them to do a meet and greet for I actually care for their animals so I could meet their animals to see if their animals got along with me or whatever and There always something like they’re out of town or like they’re being babysat by the neighbour and I have to go to wherever and I have to except some type of check or something and deposit it or whatever usually up to like $1000-$2000 check to accept the job and what not and it’s always the same backstory and it’s never a legit job and it’s a real shame because people who are actually like looking for work like me it’s like a real slap in the face because I’m trying to find some trying to find work and this is just like basically I’m like oh you got a job and then oh no I don’t. I really Don’t. I’m just getting scammed by another scam artist if I was able to provide screenshots and proof that I’ve been scammed on this from being somebody who’s trying to be a pet sitter and I’ve also gone on this website trying to get my pet sitter as well and both times I was scammed, so don’t trust this thing because yeah, I’ve proven everything if I was able to post it that would
Meeting lovely animals
I have been introduced to some beautiful pets who I now care for on a regular basis.
Obviously a very different experience to some who have reviewed.
Total disappointment—beware!
Registered with PetSitter.com hoping to find legit pet‐sitting gigs, but instead encountered scammy profiles, requests for payment upfront, and no real support when I asked questions. Feels like a waste of money and time.
Most Likely a SCAM
I provided a profile several years ago, and received some replies. Then nothing, except the peoples' messages to me are in mirror image and scrambled.. I requested and received a refund of 25.00. Now I get emails from PS.com that there are more people wanting sitters. When I try to send anyone a message, the screen shows Error 403 even when clicking Upgrade, there is the same error. Many people register with Rover.com, but the sitter does not receive 100% of the payment.
Legit pet sitting site.
Hi. I am a pet care provider and i have used petsitter.com for about 4 years now. The site itself is not a scam. Unfortunately there are people trying to scam anyone who lets them on any websites possible. We all need to pay attention and be accountable for our own safety. But from this site, I've met some amazing families that i still work with. Im also a member of 4 other similar sites and petsitter.com is a rival competitor.
This website is a total scam
This website feels like a total scam. They fill it with fake profiles, connect you with supposed "sitters," and then those sitters disappear after you message them. A few even replied and accepted the job, only to vanish from the platform right after. I’d check back for an update and see things like “last seen online 9 days ago” when I messaged them 8 days ago, or “last seen online 6 days ago” after messaging them 5 days ago. I don’t know too many people actively looking for work who ghost immediately after accepting a job. Something’s definitely not right here.
BEWARE!
BEWARE!
I posted my profile to find dog sitting jobs.
They only inquiries I got were complete bogus, scams.
Individuals offering inordinately high salaries, to be paid in advance, without ever meeting or even a phone conversation.
Of course, they wanted all my personal information, such as exact address and year of birth, supposedly so their clerk or PA could send a check.
Once I refused, they did not attempt contact again
DO NOT USE
Terrible unreliable
Terrible unreliable. I posted a job and received a few replies but then they stopped corresponding. My father inlaw was dying and and I couldn't get any responses for an inhome sitter, like if these people dont want to work then dont get on sites like this. I found a great girl that I hired as my full time sitter and now makes close to $1000 per month guaranteed. If one of these people would have responded they now would have had a monthly guaranteed cash income. .
I GOT SCAMMED
I jumped in before I realized it’s a scam. I reached out to “customer service” and the scammer messaged me back saying it’s like email, you have to wait for a response. It’s been over a month and guess what, no response. I paid for the background check and premium service, what I got was a premium scam. Somebody please investigate them!
Shady auto renew practices AVOID
Shady practices automatically enabling automatic renewals on subscriptions.
Suggest the company reviews state rules regarding auto renewal as they did not follow the rules as defined by my state (Maryland) at time of subscription.
I now live in the UK which has even stricter rules and this company just does not care.
Had to cancel my debit card and will be informing BBB and states attorney once I finish writing this.
Shame on you for running such a sleazy business practice.
I just started emailing this guy name…
I just started emailing this guy name something Russel and he got a little tense when I said I was confused on something he was talking about he said he'd email me a check for 3100 and I'd keep my pay check and give the rest to a guy who is painting his house even my mom said it was a scam I don't believe her untill I saw everyone making reviews on my same experience now I know I am deleting this app as we speak
site for scammers
PETSITTER.COM - This site (at least the free membership) seems to be a place for scammers not people that want a pet sitter! My first interaction… long story guy was out of town, his dog was with his buddy that had an emergency, after the elaborate story and hours of texting he wanted to pay up front…. Red flag! Sent the email for an Etrans, low and behold he had a new bank account and couldn’t send Etrans yet 2nd red flag, so he wanted to pay by E cheque … Called the bank NEVER except E cheques unless you know the person well!. We also checked his area code although he supposedly lived in a 416 area code, but was on a business trip in NYC, his area code was 747 -345-2770 California) told the guy you can pay cash when you pick the dog up… never heard from Kev D again!
