I really wanted to love Lookiero
I really wanted to love Lookiero, but after many, many boxes, I’m left feeling disappointed.
I have consistently taken the time to update my preferences before each order. Whether I wanted summer and beach clothes, workwear, or specifically tops rather than bottoms, I was always clear about what I needed from my next box. Unfortunately, those requests were rarely, if ever, reflected in the selections I received.
My latest box was the final straw. I specifically asked for clothing suitable for the beach and 36°C summer weather in Spain, yet I received cardigans, jumpers and heavier trousers. I simply don’t understand how those items matched my request.
When I contacted customer service, I received what felt like a generic response saying the selection met my requirements. When I asked for specific examples of which items they believed were suitable for 36°C weather, they couldn’t explain it.
I also came away with the impression that the boxes are put together based on whatever stock is available rather than being genuinely personalised. Many of the pieces felt dated and didn’t reflect current fashion trends or the season. Instead of feeling like I had my own personal stylist, it often felt like I was being sent leftover stock.
The concept behind Lookiero is fantastic, and that’s why I gave it so many chances. But a personal styling service should actually listen to its customers and adapt each box to their requests. After so many orders, I simply don’t feel that’s happening.
I genuinely hope they improve the service because it has so much potential, but based on my experience, I can’t recommend it.
