A person came to my home claiming to be from the local energy provider and asked for details about my current electricity provider and contract. I provided the information because I believed it was required for administrative purposes. I was not aware that this information would be used to start a new electricity contract with Lekker Energie.
I never received any notification that a new contract had been created or activated. Later, I discovered that the contract confirmation had been sent to an incorrect email address that did not belong to me, and I never received any letter or email regarding the contract.
After I contacted customer service, they acknowledged that the confirmation had been sent to the wrong email address and agreed to cancel the contract. I appreciate that they resolved the issue, but the overall experience was confusing and stressful

I was called by e representative (no idea where she had my number) to offer me a better price for power delivery. I stayed on because she was nice and the priced seemed appealing, she then went on to send me the offer per e-mail. She asked me to check the e-mail to see that it had arrived, which I confirmed. Then she asked me to open the link of the offer, to confirm the details. Then she went on to ask me to sign the offer. I said politely, thank you, but I will first review the details before I sign anything. Then her tone suddenly changed: "What is there to think about?" "Well, I would like to review the contract in details before I sign anything". "But we have already talked about the details, you know everything you need to know!" I went on to say that no, I want to review the details, and perhaps I also want to compare with other offers. I felt that she became even more aggressive and kind of frown-laughed at this, saying "We have all vendors in our database, I have already given you the best price there is!" I said: "But regardless I want to do my own research" She continued to pressure me, stating that I should just sign right away, and I can always cancel later, just do it etc., upon I started to say that I want to hang up now, I am hanging up now, which she ignored and continued to talk until I simply had to hang up. ....Unbelievable, I haver never in my life experienced something like this, this is not ethical behaviour.
Worst Experience. I emailed the entire case, even on the phone they donot answer properly.
Do not get Lekker energy or gas!.
I was tricked by a guy who came to my house door speaking in german about this amazing offer they have which involves getting your electricity bill lower than the one you currently have. In my case with Vattenfall. The guy came in my house asking me for information about my contract with Vattenfall, at the beginning was a nice approach and then it started to get uncomfortable. I said yes to everything he said because basically I wanted him out of my place. After he left I received an email with my new contract with Lekker with no customer number and with a SEPA mandate. I started looking for information online and it seems to be a scam, so I called and contacted the customer service via phone and email requesting the cancellation of the contract. In Germany you normally have 14 days to cancel any contract. I was told that I would receive the Widerruf (revocation) document via email in the next 24 hours, I never did, so I called again, they said that it was sent via post and that I will receive it next week. Im like no, I need it now, please send via email. The guy started get more and more rude until I said that I will complaint to the police and file a report and then he finished the call.
THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
THE WAY THEY OPERATE IS VERY SCAMY AND NOTHING IS BEING TOLD. THEY WAT TO DO EVERYTHING ON A CALL BUT NO INFORMATION IS SHARED FROM THEIR SIDE.
DO not get Lekker Energy, this is a total FRAUD!
From what I have read online, this is a trap for foreigners, dont fall into it!
Also scammed by the door.
In general a really sketchy thing to do to foreigners.
I have a feeling that the target foreigners, He wrang my bell out of nowhere in the middle of my sleep and told me that ''WE ARE ELECTRICITY PEOPLE, WE ARE CHECKING YOUR ELECTRICITY'' , So I thought that I might have missed something from my landlord because I had problems with one of my sockets before. He then talked me into signing things I couldn't understand in a dark room, Like am not a robot blablabla Took my Data, and told me towards the end that everything is about changing into a new electricity company. I feel cheated. The 2 stars are only for friendliness. They should change their Tactics.
These guys come out of nowhere, knock your door and convince you that your existing provider is unfair to you.
I was in the middle of something, he came and explained to me a lot but then I had to ask him to come afterwards. He didn't come at the scheduled time and anyway I wanted to avoid him, so I put a note for that guy on my doorbell stating that I am outside and will fill up the form online. When he came back, I saw him pulling that note and flipping in the air rudely. Disgusting old guy.
There are already many negative reviews online. They keep increasing you bills 2x 3x as time passes by.
I am a woman in my 20’s, living by myself and currently not lekker Energie’s client. I live on the ground floor in the back house, and any non-residents should ring first building door and second building door to finally reach the building I live in. Last week, a man rang my second door several times. I opened the door to asked who that is, and the person directly asked me if I speak German or English. I shorted answered “English”. Then the man told me “I am from your electricity company to check your electricity condition” and he comes in as if he was really going to investigate my electricity condition.
I was wearing my pyjamas and it was not something I feel comfortable to wear in front of a stranger, hence I asked him “I haven’t received any letter from the Housemaster or your company about this visit” which he ignored to answer. Then, He directly comes into my private space and bluntly asked me “Do you live here alone?“. I lied out of fear “No, I live here with my boyfriend. He is out jogging and will be back any time soon”. A couple of disturbing questions about my boyfriend followed - where he is, etc.
Then he asks me “Show me your last electricity bill. You will pay less from April” without any explanation. I told him that “I don’t have any right now and I have to check my laptop”. He kept insisting “Show me your bills” and asked me “Can I sit on your sofa?“. My sofa is where I sleep, so I refused and suggested him to sit on the kitchen table chair. He refused it, saying ” I cannot open my bag here”. So I had to suggest to him on my sofa to wait for me so I can grab my laptop. When I bring my laptop from another room, I saw him checking on my body which made me feel very uncomfortable and even more unsafe. I took a blanket on the sofa to hide my body, and he kept looking at me while I was putting the blanket on.
In front of the sofa he was sitting on, I have my workout station where some dumbbells and barbells are. While pushing me to show him my bills, he asked “Your boyfriend do sport?“, “Is he big?“, “Your boyfriend must be strong and big just like I was when I was younger” with a hands gesture. This made me even more uncomfortable and unsafe. I finally found my bill from my laptop and showed him. Then he asked me “Which electricity company do you use?“. I asked him back “Wait, you said you are from my electricity company?“. He responded, “No, I am from a German company, you are using Vattenfall? They are a Swiss company, you should use Ekker Energie, a German company”. I got completely tricked by his lie and he put me in a very uncomfortable situation in my own house with all of his horrible attitudes.
The moment I realised it, I asked him “Leave your company card, my boyfriend and I will move in a couple of months together and I will contact you.” I had to lie again to kick him out of my house and feel safe. He said,” I don’t have any company card, but I will write you my personal number. Call me, okay? call me”. Then I was finally able to kick him out.
I cannot believe that I went through this horrible situation and I saw many other women who live alone had the same situation with people who claim to work for Ekker Energie’. As result, he knows where I live, and that I am alone during the day, and he can just come back to my place any time if he decides. Horrible -I know which elec company I will NEVER sign with.
They send cold-callers / door-steppers into apartments to harass tenants into signing up with them. This is not trustworthy behaviour from a business.
Very aggressive sales tactics. They made my girlfriend sign something (I wasn't there) saying it was just something about "privacy", but we are suspicious that they signed us up to their services without our permission. My girlfriend shouldn't have signed, but they shouldn't have pushed her into it.
