I'm sharing this experience so other business owners don't fall into the same trap.
My company (micro) was officially deregistered on January 14, 2026. In March, I contacted LegalPlace to cancel my registered office contract and request a pro-rata refund of my annual subscription, which had been paid in full at the beginning of the year. A perfectly reasonable request — why pay for 12 months when only 2 were actually used?
The cancellation itself was processed within the day — a speed I wish they'd shown on the refund side. Even better: my access to the platform was cut so fast that I didn't even have time to download all my business mail. Professional documents, gone overnight, with zero notice.
As for the refund: a flat-out refusal. Not a single euro. Two follow-ups, two identical and clearly automated responses, hiding behind their "general terms and conditions." No attempt at dialogue, no goodwill gesture, no consideration for the situation whatsoever.
The most troubling part: at no point during my cancellation request was I informed that no refund would be possible. Had I known, I would have simply waited until the end of my contract. Instead, they let you cancel without any warning, shut down the service immediately, and keep the full amount. The process is ruthlessly well-oiled.
In short: when it comes to collecting your money, everything is seamless and automated. When it comes to showing a shred of fairness toward a customer, nobody's home.
LegalPlace should be called LegalTrap. I strongly advise any entrepreneur looking for a trustworthy registered office provider to look elsewhere.

Bad sales rep, but Julia saved the day
Poor experience due to sale-driven customer service.
I wanted to setup a company (SCI). I knew what setup I wanted going in, had done it before, and scheduled a free consultation call to validate that it was possible.
The person on the other side clearly had no clue what I was talking about but was a yes-man and just wanted to do a sale. He assured me that what I wanted to do was possible in the form (which you can only access once you order). He gave me a discount on LegalPlace's fee of 15% (which I assume was a way to get the sale attributed).
Once I did the order, the option I was looking for was nowhere to be found. I got the free 1 month "Legal assistance" trial, which was equally useless, as they only redirect you to the form when you have question about company setup.
I then contacted customer service, which told me that what I wanted to do was not part of their offering. So I requested a refund, asking if I would get the full amount, which the person couldn't answer. The original cost was 416.06 EUR, including 315,08 EUR that were billed as administrative costs (in other words, not LegalPlace's fee). When my refund came through, it was only 297 EUR, or around 71% of the original amount, despite never having completed (and submitted) my application.
Upon calling customer support again, I got another representative, who told me that it was because I had uploaded some (but not all) files (!!). Asking to speak to a representative, I was told I would be called back "within 10 to 15 minutes". Obviously that didn't happen.
Overall, if you fit nicely into a box, it can likely be an acceptable service, but if you ever have to contact CS for anything than getting the discount, move along.
EDIT: After this review, Julia from customer support contacted me and review my file. She was much more helpful than her peers and she ended up resolving the situation. Thank you Julia!
