This is unacceptable

This is unacceptable, I want my knives shipped by overnight to me ASAP, it is not my fault that your shipping department has delayed my shipped, I am without knives, if I would have know that I had to send my precious knives to New York, I would not have done it, After all I am in California, and for my inconvenience I want a Supervisor to contact me ASAP by phone. I will never use your service again, you pride yourselves on a 24 hour turnaround. Mark my words I will tell friends and family of how this order was treated. If Knife Aid lost my knives you will be replacing all of them!!!

I wish I would have found and read…

I wish I would have found and read reviews before using this company. Rookie mistake. I am a chef and it appealed to me that I could have my knives sent, sharpened, and returned to me within 7-10 days total as promised on their website. I sent them off on Monday June 29th. I never received an email or update within my account on their website that they received my knives. I had to reach out to them directly a week later. They claimed "we just received them". It is now July 16th and I have yet to receive my knives. After numerous emails to them, they sent me a tracking number however the package has been awaiting a pickup for almost a week now. Every time I email, I get long responses apologizing profusely and even cancelling my membership and refunding me even though I did not explicitly ask for it. It's all so bizarre. I will find every outlet online to let everyone know now to use this company.

DO NOT USE KNIFE AID!!!

DO NOT send your knives to this company and AVOID at all costs. My dad sent 4 Shun knives in to Knife Aid at the end of October to be sharpened. He was so worried about where they were after nearly 2 months of being missing, that I got involved.

Not only does Knife Aid not have a contact number to call, they are not prompt when it comes to answering emails either. When they do, they are hardly helpful.

We went to their Agoura Hills location for help to see where our knives are. That location has been closed since September and is completely empty aside from packages of other people’s knives sitting on the counter. Why is it still listed on your website?!?!?

On November 22nd the knives reached our local post office so we were under the impression they would be out for delivery, as they were marked that way online. Then instead of delivering the knives, they were “forwarded” to an unknown location. When we opened a case up with USPS about this, we were informed that a “representative of knife aid had received the package.” When we followed up with Knife Aid about this they had NO IDEA where the knives were and kept sending us old tracking numbers. They supposedly “escalated it” to their warehouse team, which led to absolutely no results. We were on the verge of filing police reports not only in Agoura Hills, but New York as we figured they had scammed and stolen nearly $1k worth of knives.

They also sent us a request for $20 for “repair costs” as one of the knives had a chip and the other a broken tip. In that email it said that the knives had been delivered, which they had not been. The audacity to ask for more money when nothing had been delivered thus far was insult to injury.

After refreshing the tracking numbers online every day, we finally saw them out for delivery yesterday and after 2 MONTHS and being lost in the mail, we got our knives back.

Overall this has been an extremely stressful and negative experience. I feel sorry for anyone else who has entrusted their sentimental and expensive knives to this company. I hope everyone can get them back. We thought for sure ours were gone forever. DO NOT USE KNIFE AID!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! I’d used Knife Aid twice and had good results. The third time, however, was terrible. I packaged everything up as to their instructions and mailed it off. The first two times my knives were back within about a week. This time two weeks went by and still no word from Knife Aid. So, I contacted them and was told that my knives had been confiscated by the post office for inadequate shipping. It was a PREPAID label! And it had already been on the package when I got it from Knife Aid. Knife Aid asked me for a detailed description of my knives which I did. They said they would contact the post office and got back to me saying essentially that there was nothing they could do. I asked them how they were going to solve the issue since I had done everything according to their directions for mailing my knives to them. Knife Aid offered me a gift card to Zwilling. Ugh! One of the knives I sent them was a Shun santoku knife, another a Spyderco pocketknife that had been a gift from a friend to my husband! These two knives alone were worth over 400$! The other two knives were one from a set of 8 Chicago Cutlery steak knives, and kitchen shears. Although not worth as much as the first two, my steak knives were going to be an uneven number. Ultimately, they said they would send us a check for 400$ which they claimed was the max their insurance would pay out for things like this. However, that was over a month ago, and no more word from them. I tried contacting them again and their bot said that they would look into it. No more. BUYER BEWARE

WATCH OUT

WATCH OUT! Missing Knives and zero response from Knife Aid! On
On June 25, I sent in 5 packets with four knives/scissors in each packet. A total of 20 items to be sharpened. By July 8, they had not been returned. On July 15, a parcel arrived containing 17 items. Three knives are missing, and 2 of those knives are very special, hand-made knives from Damascus steel, which I was given as a gift. I have emailed the only contact email address they have many times, and I get ZERO response! I emailed photos of the knives laid out on the table as I packaged them up to send, and then photos of what was returned, identifying the 3 missing knives. The 3 missing knives were in the same packet of 4, and 1 out of 4 was returned, so logically, Knife Aid got all the knives. I have been a customer for 5 years and never had a problem until now. They also, by design, have NO way for you to call them. The only communication path is this single email address, which they don’t respond to.
