BEWARE of this company's cancellation policy. My wife and I booked a very expensive South American, 31 day tour with Jacada and gave an equally substantial deposit (over $25k). Nine months before our scheduled tour we found out we were going to be grandparents for the first time and the due date fell during the tour. Naturally we requested a postponement to a later date as we did not want to miss this event and our travel coordinator was happy to oblige - as long as we requested the postponement in writing. She said there would be minimal cancellation fees so we agreed and looked forward to our new trip.

A few months later we were given an outrageously high quote with an absurdly punitive cancellation / postponement fee. We were essentially forced to accept one of three options:
- Lose the entire $25k deposit
- Forfeit half the deposit and take another outrageously priced trip with them within a year OR
- $10k in penalties and apply the remaining balance to a week long trip in Peru and 2 days in Cartagena

Reluctantly we took the third option as at least we were able to recuperate some of our deposit. We were reminded during phone calls with the "leadership team" that this was being done as a courtesy to us as it was their right to keep the entire deposit.

Jacada should be ashamed of their actions. I caution those reading this review and considering booking a trip with them to look into more reviews about this company. I wish I had. Apparently this is a practice that they do quite often.

The tours and tour guides were wonderful. They were very informed and showed us the real Norway. We met and lunched with a local baker in her kitchen. We stopped at the battle site of two Viking kings and met with an expert regarding same. We met and lunched with a local vineyard owner for a wine tasting. Very personable experiences. The city guides for Oslo and Bergen were also very informative and gave us a good overview of each city. We had the right balance between touring and personal time, and city and rural experiences.

The first time we found Jacada I did some research on their agency and found lots of great reviews but some comments that they were expensive. After my first trip under their care I would greatly revise that statement to say, without Jacada and their impressive team of wrap around support our first trip across 5 countries in Africa I would not imagine doing this trip any other way! We were taken care of every step of the way from extensive support for each leg of the journey in the airports, on the ground, when things went wrong, to their amazing property selections based on a unique knowledge of both the properties and the needs of the guests. The details of our trips were extensive, more than 8 small plane flights across the continent, numerous border crossings, and a few delayed or cancelled flights. Jacada was with us every step of the way, and once we arrived at each destination our hosts already knew who we were and made sure our experience was the best they could offer.

Jacada created a spectacular itinerary for our trip to Georgia and Armenia! With a clever mixture of nature hikes, spectacular restaurants, home visits, scenic drives, and other stunning personalized experiences, such remarkable planning made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us! Without Jacada, we would have never truly immersed ourselves in Georgian culture and discovered the world's greatest hidden gem!

Our travel consultant, Ellie, created a wonderful holiday for our family in South Africa. She listened carefully to what we were looking for and designed a holiday that was perfectly tailored to us, including the pre-teens. Everything worked seamlessly on the ground and we felt very looked after. Thank you Ellie and Jacada!

Jacada travel planned our family trip to Japan and we had an amazing experience. Everything went seamlessly and all the activities, tours and hotels they booked were fantastic. I would not hesitate to use them again for future trips

My recent trip through the Caucasus countries of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia was different from my visits to 59 other countries. In a word - intimate. Mass tourism has not reached the Caucasus yet. There are no list-topping sites to visit, so my Jacada Travel Designer Rosie crafted an itinerary that was a perfect blend of history, culture, scenery, architecture, local contact, and lifestyle. A genuine camaraderie quickly developed with my guides and drivers as we explored the surprisingly cosmopolitan capital cities on foot and roadtripped through the diverse countrysides. Memorable moments were both planned and serendipitous- lunch, laughs, and wine tasting with a local natural wine maker; witnessing a traditional baptism ceremony in a centuries-old church chanted in hauntingly beautiful Grabar (Liturgical Armenian); dinner with my guides and drivers joined by a Georgian polyphonic singers group; an impromptu visit to a local farmers market; visiting a master qvevri artisan; and some hands-on baking lessons. I found the people of the Caucasus to be unfailingly warm and hospitable. Altogether a most unforgettable travel experience.

Chloe, Rachel and Rahma from Jacada organized us again such a truly amazing and authentic adventure through Malaysia (KL and Borneo) and the Komodo Islands. We loved every moment of it: from looking at a male Orang-Utan in a pristine forest chasing a female to the magical fire-fly trees, and feeling like in aquarium while being moved by the current at Marwan. Besides the outstanding program, it is the peace of mind that Jacada offers us while on holiday that makes it very unique as all we need to think about is being on holiday, the rest is being taken cared of! My husband and I recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Norway, and once again, Jacada Travel exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the entire experience was completely stress-free, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy every moment of our adventure.

Our travel designer, Meg, put together a wonderful itinerary, and her firsthand knowledge of Norway made all the difference. Every destination, activity, and accommodation was thoughtfully chosen, and we loved every aspect of the trip. The hotels were beautiful, the guides were knowledgeable and engaging, and everything flowed seamlessly.

Probably the best trip we have ever taken thanks to the planning of David and Robynne and the ground crew in Kenya. Sarara Treehouses, Borana Lodge and Wilderness Mara were all fantastic in location, game drives and most importantly, the people. Can't recommend Jacada enough for well planned, experienced and thorough travel planning!

Jacada went above and beyond in helping us plan a wonderfully memorable trip to Brazil. All the lodges and hotels they recommended were top notch, the guides we had throughout the trip were wonderful and we were taken care of throughout the trip with the utmost and professional care. This is our third time traveling with Jacada and we can't be happier to plan future trips with them.

Our recent 19-day family trip to Japan and Thailand was a fantastic experience thanks to Jacada Travel. Traveling as two family groups across six different destinations can be challenging, but Jacada handled every single detail flawlessly.
From customized excursions and fantastic restaurant picks to all of our complex travel logistics, they took away all the stress. Jacada planned our incredible family trip to Peru. Every single detail - from flights to hotels, guides to transport - was planned perfectly. They were so responsive, and adapted everything to suit our situation. The people involved were incredible.
