Ultra fast processing and reimbursement much appreciated.

Stay away from the Italian subsidiary of this company. Two years ago, during a renovation, a fire broke out, caused by a company carrying out the work. Despite the clear and proven liability, the company refuses to reimburse the damages assessed by independent experts and their own. It's appalling to be held hostage by this company, which uses every plausible excuse not to reimburse the damages. Stay away for your own safety and that of your loved ones.

After filling the form and with intervention of the Swiss site the answer from the Italian company remains the same with already contested issues.
SO AVOID in any case any insurance subscription with the Italian site. There should be a reason why the trust pilot rating of them is merely 1....
Be ready to be called in tribunal

I had an ancient with a 3 year old car that had only driven 20 km and the experience with Halvitia has been terrible. Long time to process the insurance papers (one month). Claims that my car had several colors before the accident despite this car never having had any accidents and been very well maintained. The rudeness of the insurance evaluator is beyond my values and ended up with me having to pay for a total repaint of the car. All painters said it was the only right think to do but the insurance company after jet another month waiting said I could just complain and that would properly take further 3-4 months. I am chocked that a Suisse insurance company can act so unprofessional. Keep away from this insurance company

We have household insurance with Helvetia.
Due to a flood caused by water from our sink, our parquet floor became warped. I didn’t know if it was covered by the insurance but when I rang them, they confirmed that they covered water damage. I was very impressed by the fact they replied exactly the same day as I wrote to them. All they asked was that I write them an email and sent them a couple of photographs and they replied the same day confirming that they would meet the claim after I had got some estimates. One firm was proposed by them and another by myself.

Although the firm I chose myself was a little bit more expensive they accepted that they would pay that quote when I wrote to them and explained why I wanted to use the more expensive firm.

During the course of the works we discovered an unexpected hidden problem which incurred an extra Fr.1200 of costs so I had to take an immediate decision to authorise that expense to be covered and was pleased when later on Helvetia confirmed that there would be no problem meeting the extra.

When I received the final bill from the contractor and sent photos to Helvetia, they refunded my bank account in full the next day.

Every communication I had with Helvetia was responded to immediately and there was never a problem with any part of my claim nor any issue. I found them to be a very efficient and friendly firm and I can only highly recommend them to anybody else who is dissatisfied with their own insurance company for some reason.
