This company is trying to make me pay a…

This company is trying to make me pay a bill for a service I have never used. I have repeatedly explained that I have never received or used their services, yet they continue sending me bills without addressing what I am telling them.

What is even more frustrating is the way they handle customer complaints. No matter who I speak with, they seem unwilling to listen, understand my point of view, or properly investigate the situation. They simply continue sending the bill.

I strongly dispute this charge and believe I am being unfairly billed for a service I never used. I have never been a customer of this company, yet my name has now been associated with a bill that I do not owe.

Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to be careful when dealing with this company. I have found their customer service to be rude, disrespectful, and unwilling to resolve the issue.

I formally protest this charge and expect this matter to be investigated and corrected immediately.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Two years ago I submitted a form with my symptoms for treatment and during intake it appeared my insurance would be accepted and I’d only have to pay my normal copay of $25.00. During the “appointment” the provider said there was nothing that could be done until I had been sick at least 5 days, it was a crappy appointment (if you can call it that, this wasn’t a video call, I submitted a form and got a message response back, that’s all) but at least it was only $25.

Or so I thought, some time after the appointment I receive a fraud alert on my Amex that Helix was trying to charge 78.75 for this appointment. I’m thinking “surely this isn’t correct and they just forgot to bill my insurance”. Oh how wrong I was, they billed my insurance $500, and $78 was the supposed amount I owed.

$500 for one text message, no prescription, no real recommendations, a text message to fill out the form again in 5 days. I decide to ignore it, because the $400+ from my insurance is already grossly overpaying for this service. This goes on for 2 years where every 2-3 months they try to charge my card and it’s flagged as fraud and fails (fitting).

Finally it’s submitted to collections, where I suddenly owe $188 for this service. Come to find out a $100 administration fee and $10 late fee was added a few months prior to it being submitted. I’m not sure what they’re administrating, their patient portal looks like a 12 year old coded it in 1995 after one coding class, their customer service is non-existent/non-responsive, and their providers don’t really provide any service. So I dispute the amount with the collection agency and request proof this is the actual amount owed.

2 weeks later it’s promptly returned back to HelixVM, this time the admin fee dated the same day as my one and only appointment, and they’re back to their old antics of trying my card on file, they’re like the stalker ex you don’t want back. I have quite literally never seen a company so pervasively persistent on receiving payment and so incredibly deceptive about their billing practices. Had I known it would be more than my copay, I wouldn’t never consented to services, had I known about the $100 admin fee I never would’ve consented to the services.

Save your wallet and your sanity and stay away HelixVM. I could be dying from the plague and this be the only medical service left on earth, and I’d let the plague take me before I’d use them again. Not that they’d do anything anyways “come see us again in 5 days when you’re dead from the plague, then we’ll see what we can do”.

I can’t say they’re committing fraud, but literally who charges $500 for an appointment under 5 minutes, or says they’re in network with your insurance when they must not be based on the copay, or charges an admin fee for doing *nothing*. If the billing was transparent upfront, I never would’ve hit submit. Very clearly a company who doesn’t care about return patients.

If it isn’t clear enough I’m deeply unpleased with the service, I’d give it zero stars if I could, one is still too kind. Them advertising a 5 star average on their home page is a joke, go to their BBB “unclaimed” page and you’ll see what people really think about the company, and their response (or lack of)

Misleading

Misleading. Added tests were requested before treatment. I would be very cautious before using this site. Online it states that you can fast track ( paying extra for it) once you do that, provide information and receive treatment plan before a prescription will be sent, tests such an EKG and labs are requested. For individuals who private pay, this is difficult to complete without being given time to do. No medication will be started until the tests are completed and submitted. I was charged for a treatment I cannot start until I complete costly tests. Please beware.

I don’t normally write reviews but this company is a complete scam!! Three separate charges which they DO NOT state anywhere on their website. It was supposed to be $1.99 first then $43.99 AFTER you receive your prescription. Then I get a separate charge of $30.82-no idea what for. And there answer to me was “Not available by practice discretion. Please contact the practice.”. It was a simple request for antibiotics for a tooth infection!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!

I am deeply dissatisfied with Helix VM

I am deeply dissatisfied with Helix VM. What should have been a simple healthcare experience turned into a frustrating situation involving insurance, billing, and a complete lack of transparency.

Getting clear answers was unnecessarily difficult, and I was left feeling that I had to fight to understand what I was being charged for and why. Customer service did not provide the level of assistance I expected from a healthcare company.

I have now filed a formal grievance regarding my experience.

I also find it very concerning that Trustpilot has placed a guidelines breach warning on Helix’s profile and states that a number of fake reviews have been removed.

After my experience, I would not recommend Helix VM.

My experience with HelixVM has been one…

My experience with HelixVM has been one aggravation after another. The incompetence started before I even saw a provider—they canceled my appointment twice, claiming I hadn't confirmed my televisit, even though I followed their instructions.
When I finally managed to actually meet with a provider, they assured me they were sending a prescription to my pharmacy. That was four days ago. I have followed up every single day asking when I can expect to pick up my medication, only to be dismissively told that "it can take a while."
Their own website explicitly advertises that prescription processing takes 4 to 6 hours—not 4 to 6 days. To make matters worse, getting even that vague non-answer required pulling teeth, as customer support barely bothers to respond to messages at all.
If you actually need timely medical care and reliable communication, look elsewhere. HelixVM fails on basic accountability, customer service, and their own stated timelines.

This company took my money. Sent a prescription to the pharmacy, but would never complete the requirements needed to fill my prescription. My prescription was canceled because the pharmacy couldn't reach a real person.

A complete SCAM

A complete SCAM. They don’t even read the chats, I had to repeat the same information over and over again regarding my medical situation, and they still completely disregarded the chat and came up with their own unhelpful treatment plan. Received no help at all, yet they want you to pay. Very crazy and delusional. Cornell Calinescu MD Is the provider I had and was NO help. Do not use. It’s stated they like to delete reviews, I will repost again and again. Terrible online medical servicing, save your money.
