Total loss of service, no repair, no refund, ignored complaint I’ve had no broadband since 12 October 2025 — now over two weeks.
An engineer confirmed the external cable has no power (red alarm on ONT), but no repair or fix date has ever been given.
Despite this, Hyperoptic continues charging me as if the service works.
I’ve to spend £ daily to work from cafés to keep my job.
Customer service is chaotic — long holds, disconnections, agents refusing to escalate or transfer to Customer Relations, and no written updates.
I’ve had to issue a formal complaint and Data Subject Access Request citing Ofcom’s Automatic Compensation Scheme, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and GDPR because the situation is still unresolved.
I’ve requested:
Repair within reasonable time or a temporary 4G hub or Refunds for all charges during the blackout
Reimbursement of my documented expenses
A written explanation of the fault and actions taken
If Hyperoptic cannot fix this immediately, I’ve asked for a deadlock letter so I can escalate to the Communications Ombudsman.
This experience shows no accountability, no communication, and no fairness.
Avoid until they demonstrate basic reliability and customer respect.
We had the internet disruption on our street, Liam Wright came and fix it straight away. He also contacted me twice over the phone to inform me about the progress and to make sure the time is suitable for me to be at home to check everything. Thanks guys

I was contacted by Hyperoptic towards the end of my contract period with various offers for renewal. I’m sceptical of cold calls and assumed it was a scam, but having verified the source they couldn’t have been more helpful. Shout-out to Alexsander Bocic on their Customer Service team for talking me through the merits of each package, costs over a 24-month period, and generally being very patient.
Had my issue with activation sorted very quick and efficient by Andriana Z of Chat Support, very helpful in finding the information for logging into my new WiFi router and account

I was nervous about signing up to a new service provider but having had such terrible service with Vodafone, I knew it was time. I spoke with Aleksandar who was absolutely amazing! I told him exactly what I wanted, my worries about my current broadband provider and that I live in a four storey property and require connection throughout the home. He was very direct and to the point and explained the benefits of the new plan. I am truly impressed with the customer service and I throughly appreciate someone who gets straight to the point. Dean installed my WiFi and provided excellent service! He contacted me the day before to confirm the appointment and arrived promptly the next day. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain how everything works. I really appreciated his patience and the fact that he cleaned up afterwards. I placed an order recently with Hyperoptics, and Vikas Nair was the main person who processed the order. He has been very helpful with the process, helping to acquire credit to pay the switching penalty. I am looking forward to the high speed fibre installation at my place. Hopefully all goes well.
