Tried to cancel and get a refund multiple times. Kept getting charged. Still fighting them. They suck.

I'm going to dispute the charge, but am curious if any of you out there have any advice or experience dealing with this sort of thing. I've never had this happen before.

This company is a scam. I cancelled right after initial subscription for a month was purchased at promo rate of $25. It then renewed a month later for $49.99! When I reported the fraudulent renewal they stated it was valid and refused to refund me. It states money back guarantee if dissatisfied, which I was as this company isn’t user friendly and doesn’t do as marketed, and they still refused to refund. I’m an unemployed parent actively searching for work and thought this company would help me get better offers but they just took almost $100 from me and offered no services. Total scam, poor customer service - do not fall for this!

Olivia from the support team was able to process my cancellation in a prompt and efficient manner.

I was reviewing the platform online and signed up unknowingly. I never used the platform, but the company refused to issue me a refund. Poor customer service and even worse policies. Website is predatory. Do not even go on their website. **Amendment to review. Global work AI did in fact refund my money which I appreciate. My concern is the company had the opportunity to refund my money twice before with two separate email conversations that I sent to customer service. It was only after I left the review that the company refunded the charge. Thank you for doing the right thing.

Terrible customer service
Really disappointing experience with GlobalWork.
I signed up for a 7-day subscription and realised the platform wasn’t for me. It automatically renewed and I contacted support immediately after the payment went through because I didn’t want to continue and hadn’t used the new subscription period.
Instead of actually helping, I kept getting the same responses about their policy, even though their own policy says exceptions can be considered individually.
I asked multiple times for my case to be escalated to a supervisor or manager. I’m still waiting for that escalation, and now they’ve simply stopped responding.
Extremely frustrating and honestly some of the worst customer support I’ve dealt with.
UPDATE: GlobalWork reached out to me after seeing this review and has now refunded the renewal charge as a goodwill gesture. I appreciate that they eventually resolved the issue. However, I do still feel the customer support experience leading up to this was unnecessarily frustrating, especially after repeatedly asking for my case to be escalated.

Scam-heads up: they will charge/renew subscriptions by the hour you signed up, not the day. Incredibly misleading service.

I cancelled my subscription the same day I signed up because I quickly realized the service wasn’t for me. I did not use the service afterward, but approximately three months later I was billed again.
When I contacted the company, I had to go through an extended back and forth to dispute the charge. The refund was not offered immediately. It was issued only after I strongly challenged the charge and posted this Trustpilot review.
To be fair, the company has now refunded the money, and I have updated my review to acknowledge that. However, I do not consider the refund a “goodwill gesture.” In my view, it was the correction of a charge that should not have occurred after I cancelled.
I recommend that anyone cancelling keep proof of the cancellation and watch their credit card statements carefully.

And the cancelation process is so ridiculous, you think you canceled but you have to tell them 3 different ways and times without any sort of confirmation. Avoid these parasites

Very unhappy with this organization. During signup it boasted that they would use AI to smart-match your resume to many available relevant jobs and then save you time by automatically applying to them. It only let me add a single resume. Then it matched me to over 100 jobs that were completely irrelevant to me—like not even close! And then for the few jobs on its platform that I had to find myself, I still had to manually apply to them anyways! Save your money!!

Wanted to check out this website as I am in need of a new position. When asking for a refund the customer service rep told me that:
- The platform must be actively used for 4 consecutive days within the first 7 days of purchase (for weekly and biweekly subscription durations)
- You must apply to at least 50 jobs over 4 consecutive days (for weekly/biweekly plans), with screenshots as proof
This seems like a job in itself! Very unfortunate and unfair as a first time user but took my money instantly.

THIS SERVICE IS A SCAM! They lure you in with a cheap upfront subscription, unclear renewal terms, and no reminder that you'll be charged again. The actual service they offer is no different than just doing your own LinkedIn search. None of the jobs I saw during that initial trial matched the parameters I set.
When I was charged $50 for the second month, I canceled the subscription less than an hour after the charge and politely asked for a refund. They refused, saying that since I was already charged, they couldn't issue a refund.
No legitimate subscription service I've ever used has refused a refund if you cancel within a reasonable amount of time. I think one hour of being charged is a reasonable amount of time! It's just a way for them to prey on people looking for work, knowing how easy it is for them to forget they are subscribed.
Stay far away.
