I paid €916.24 to FIRM24 for a BV incorporation. The process was abruptly stopped due to a communication/language preference, which happens. However, FIRM24 is now officially refusing to refund my money and wants to keep the full €916.24 without delivering the deed of incorporation.Keeping nearly a thousand euros for zero service delivered is a clear case of illegal retention of funds (Onverschuldigde betaling) under Dutch law. FIRM24 claims on their website to help foreign entrepreneurs, but their practices hide behind administrative excuses to pocket clients' money.I am formally reporting this case to the ACM (ConsuWijzer) for unfair commercial practices and escalating a complaint to the KNB (Royal Dutch Notarial Organisation) regarding their partner notary's involvement in blocking client funds. I have also initiated a formal dispute procedure with my bank (ING).Do not trust their smooth marketing if you are an international entrepreneur. I demand an immediate and full refund of my €916.24.

Customer care lines Never! gets connected.
No responses or even acknowledgments of communications. Looking at other reviews seems like more troubles are yet to come if I go ahead, so I have already requested refund.

Simple and clear explanation of services!
I had an excellent experience with Firm24, especially with Romeo.
Instead of trying to sell unnecessary services, they were completely honest and transparent. During our phone call, they explained that I did not need to spend extra money on their services just to obtain a Dutch KVK registration. Rather than encouraging unnecessary costs, they took the time to explain the entire process to me free of charge.
After our conversation, they also sent me a detailed email with clear step-by-step instructions covering everything I needed to know, including the required documents, registration procedure, and important tax considerations.
This level of professionalism and integrity is rare. It is clear that they genuinely want to help entrepreneurs make the right decisions instead of simply generating additional revenue.
I truly appreciate the time, patience, and honest advice they provided. Firm24 has earned my trust, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and professional guidance when starting or expanding a business in the Netherlands.
Thank you, Romeo and the Firm24 team, for your outstanding support!
Prettige communicatie, to the point. Het kwartiertje voelt wel drukzettend.
If you have a real, functioning business or anything slightly more complex than a standard 1-euro BV, stay far away from Firm24. They operate a rigid, automated assembly line, and if your case deviates by one millimeter, their system crashes and their notaries panic.
First, their KYC/Compliance process is borderline discriminatory. Despite living and paying taxes in the Netherlands for over 10 years, having a senior background in Big4, and providing full proof of my business substance, their automated system flagged me solely based on my place of birth. Instead of conducting a proper individual review, they use this as an excuse to demand extra "compliance fees" and a ridiculous €300 extra just for English communication.
Second, their legal and tax expertise is shockingly poor. I requested a standard, legally straightforward procedure: a tax-neutral transition of my sole proprietorship into a BV (geruisloze inbreng under Art. 3.65 Wet IB). The notary assigned to my case was completely clueless. Instead of doing the work, she panicked and demanded an expensive, formal auditor’s report (RA/AA statement) for the inbrengbeschrijving — which is NOT even required by Dutch corporate law for this specific procedure.
When confronted with the actual legal facts, they simply refused to process the file because they didn't know how to handle it.
Firm24 is a factory that only knows how to press "Next" on a standard template. If you are a professional, go to a real notary who understands Dutch tax law and treats clients as individuals, not as risk-flags in a flawed algorithm. I took my business elsewhere and it was solved in a fraction of the time.

I ran into some problems setting up a B.V. with a short call I got all these problems fixed. Frank was very clear and helpfull in what documents I had to provide and how to continue further. Would definitely recommend everyone to use this service.
I had a very poor experience with Firm24, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I purchased a package for setting up a B.V. in English. They stated that it would be done within 30 days. Long story short - after 50 days, and lots of lies, it had not even been submitted to the notary, as they didn't have an English-speaking notary they worked with (citing a nation-wide shortage). I cancelled the process with them, and I went direct to a notary and got it done within 4 days. My only positive from this experience is that they processed my full refund (after a couple of follow ups).

Firm24 promises more than they can deliver. And in the end they are not necessarily a service provider but a sales portal. Best example: after signing up for their bv-founding service you get a dashboard and in that personal dashboard you find what they call "tasks". None of those items actually are tasks however. They are all attempts to get you to add on services that you had previously said no to already. Firm24 then still shares your contact details with their network and that bombards you then with offers you again had said no to already. Their entire website is geared towards luring you in. I have great regrets I trusted them to handle my business

Do not use them. I have a bad experience with them.
They try to do it as fast as possible.
They ask information about the fiscalist they supplied there self.
They are screwing up my whole BV transistion.
I should have gone with another company.
if you want to transition to a BV, DO NOT USE FIRM24.

I used firm24 to setup a BV. Since I am not dutch, I asked if my a2 level is enough to not pay 300 euro translation fee, they said yes. However, then a person from the notary called me to check my details, tried to speak in Dutch and I could not understand, so he said I have to pay the translation fee and invoiced me. I accepted, knowing that this is the law, then he called me 2 mins later and asked me the questions in English and at the end he sent me a copy of the deed in English and dutch.
The next step was the signing of the deed via video call where I was expecting a sworn translator, as by the law. However, in the signing of the deed there was just me and a person from the notary, that spoke in English and it lasted 2 mins. I asked why there was no translator, he said that the 300 euro fee is just to translate the deed from Dutch to English.
So basically, if you don't speak Dutch, you will pay 300 euro for a translation of a template document, complete RIP OFF.

Very heplful and constructive advice of Romeo.
The options to book a meeting were plenty. We were on a call the next day already. Romeo helped me with clear advice. He then followed up almost very quickly with an email containing everything we had discussed.
made the call on time, direct approach.
Give good information and send the requested information fast to e-mail account
I didn't have the feeling my request was being listened to at all. I even explicitly said that , but was interupted while doing so....

Fabio was helpful and very professional.
short and to the point. Got the info I needed. thanks
The promised review and company formation have not been completed, despite several assurances that we would receive updates by email. We are no longer being called back or contacted via email.
The completion date keeps getting postponed without any consultation, even though we paid for formation within a specific timeframe. The file has supposedly been under review by the notary for quite some time, but I no longer believe that it was ever submitted to the notary. Disappointing!

If you're planning to incorporate a new company, stay away from these guys. Firm24 has been the most incompetent company I’ve dealt with in recent years. They completely wasted my time, only to later tell me they couldn’t help with the incorporation.
The notary they work with, VG Notarissen, was equally unprofessional and unresponsive throughout the process.
If you're an international citizen trying to open a Dutch BV, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. This was a disappointing experience from start to finish.
