Two years ago, I had a hair transplant at Dr. Hakan Clinic.
I was thrilled and satisfied from start to finish.

As a woman, it can be harder to find a provider. Many providers have less experience with female clients or, in some cases, work exclusively with male clients.
Clemens Weber then recommended Dr. Hakan to me, who also treats women and has experience in doing so, and I was truly impressed by his work and the many positive results. So the decision was very easy for me.
The communication and consultation beforehand with Clemens Weber (Health Travels) and Koray (Dr. Hakan Clinic) left nothing to be desired.
Both were extremely friendly, very professional, and always responded quickly.
The entire process went smoothly. I was picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel. 
The next day, Clemens picked me up and we went to the clinic together for my appointment.
The whole team was very nice, and I was welcomed so warmly that I almost felt at home.
Dr. Hakan and Koray discussed the hairline with me, and all my wishes were taken into account.
Then they took some photos and we got started right away. I was a little nervous, but Dr. Hakan was able to calm me down very quickly with his charismatic, witty, and calm demeanor.
The surgery went well and time flew by — it was calm and professional. They checked on me regularly and asked if everything was still okay.
After the procedure I was already very pleased with the results; you could already see how carefully and precisely the grafts had been placed. Exactly as we had discussed beforehand.
Apart from the normal swelling and a somewhat sleepless night spent with my head elevated, I had no difficulties after the surgery. The trip to the airport and the entire departure were also planned down to the last detail, and everything went perfectly well.
Now, two years later, I am very happy with the results and feel so much better than before. I would always do it again and it was absolutely the right decision, and I highly recommend Dr. Hakan Clinic and Clemens at Health Travels to anyone considering a hair transplant.
We stayed in touch even after the surgery, and I was able to ask questions at any time and always received quick advice, help, and tips regarding follow-up care.

After a long research process, I met Dr. Hakan and underwent a hair transplant procedure on February 22, 2025. I had been postponing this procedure, which I had wanted for a long time, due to the bad results I had seen around me. The most important thing for me was to design a natural hairline. The operation was performed very comfortably without any pain. The follow-up and care before and after the hair transplant were also excellent. The positive feedback I received from my close circle makes me very happy. People I meet for the first time never realize that I have had a hair transplant.
Since I had no hair on the top and back of my head before, the operation was planned in two stages. I am already very excited about the second operation to be performed on the crown area.

Pain was only during the anesthesia, then nothing at all until the end. A truly very positive experience… I only regret not having done it sooner!

Nearly a year ago, I received a hair transplant at this clinic with very high expectations. Unfortunately, I was somewhat let down by the service I received.

I purchased the stem cell hair transplant package of up to 3,500 grafts. Firstly, I believe the clinic had moved to a different hospital during my visit, as the Instagram videos were nothing like the place where I had my transplant. The rooms were very small, and staff were constantly bumping into my feet during the procedure.

On the day of the operation, everything felt extremely rushed. I had my bloods taken, stem cell treatment, PRP, and the full transplant completed in nearly under four hours. This may have been because it was a Friday and they wanted to finish early, but it also made me question how many grafts were actually used.

I felt the medical team lacked professionalism during my transplant. Two of the women assisting the technician would not stop laughing, singing, and talking loudly throughout the operation. This was very uncomfortable, as they were right beside my head the entire time, and it made it difficult to relax. I also required repeated injections of local anaesthetic, as I could feel the implant needle quite a lot during the procedure. There was a massive language barrier with the medical team; although they did speak English, it was still difficult at times to properly express how I was feeling during the operation.

Dr. Hakan himself was pleasant enough, but I felt that once I paid the full amount in cash before the operation, the standard of care and attention noticeably dropped.

My hairline was around a Norwood 2, with some recession in the temple area. When discussing my new hairline, Dr. Hakan was very dismissive about doing any work on my temples, even though this was something I really wanted done, as it is crucial for framing the face. He then stated, “You don’t want the same hairline as a Black man,” which I found quite ridiculous. He eventually agreed to add some grafts to thicken the temple area, but not to properly improve it. At this point, I felt very frustrated, and if I could go back, I wouldn’t have gone ahead with the procedure.

As for my results, I feel they are not great, especially when compared to friends who went to different clinics and had worse hairlines than mine. My transplant appears very thin, which has left me disappointed, particularly as I didn’t require many grafts to begin with.

Lastly, the “luxury hotel” I was placed in was terrible. I stayed for four nights, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable — like a rock — which is not ideal when you are required to sleep sitting upright for three days. The staff were also very unpleasant and even attempted to double-charge me when I was leaving, which really put a dampener on my experience (Hilton).

In the end, I only received 2,400 grafts, and I feel that what I paid was overpriced considering the level of service and organisation provided. I do hope my transplant continues to improve over time, and I will still send after photos to the clinic. However, please don’t be fooled by this clinic’s Instagram or Trustpilot reviews — I honestly believe you would receive far better care if you were an influencer.

If I could go back in time, I would not have selected this clinic, especially if you are from Ireland or the UK. I am a 25-year-old Irish man who worked hard to save $4,500 for this operation, placing a lot of trust in the clinic and travelling alone to a different country with high expectations. It’s difficult to write a review like this, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to receive the standard of care that I did. I hope the clinic sees this review and begins treating every patient to the same standard as those reflected in their Trustpilot reviews. Ultimately, this was a risk I knowingly took by travelling to Turkey.

I had my hair transplant at Dr Hakan Clinic in Istanbul last year and I’m extremely happy with the result. It’s a small boutique clinic with a maximum of two patients per day, which is very different from the big “hair mills” with aggressive marketing. Here the focus is clearly on personal care and achieving the best possible outcome – quality over quantity.

I actually found Dr Hakan Clinic after doing deeper research. Before that, I thought it didn’t matter much which clinic you choose because “they’re all good anyway”. Friends of mine who went to mass clinics and got poor results proved to me that this assumption was wrong. With my result, my expectations have been more than exceeded – I already noticed how good it would be just a few months after the operation. If you care about a very natural-looking hairline and technical excellence in hair transplantation, this clinic is the place to go!

I am Italian,and after a long research I chose this clinic attracted by the results and reviews of other patients.
All expectations were met! Doctor and all the staff are super professional.
During the transplant everything went very well; after the transplant all the staff always supported me and communicated the activities to do (for example how to wash my hair, when to cut it, etc.)
I had the transplant a year ago and the result is perfect!

I am a 40 years old Italian man. I have performed a mega session with over 6000 grafts in two days at the Hackan clinic on January 2024. I couldnt have chosen a better clinic.
My case was not an easy one as I was an advanced nordwood 5, almost 6.
After one year I can say I am very satisfied. They have been able to cover the whole area with natural and cautelative hairline in line with my age and with an overall good density. I was worried about my donor given the huge amount of grafts, I also experienced some shock lossbut it recovered perfectly and it doesn't look that so many grafts have been extracted . Actually it seems I have still have donor capacity for future needs.
All the procedure was painless apart form the anesthesia procedure which was a little painful but ok at the end. The team was great and koray and Dr Hackan were carefully following each phase of the surgery.
The clinic performs max two surgery a day and I went with a friend of mine who also performed a two days mega session . He is satisfied as well and we are suggesting this clinic to other friends.

I spent a long time researching various places in Istanbul to get a hair transplant. I then contacted about four or five different places in Istanbul via wattsapp.

Each company were very similar apart from the Dr Hakan Clinic. When I had contacted the other comanies they were very direct, wanted pictures of my head almost immediately and responded within 30 minutes to let me know how many grafts I needed, how much money it would cost etc. They then proceeded to ask me immediately when could I come over and get booked in.

First of all I was thinking surely a surgeon hasn't looked at photos of my head and made a detailed analysis in that time. And why are they so keen for me to book a flight straight away.

Speaking with Koray at the Dr Hakan Clinic I had the complete opposite experience. He was so helful in answering all questions I had to ask over a number of days. He never once asked any questions that were pressuring and only until I was finished asking all questions did we then proceed to send photos of my head.

After about 3 days or so Koray got back to me letting me know Dr Hakans analysis of what my procedure would entail. He let me know how many grafts, what the shape of my new hairline etc would look like. I then went back and forth with him asking alot more questions over the next few days. Again, not once was I ever pressured to book a flight or book the hair transplant. Once I was happy, I asked if I could pencil in a date for both me and my dad as we wanted to get one done on the same day.

Another big factor of me choosing Dr Hakan is that they only do two surgeries a day. Which I always thought you would get better care and actually get your hair transplant done by a medically trained surgeon. Which some of the other companies you see doing 50 to 100 procedures a day you won't recieve that bespoke care.

Me and my dad travelled from Manchester to Istanbul where we were greeted by a driver that the Dr Hakan Clinic had arranged for us. The driver then took us to our accomodation which was Marriot appartments, in the same building as the surgery.

The apartments were beautiful and had everything you need and highly recommend anyone booking them when given the two accomodation options.

Day 1 - Stem cell treatment for myself. I recieved excellent care from all the staff there. Especially after I feinted getting my bloods done haha! The whole treatment was great and nowhere near as painful as I thought it would be!

Day 2 - We were booked in for our surgery at 7:10am which was the same time as the stemcell treatment the day before. I was keen to learn from my mistakes the previous day and woke up alot earlier to get a good intake of food and water on board. We went to the surgery and met Dr hakan, Koray and the team at 7:10am. We firstly got our bloods taken from the nurse which was all routine and perfectly fine. We then got alot of pictures taken and then afterwards got our heads shaved. From there we sat in with Dr Hakan and Koray to which they designed our new hairlines to a really quality natural look. Once we were happy we then proceeded to the operating theatre. I firstly lay on my stomach where the numbing needles where applied to the back of my head. The numbing needles do hurt a bit but nothing you cant handle!! The extraction took 3 hours and the implanting around 4 to 5 hours! I was comfortable throughout the whole thing. The doctor contructed the hairline and his team followed on with the back filling. Koray and the doctor were constantly popping in and out to see if I was ok. The whole team was brilliant and I felt in great care the whole time.

Day 3 - We went back the next day for bandage removal. Again the care we recieved was second to none and I cant praise the doctor and his team enough from start to finish. We then got given all of our aftercare stuff we needed. They demonstrated everything we needed to do along with giving us tutorial videos.

It was a five star experience throughout the whole thing to which we felt very comfortable all the way! I would recommend Dr Hakan and his team to everyone. I thought about it for a long time and now that I have done it can only think why didn't I do it earlier with the experience I have had with Dr Hakan! Looking forward to the results!!!
