Very dissapointing

Very dissapointing. If you need good grades dont do it. Group assignments are a joke. You will have to do them yourself cos the rest of the students dont care. So you will end up wirking hard for others also. No responsibility. In other group one of the students just submit the assignment without a consent from others!!! College dont care. No rubics. Poor support, vague assignment descriptions, to the point that if you ask your teacher - whats the word count and he will advise you 1000 words, he can then fail you abd say 1000 its to much, to text heavy. Its that rediculous. If I had access to those opinions earlier- i wouldnt apply here. There are other very good private schools in this country like CCT with much better ethics.

The BS in DBS is for bullshit...as the already well known fact about this college. On an education level it is a scam, as the lecturers dont even talk sense intentionally. It is just a cheap immigration pathway for desperate people.

I have found this school/college rather disappointing

I have found this school/college lacking in many ways.
Firstly, the technique used by lectures,2, is poor, there’s very little information or material about the course given. For instance, There were assessments and reports as part of my continuous assessment and I am still waiting to get a rubric table with the requirements for the essays. When I had to contact either of my lectures, neither replied or if they did, it was in a patronising manner. The feedback given was so poor that I felt on many occasions I had done something very wrong but not sure what other than asking a question. The feedback on exam results and assessments was so long that I have nearly finished my course before I got any results back.
The results are only the percentage of the average for essays and exams and there’s no corrections or a way to improve on writing skills if needed.
Without going into a personal level, the teaching technique of at least one of my two lectures was so poor than I had to stop listening to them to avoid the risk of developing anxiety. Most of the time there was so much information spoken but so little insight into it. I have not enjoyed this course, I don’t think I can explain what. I have learned ando have passed every single module, and I can definitely say I will not be studying at DBS or recommending anyone else to do so. It was very disappointing and for someone who is busy with other aspects of life, waiting time in a useless course is not fair. I wish I had looked at these reviews before I embarked into this pointless course.

Avoid this college at all costs!

Worst college experience I’ve had. I’ve done previous courses in public universities in Dublin all of which were as you would expect. DBS was the biggest nightmare of a college year I have ever had. They overcharged me fees & refused to honour previous exemptions of 8.5 months back and forth until I had made various official complaints to higher ups. Worst part is they do not answer to anyone! Higher education authority can’t help as they are a private college & the CCPC won’t help with matters involved with over charging of fees/issues with the college. Only option is to go down the hiring a solicitors route.

On top of this, their administration staff are completely disorganised and haven’t a clue about anything when you call/email only giving out generic copy and paste answers. They have no respect for part time students. The lecturers were clearly not trained/didn’t have the supports on their end to properly teach part time classes. It’s an extremely disorganised institute and I regret wasting a year of my time and money on this. I left due to all the issues as I can only imagine how much worst it would have gotten.

Do not go to this college avoid at all costs! While it is hard to find part time course options in Dublin , I would atick with public universities all the way as they never have the issues DBS seem to have.

Worst college I have been to as I was…

Worst college I have been to as I was originally told my course would be accredited, but after 3 years of study was told it wasn't going to be . No responsibility taken by the people who designed the course. Lecturers were very poorly run and for the fees that were paid was a joke.. my advice to anyone who even thinks about going there is to run as far away as possible as the entire organisation is a joke ..

Too much to complain about in one small box. Most lecturers are good but the whole organisation of the college is the worst ive ever seen. Ironic that its a ‘Business School’ and they practice nothing in the way of positive consumer experience. Needs an admin overhaul to start with.

The Hdip in psychotherapy is unethical

The Hdip in psychotherapy is unethical. It is rather a means to keep Lacian psychoanalysts in employment and provide income for their self described circular economy. There is very little psychotherapy taught. When challenged about the amount of Lacan on the course, the lecturer replied,’but that is the way we have always done it’. They actively discourage empathy and forming relationships with your clients.

The college is extremely disorganised and classes get changed last minute and with no communication.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Lecturers that I have are just amazing, we have only online classes at the moment but the delivery is still great, I had some issues with the moodle (their online service), so for that reason 4 stars
