Amazing Company- The Best Folks

First, these are some of the nicest and most honest folks you’d ever want working on your project.

Second, they really know what they’re doing!

Construction, remodeling and making repairs can be very stressful. Take my lead and let Matt and his crew get you happy and squared away.

Todd, thank you. This means a lot to our whole team. You put it perfectly, construction, remodeling, and repairs can be stressful, and taking that weight off our clients is exactly what we aim for on every project. Being called honest folks who know what they are doing is the reputation we work hardest to earn.
We appreciate you trusting us and taking the time to share this. Thank you for the kind recommendation, and we are here anytime you need us at (727) 999-1855.

Not worth the headache

The biggest red flag when working with a contractor is needing an attorney just to get answers.

I hired Construction Corps to rebuild my home after it flooded during Hurricane Helene. The home had already been gutted, cleaned, and professionally treated immediately after the flooding, so the primary scope of work was rebuilding the home and replacing the plumbing.

The owner continues to claim my project stopped because I lacked funds. My experience was different. The project stopped after I refused to pay additional charges for plumbing work that I had fully disclosed before signing the contract, including photos, videos, and a plumbing inspection showing full pipe replacement was needed. I was told this work was included in the original quote.

The owner has been extremely challenging to work with throughout this process. In my experience, customer service and addressing legitimate concerns appear to be at the bottom of his priority list. Rather than working toward solutions, simple requests for documentation and clarification have turned into months of frustration.

More than six months after my attorney requested documentation, I still have not received a clear accounting of completed work, supporting cost documentation, or a return of funds. Based on the work I can verify was not completed, I believe more than $20,000 remains unaccounted for. I have repeatedly been told that because the project was bid as a whole rather than by line item, there is no need to explain specific charges or provide proof of completed work.

Meanwhile, my home remains unfinished with a large hole in the structure and no completed plumbing work visible. Transparency, accountability, and communication matter. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Elite Quality, Clear Communication, and Veteran Owned!

We first experienced Construction Corps' amazing work through an ADU they built for my brother in law. The build quality is top tier. We stay there every holiday season while visiting family, and it is a fantastic, highly functional space where I can even comfortably get work done.

Their craftsmanship and professionalism completely won us over. We are now officially in the design phase with them for a new build on a property we bought in Tampa last year.

Their communication is outstanding, and they consistently provide timely updates that keep the entire process stress free. Knowing they are a veteran owned company makes supporting them even better. We highly recommend Construction Corps to anyone looking for a seamless building experience!

Restoring 1938 Beach Cottage After Hurricanes Helena & Milton

After Hurricanes Helena and Milton, I thought I might have lost the 1938 Beach Cottage I had owned and loved since 1982. She was so badly damaged with water 3+ feet high inside the house, rapdily growing mold and endless red tape/bureaucracy to overcome with the City, County and FEMA (50% Rule)!

Matt Thompson/Construction Corps reached out after seeing my post on Facebook. Construction Corps did the mold remediation and then began the process of restoring the Beach Cottage after waiting 322 days to get permits! Winter assisted with Permits, Jonathan developed the Proposal, Jedi oversaw the Project and so many others assisted in the restoration. All the Construction Corps employees and subcontractors were polite and professional throughout the process.

While FEMA 50% Rule restricted us in some ways, Construction Corps (employees and subcontractors) restored much of the look, character and feel of the original 1938 Beach Cottage. (Shiplap Walls, 1910 Cast Iron Tub, Archway) The quality of work and attention to detail was excellent!

Thank You to Construction Corps, ALL their employees and subcontractors for helping me save my sweet little 1938 Beach Cottage!

Marsha,

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Your 1938 beach cottage is exactly the kind of project that defines why we do what we do at Construction Corps.

Hurricane damage, mold remediation, FEMA 50 percent rule restrictions, and a 322 day permitting process is about as complex as residential reconstruction gets here in Florida. You stayed committed through every phase, and that made it possible for our team to execute the restoration the right way.

I want to recognize the people you mentioned. Winter working through permits, Jonathan developing a clear and structured proposal, Jedi managing the project in the field, along with our full team and subcontractors. These projects only succeed when everyone is aligned and focused on quality.

What matters most to us is that we did not just rebuild a structure. We preserved the character of your historic beach cottage. The shiplap walls, cast iron tub, and archway details are what make that home unique, and protecting those elements is a big part of what sets a true design build contractor apart.

We appreciate the trust you placed in Construction Corps for mold remediation, permitting, and full home restoration after hurricane damage. Projects like yours are exactly why homeowners across Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area look for an experienced, licensed general contractor who understands both construction and compliance.

Thank you again for trusting our team.

These guys stand out!

I have had some very poor service from builders since relocating to Florida but I went with Construction Corp primarily due to the military conection. It turned out to be a very good call! They kept in regular touch during the permit application and once they had the green light from the City, they began diging foundations within two weeks! We love our new ADU and are very grateful to Construction Corp for their care and communication throughout the process. We felt they had our backs throughout and would recomment them to anyone, and particularly to those who have had a bad construction experience here in Florida. These guys are truly superb at what they do and take very thorough care of their clients. A combination we have found to be rare in this part of the world.

The permitting phase can often be the most uncertain part for homeowners, so we make it a priority to keep clients informed and moving forward.

We are glad to hear that the transition from permit approval to starting foundation work moved quickly and that you are happy with your new ADU. That type of coordination is exactly what we aim for on every project.

We hired this team for a full…

We hired this team for a full renovation of our home, which included adding a large primary bedroom and a new master bathroom. It was a significant project, and from start to finish the experience was very positive.

The design and engineering phase was handled thoughtfully. They took the time to walk us through the plans and helped us think through layout decisions before construction began. Communication throughout the project was consistent, and we always felt informed about progress and next steps.

The quality of the work is excellent. The new bedroom addition blends beautifully with the original house, and the master bathroom turned out even better than we expected. The finishes, tile work, and overall attention to detail really stand out.

Another thing we appreciated was the professionalism of the entire crew. Everyone who worked on our home was courteous and respectful, which made living through the renovation much easier. The job site was also kept impressively clean and organized for a project of this size.

Overall, we are extremely happy with the renovation and the final result. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a major remodel or home addition.

Construction Corps is one of the…

Construction Corps is one of the leading design build contractors in Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area. They managed our project from architectural planning and engineering through permitting and full construction.

Our renovation involved complex structural work including modifications to load bearing walls and detailed coordination to meet Florida Building Code requirements. Their team stayed organized, communicated clearly throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they committed to.

If you are considering a custom home, ADU, home addition, or a structural renovation, Construction Corps is a strong choice. We were so pleased with the experience that we have already started planning a second project with them for an ADU, and the permit ready plan set process is now underway.

Highly recommended.
