Clew Independence 1.0 bindings have an engineering issue that can make the bindings to not work anymore. This can happen to everybody on every moment. Until this issue is solved, I would suggest not buying it!

Genuinely, the CLEW Team deserves all 5-stars! I am a Ski Patroller on the East Coast and when I reached out to CLEW they were not only timely with responses, but they explained things well and they were more than willing to help. They provided me with a discount for riders like me who are out there using gear to the extent of its use so that we can keep other skiers and riders safe. When I had an issue with a part of the binding, they were quick to respond and rectify the issue.
Aside from stellar customer service, the product itself is top tier. Surrounded by bias, and me myself being biased, I was nervous about choosing CLEW when so many patrollers I know ride Burton Step-Ins. No shade here to Burton or other companies in this fast growing field of development… but they just aren’t CLEW! Countless times this season I have been faster to securely clip into my bindings. Whether it’s ice, slush, powder, or a combination of conditions CLEW has made it easy. I don’t have to worry about wiping snow off the binding, or if I’m securely clipped in. These bindings take away any worry which helps me focus on what matters most during my shifts.

Clew customer service was amazing. I received a response the following day after one of my bases for my bindings broke. Before I even woke up, they had responded and sent a replacement free of charge. Exactly what you would expect for a premium binding that was still in its first couple of years of use.

Customer service was amazing! My package came quick and when I needed help with an issue the company was very understanding and helpful throughout the whole process! A great company.

Customer service is absolutely incredible!!! I bought a pair of they goggles and the lenses ended up getting messed up…. I emailed customer service to see if I could get the link to buy new lenses. And they just sent me a brand new pair!! Thanks again to Lisa she was awsome. Thanks to the clew team I can snowboard again! 🫶

Customer service is always top tier like Burton and volcom… the bindings are in its own league the option to use different boots is a game changer not to mention they also look amazing

Obwohl die Clew-Bindung in puncto Komfort gut ist, finde ich die Garantie von zwei Jahren sehr eingeschränkt. Ich wohne in den Niederlanden und snowboarde nur einige Wochen pro Jahr. Innerhalb von drei Jahren nach dem Kauf sind beide Toe-Straps kaputtgegangen. Dafür werde ich auf die Ersatzteile auf der Website verwiesen.

Although the Clew binding is comfortable, I find the two-year warranty very limited. I live in the Netherlands and only snowboard a few weeks per year. Within three years of purchase, both toe straps broke. For this, I was referred to the spare parts section on the website.

The overall quality of the Clew binding is therefore quite disappointing.

Thankfully I took German for 3 years in Highschool! My favorite binding company and overall my favorite step ons! The Clew bindings are amazing I have had mine for 3 or so years. Not only is there amazing customer service that has helped me TWICE now, they are the best step on in my opinion. As someone who spent 7-8 years on normal bindings the Clew Bindings are a game changer! The fact they have a heel and toe strap is honestly my favorite part, because you don’t have to get over the mental block that comes with step ons with no strap and I feel more secure. They are solid on the base and I’ve even seen people throwing triple corks in them even though I’ve given up on park riding I know the Clew’s are great for every aspect of riding!

I love these bindings! I have used them for over 2 years now. I have ridden on ice and in powder with no problems at all. The customer service is also great.

Really happy with my experience with Clew. I ordered the product and it came in within 3 days. When I opened my box I did not have the hardware needed to install the bindings. This could have been a shipping issue, but I could have thrown them out with the box. I contacted customer service , from the United States, and got a response less than 10
Hours later. I was communicating with Jette (sick name) and was just so grateful for how quickly they got back to me, and how willing they were to resolve my problem. I have a ski trip that is less than a week away, and they were willing to express ship the hardware. Amazing service. At the end of the day everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how you correct them, and I’m really grateful for clew working with me on this.

I did a lot of research before deciding to order CLEW Bindings and also a CLEW snow board. First off the Binding worked amazing, for anyone who complains about potential snow pack, be realistic there is no mechanical Bindings that can possibly work flawless 100% of the time. I have had no issues with the bindings working 100% of the time in the conditionsI ride, because if I see a little snow packed I clean it out or stomp with my foot in the bindings to ensure it locks. again it's a mechanical lock so be realistic especially you're in deep powder, enough said. Now the CLEW board. I am an intermediate snowboarder, I've used a great number high dollar snowboards, and not a single one as preformed as good as their board. when I took a speed run down a slope, I hit 40 miles per hour, and I'm telling you that even for someone at my level, not one did I feel like I had to worry about loosing control. The CLEW board simply out performs any board I've used in it's class, and even many outside of its class. lastly CLEW customer service is hands down the best I've experienced. 2 days after getting my board and bindings, someone at my local ski resort stole my board and with the lower half of the bindings. I contacted CLEW explaining what happened. Even though it was an issue that did not concern them, they cared about my situation, and took of me as a customer. Hands down 5/5

Clew helped me with a lost package and swapping the clew bindings out for the right size once they did arrive. Customer service is top tier and would recommend them to anyone out there!
