The garden chairs have arrived, been assembled and I can report that one chair has perfectly aligned mortise and tenon joints, has perfectly fitting bolts to tighten the joints whilst the other unfortunately has a issue where mortise opening is far to large for the tenon, coupled with the securing bolts failing to close the gap upon tightening. This has been reported twice to “customer services”, the silence has been very noticeable, not even an acknowledgment of receipt of my questions, nor a glimmer of hope that someone is actually in this department- maybe it is on holiday, who knows. The chair looks great, it is comfortable, it is very smart but the second chair has a doubt over it as to robustness and quality. I do wish their customer service was as quick to respond as their request for a Trustpilot review request which landed just a few minutes after delivery. I know that imperfections are a fact of modern life, and I know some would think that 50% being correct is very good going, but to just be ignored makes the situation worse.

The chair was ordered on Sunday afternoon arrived first thing Tuesday morning. The delivery driver was courteous and helpful. The chair was very well packaged and everything that should’ve been was included. Assembly was very quick and straightforward and I will soon relaxing in the comfort this chair provides. It is a very strong beautifully presented chair which I am sure will serve us for many years to come. Highly delighted with the service and the product.

Purchase of the log splitter couldn't be better and it works well. Excellent service throughout and,though the splitter is heavy, the carriers delivered it on time. This is a great company to deal with. Thanks!

Had some confusion over the size of the trampoline after ordering, had to cancel, then reorder. There wasn't a problem with any of this. All was acknowledged professionally and with no issues.
I eventually signed for the trampoline and was treated very respectfully the whole time. Thank you.

Delivered on time but left at bottom of the driveway

Disappointed with the delivery. Product clearly dropped by DX their so called expert delivery courier. £25 compensation provided. Gas bbq already put together before damage seen. Now got to live with it. Quality of product also questionable.

I love my new garden bistro set, although they were a bit awkward to put together. Could do with better delivery communication from Charles Bentley.

I ordered the item and was told I would receive it within 1-3 days on standard delivery.
The item arrived eleven days later. When I unpacked it there was rust on thee of the parts so I sent a e-mail asking for a discount and I’m still waiting to hear back from the company four days later.
I will not be purchasing anything from them again!!

I bought 4 plastic planters. The dimensions stated in the product details were misleading - they were the outer measurements but there was an inner rim. This made them no use for me as I wanted to put smaller pots inside. Upon requesting a return I was told the charge would be £15, which I asked if they would split with me given the misleading measurements on their website. This request was ignored and instead the £15 was deducted from my refund. If the planters had been of the correct measurements as stated I would have kept them.

We ordered a chair/table set and unfortunately there was very slight damage to one of the chairs. However, it was not bad enough for it needing to be returned. After contacting their Customer Services the issue was dealt very professionally and to our satisfaction. The quality of the product is excellent and represents great value for money.

Lovely bench, great value for money, easy to set up, very sturdy. The only thing I would say is that it's too upright so not the most comfortable but then we mainly bought it to 'decorate' an area. Delivery was speedy but sadly the box was damaged, fortunately the bench was okay. Would be great if they did a larger version of this.

Broom lasted less than 5 seconds before snapping, shoddy materials used, I bought British thinking it was good quality. Someone needs to start to look at the products they are selling, and stop buying on price alone

Easy to order and the communication was good. We had an issue with trying to get the delivery sorted. The delivery company kept changing their delivery commitment, so after 2 weeks of waiting we requested a refund. This was processed immediately. The delivery company is badly letting this companies orders down, they need to be changed immediately

Delayed delivery. Fair enough, these things happen.

Then a missing item.

Then a damaged table and chairs.

Finally, the last item arrives… smashed.

To top it all off, no replacement was available because it was out of stock, notified a day after being told that a new item was being dispatched.

One problem can happen. An entire order going wrong from start to finish is something else entirely. Very disappointing. First time customer and last time customer. Could not recommend to anyone.

Delivery didn't work when it did finally the parasol base was smashed with a lump broken off. At 37kg difficult to dispose of but was expected to despite me asking for it to be picked up. Had to phone them to say this isn't on, sent £15 but no discussion, these things are heavy and on top to dispose at a tip costs money let alone the inconvenience of lifting it into the car and dealing with it at the tip. Asked for a replacement as ordered it when in the middle of a heat wave. Another sent out but once again failed to deliver. I had to contact Charles Bentley as not delivered. There was no concern to chase the failed delivery just informed I could have a replacement or refund. Now some time down the road of the heatwave and no parasol. Asked for a refund but no reply so had to ring them again before it was actioned.
Dreadful service, there's no excuses.
