Our stay at Casa Overlook was the experience of a lifetime! The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. The bedrooms and bathrooms very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Common living spaces, indoor and out, fit all 9 of us easily. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking implements, and has a great bar to sit at. The dining area is stunning and flows easily with the beautiful living room.There seemed to be no need not met! Thank you to the owner, cleaning staff, and property manager as any questions were answered promptly and/or with personal attention. The very informative guidebook, left by the owners, helped us get to know the grounds and the nearby attractions. Last, but not least, the pool, patio area, and outdoor grill capabilities are missed by all of us! We want to go back! Thank you for a great first visit to Costa Rica!

I would do more than 5 stars if I could! Casa Overlook is gorgeous inside and out. All the rooms were well appointed, kitchen had everything we could need to cook and enjoy poolside drinks. Maintenance came to ensure a clean healthy pool and decks. Owner had amazing communication and recommendations for travel and activities. Although no activities would be needed as it was lovely just to hang out poolside or on the shaded deck and watch the birds and monkeys go by. Our group had an amazing time!!

My wife and I went with a group to Casa Overlook in January.
There were nine of us and all agreed this was the best accommodations and vacation we've ever had.
What a fabulous property!
To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
Fabulous property with a beautiful view of the Pacific and landscape.
The main house was very spacious with every amenity and very clean.
Each bedroom was unique with its own bathroom also.
The pool was unbelievable!
We enjoyed the monkeys visiting us everyday!
The owner had great communication with us also.
I highly recommend Casa Overlook as a destination stay for your Costa Rica vacation!

Amazing property! Went with a group in January to celebrate our friendship. There were 9 of us and everyone agreed it was the best vacation. The property had everything we needed to make it a special time. Everyone had their own space and the gathering areas were large and comfortable for all. Views were spectacular and we enjoyed all of the wildlife (monkeys, toucans, coatis, macaws, etc…). The finishes to the property helped to make it stand out in a luxurious way. Can’t wait to go back!

From the moment you enter - you know you have found a true gem!

From the outdoor patio, surround sound, lighting in such a warm, beautiful and tropical setting is amazing. The layout of the houses and rooms are conducive to privacy and yet the central meeting areas were great for time spent well spent with others! The rainforest wildlife right in your own back yard… SPECTACULAR‼️The foliage, the parrots 🦜 and monkeys 🙊… on my!

This is such a wonderful property to visit and stay with family, friends or a group. Fantastic owners to works with as well‼️

In addition… The town was fun, the restaurants were amazing and the adventure activities like ATVing in the mountains, sharing time with the locals, and seeing the waterfalls was a blast! Such a fun getaway!

Casa Overlook is a jewel. From its luxury accommodation to its down home feel, staying at Casa Overlook makes you feel right at home in this lush tropical forest. With amazing views and all the amenities you could want to delight the senses. You can just feel the stress of the mondern world melt away. Spending your time relaxing or figuring out where to eat next or just staying home and making a delicious meal was our biggest concern of the day. We just love Casa Overlook!

The house is beautiful and amazing! It had everything we needed to stay in and cook. We had chefs come and cook for us. We had masseuses that the owner recommended that came to the house three times! Yes they were that good! The concierge was very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. We stayed at the house more then we ventured out and we never do that! I would come back and stay again!!

Family Vacation

Our family of 10 recently stayed at Casa Overlook in Playa Hermosa Costa Rica. To say that we were impressed by the accommodations is an immense understatement. From the minute that you approach the wrought iron entryway looking at the infinity pool, you realize that you are staying somewhere special. As informative as the pictures and video of the property are, the house is even more spectacular in person. The master suite located above the kitchen is privately tucked away and is reminiscent of upscale boutique hotels. The kitchen is fully stocked and provides an excellent place to entertain if cooking or bringing in an outside chef. (Highly recommend this at least once during the stay. References available on the host website) There is a more formal dining area overlooking the balcony which provides and open view of Hermosa Beach and the beautiful sunsets.

The property contains 3 main buildings. The main house w/ the master, kitchen, dining room, and great room. The side house contains 4 bedrooms and 4 separate baths. Additionally there is a guest house that has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Ample room for privacy yet great areas for communing. Additionally, the pool area has a great bar area with a grill. Excellent for steak night (Jaco Fine Meats Y Mas) and for any fish caught if you go deep sea or inland fishing. The pool has spectacular views of the rainforest and the beach. Even though the house is on the mountainside you are still able to hear the waves crashing on the shore. Yet, the forest is where the entertainment truly lies. During our stay we were visited by monkeys, iguanas, coati's, macaws, and toucans. Just stunning and all while holding your favorite beverage or basking in the pool.

The host has done an excellent job with the links on their website to local attractions, travel, dining, chefs, etc. so I highly recommend utilizing the resources provided. Additionally, we were greeted by the property manager who is a very friendly and knowledgeable resource. The little details at the house were the icing on the cake. From the espresso maker to the luxury towels we have nothing but great praises for our stay and look forward to our next visit.

Excursions we took while staying there that we recommend were the Rainforest Adventure Zipline in Jaco, surf lessons in Jaco, and deep sea fishing. Favorite restaurant was the Point. Great cocktails, service and food. As the saying goes in Costa Rica "Pura Vida"

I would highly recommend Cassa overlook for your next luxury family getaway! The location is private and peaceful, overlooking Jaco beach. The rainforest is in your backyard, with iguanas and monkeys as your neighbors. If you want to place to relax, this is it with beautiful sunsets and the the infinity pool. But also, there are lots of activities for the kids, so leave time to plan some day trips. The house is amazing with the charm of Costa Rica. A you definitely will enjoy your stay, but leaving will be the hardest thing you’ll do it.

I had a blast at Casa Overlook!!! I can’t wait to go back. The villa was wonderful for our family of 12.
Plenty of room for all of us and lots of monkeys and amazing birds. The common areas, including the kitchen was all well equipped and exceeded our needs. We felt safe in the gated community and nothing beats having coffee outside and listening to the ocean waves and seeing the monkeys!

This house is amazing!!! The beautiful rain forest all around with beautiful views of trees ocean—toucans, monkeys, macaws, etc everywhere—it was amazing!!! The house is gorgeous and kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved this place and would love to stay here again!!

Amazing views!! All types of wildlife at all different hours. So relaxing and peaceful. The views are breathtaking!!

Stayed at Casa Overlook in July and had an amazing experience at this unbelievable property. Well maintained with a multiple updates and exceptionally clean. Abundant wildlife to watch while you have breakfast on the patio. Plenty of convenient excursions to pick from depending on what you feel like doing. Fishing, four wheeling, parasailing, or just relaxing at the beach. You name it.

Amazing and enjoyable. The house offered all the amenities I was expecting and the view of the ocean was beautiful. Casa Overlook was accessible to restaurants, leisure activities and the wildlife was incredible. Wonderful weather, beautiful scenery and a staff that was very accommodating.

I stayed at Casa Overlook over the Fourth of July weekend and I absolutely loved it! From the way it’s beautifully nestled in the jungle with a gorgeous ocean view, to the daily maid service and attentive staff, to the amazing array of excursions and activities available to me, I loved every second! I can’t wait to come back with my friends!!

Beautiful, well maintained property with incredible view of the ocean! We have stayed a few time in the past two years. Clean and newly renovated with modern amenities. Located in a safe, gated community just a short drive to Jaco with great restaurants and shopping. Host is very responsive and friendly - easy to work with. Amazing experience!

What a great villa to spend a fun-filled week in Costa Rica at! Great ocean views and very comfortable accommodations for our extended family gathering. The owners have done a great job decorating with local art and Costa Rican flair. There was plenty of space and the pool was great during the day and into the evening. Easy to get rides into town to the local bars and restaurants, but the home was really equipped to do all of our own cooking on site if we chose to. There were plenty of activities available nearby, whether it was hiking, ATV rentals or fishing. To top it all off, we were visited frequently by a troupe of monkeys that kept us entertained with their antics in the nearby trees. Can’t wait to get back!
