Canva - from innovative to defunct

I use to love using Canva three years ago for education in Australia. It was fun, easy to be creative and easy to access for both my students and myself.
For the past year AI partnerships have seen clunky, tacky, less Australian content, poor tools and my lessons constantly becoming Spanish, American and inaccessible.
I remained with Canva out of loyalty but their poor behaviour towards employees, Australia and their outdated unusable education tools have made me reconsider after 6 years a subscription. It is a o sad that an innovative platform has sold out and gone down hill.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish. Useless tool, charge loads of money. Won't issue refunds even if you don't use the app at all. Basically a scam company at this point with where the world is today

Personal experience with CANVA customer service

I would also like to share some positive feedback about Canva based on my overall experience.

First of all, I absolutely love your homepage and the entire Canva experience! The website is visually appealing, modern, intuitive and incredibly easy to navigate. It makes finding inspiration, exploring ideas and turning them into creative designs so enjoyable. What I particularly appreciate is that Canva makes professional-looking design accessible to everyone. You don't have to be a graphic designer to create something beautiful. The variety of templates, tools and creative possibilities is simply amazing!

But I would also like to highlight my personal experience with your customer service. Although I was disappointed that my printed brochures were not properly folded, I was genuinely impressed by the way my complaint was handled. Lee responded in a friendly, understanding and professional manner and offered a full refund without any unnecessary complications.

This kind of customer service really makes a difference. Mistakes can happen, but the way a company deals with them says a lot about its values and its appreciation of its customers.

So, despite the initial disappointment with my order, my experience with Canva has actually become even more positive thanks to the excellent support I received.

Keep up the fantastic work! It's a pleasure to use Canva, and it's equally wonderful to feel valued as a customer.

Rubbish

Title: My personal information was exposed in Canva’s massive data breach

I’ve recently discovered through Have I Been Pwned that my personal information was included in Canva’s 2019 data breach, which affected approximately 137 million accounts.

The exposed information included names, email addresses, usernames, locations and encrypted passwords.

What concerns me even more is that Canva subsequently confirmed that approximately 4 million passwords from the breach had been decrypted and circulated online.

I’m extremely unhappy that information I entrusted to a company ended up exposed in such a significant security incident.

I’ve now had to investigate which of my accounts and passwords may have been compromised, and I’m taking steps to have my personal information removed from companies involved in data breaches.

I no longer have confidence in Canva’s handling of my personal information and will be requesting permanent deletion of my account and associated data.

Companies collecting people’s personal information have a responsibility to protect it. Discovering years later that my details were involved in a breach of this scale is extremely concerning.

I'm a student

I'm a student, and I cannot access many things even though I need to make various posters for my English projects for Mr. Sweeney's class. I'm 11 years old and most things in Canva has the crown so I cannot access it. I don't have the money to subscribe, and even if I did, I wouldn't because I only use it for my English Projects.
