High praise goes to Gaynor at the Lancaster branch. Lovely personality and sorted out my needs for some new glasses expertly.
The helpfulness of STAFF
I recently broke the arm of my glasses on the evening of 19/7/26.
The next morning I visited Boots Opticians in Hailsham.
I explained the situation to Adrianne the member of staff. She was able to locate a similar pair and said She would be able to change the lenses into the new pair, whilst I waited.
Unfortunately the card payment system wasn't working in the store so I needed to get cash to pay.
So whilst I went on a hunt for a working cashpoint machine, Adrianne changed my lenses over.
When I returned to the store, Adrianne had completed the swap and I was able to pay.
The customer service in this Boots Opticians is absolutely brilliant. I have to wear my glasses for driving, so I would have been stuck if Adrianne had not helped me in such an efficient manner.
Thank you
Worst experience at an opticians ever.
Once examination was over was forced to buy glasses even after I keep telling them I don't have a lot of money. ( I'm Disabled and only have a bit of Pip) I felt very venerable and pressured into purchasing. I hade to use money put by for dental treatment on the 2nd of next month. The refused to give me the glasses prescription until I had paid. Will never use this opticians again.
Northwich Cheshire branch.
Annabelle was utterly FANTASTIC! I experienced a blip that was in no way Boots' fault, Annabelle rectified that experience with total brilliance, she was so professional in her approach and with an efficiency that's hard to match!
Manushi at the Sutton branch opticians helped me yesterday with my glasses. She was such a lovely lady, she went through everything thoroughly with me and made me feel really comfortable.
I will definitely go back to boots from now on to see Manushi.
Did not receive a reminder prompt to make an appointment. Received a text message with bad spelling and grammar saying it was a £10 eye test, so called Boots to check. Turned out I was overdue as not had reminder - and they were unable to advise about the text. On the day, the lady who did the pre eye-test and the optician were both very good - professional, yet with a personal touch and a sense of humour. The lady who assisted with purchasing/selecting glasses needs a lesson in customer service. I had only just started browsing and I really felt rushed into making a decision, so ended up choosing the same frames as I already had. She took and processed my payment before asking if I had a Boots card. My student card is linked to my Boots card, and I understand there should have been a student discount. There was not. And I was only provided with the credit card receipt, not the till receipt which would have shown this. And, I was not provided with a copy of my prescription. I had considered going back to purchase sunglasses, but I will not be getting any more. I will be submitting a complaint as really not happy.
Service was fine. I was charged £339 for new lenses. I had only been home a short time when Boots rang to say an error had been made and I owed another £90. If this new total had been mentioned when I was in the store I might have made other choices.
Very helpful and nice to know how they are so diligent in checking your eyes.
As well as explaining what to look out for if things are going wrong
Everyone is lovely.
The online booking system is a bit confusing and despite me asking to go to one opticians it booked me into the town further away( which I had to change)... That could be clearer.
Can't really fault the service.. Although the young girl doing the puff tests etc maybe needs to be a be more chatty and explain what is happening..( I do know as I go regularly but others might not).
Spot on with everything else.
Thank you
Hazel
Lovely staff and very informative optician
Visited Boots Opticians in Wigmore Street to collect my new glasses. Served by Irute who was very helpful and made sure I was happy with the fit before cleaning them ready for me to take home. All staff in the store were polite and professional. Thank you.
Had an appointment in Boots, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow and as usual everything went without a hitch due to the professionalism of the staff, Francesca, Uzma and Tariq. All the staff in this Opticians are excellent, they treat you as if you've been a friend for ages and enjoy a good bit of patter. It was a good start to my day.
Service was professional and thorough. Sorted me out with new glasses, very pleased.
My assistant, made selecting new glasses a pleasure. She was very knowledgeable and patient ensuring that my glasses fit well. She also allowed me to take advantage of the current offers on the Boots eyeware products available in Carlisle.
Tahera is an excellent Optician and I ask to see her whenever I have an eye test at Boots. She is thorough and explains everything in an easy to understand manner and is always happy to recommend options available. The staff are always polite and efficient. Many thanks to you all.
12 months ago, during my annual eyetest at Boots, I was diagnosed with excessive pressure in my eyes. I was immediately referred to our local eye clinic and within a few weeks I had laser surgery in both eyes. Last week I attended Boots again for this year's eyetest and my pressures had returned to near normal. So well done to Boots for diagnosing this condition which as a diabetic could have been quite dangerous.
I haven't had new prescription glasses for a few years, relying on off the shelf readers for about £2! On being given my new prescription by Thaimah, she explained that there was an offer on for one pair plus a second pair at half price. So I selected a very nice pair of readers for £50 plus a second pair for distance at just £25! I think £75 for two pairs is exceptional value and I will be going back to order two spare pairs while the offer is on. Thank you to Saamiya and Thaimah for their excellent service.
The gentleman Mr Aquil is the manager of the store, very friendly and helpful.

Went for renewal for prescription today at boots in broughton first class service very professional as I always have but I would like to give a shout out to a young guy named ALEX what a most helpful guy who helped me with my choices for new eyeglasses explained why I should have the thinner lens set out a price I could afford! As I’m in my seventies from patient in fact I will go as far as saying one of the best experiences I’ve had at a opticians super friendly! I left feeling very satisfied I NEVER had that pushy salesman talk! Definitely a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!!!

One of the arms fell off my varifocal glasses. I went into Boots Opticians in Victoria Centre, Nottingham, where I was told they were not repairable. They weren’t very old and were expensive so this was a blow.
I decided to go to my usual Boots Opticians on Castle Boulevard and show them the glasses. A lovely lady called Lottie told me they have a box of parts of old glasses and she was able to find an exact arm to match my glasses, and she took the time to mend them for me. So kind. Full marks to Lottie!!
