Regarding the catch bag, we understand that replacing and emptying it can feel a little awkward at first. To prevent captured mosquitoes from escaping, we recommend following the maintenance instructions described in the manual. Once removed, the used catch bag should be left in the sun for several hours while mosquitoes are still inside. This allows any remaining mosquitoes to dehydrate, making it much easier to empty the bag without releasing live insects.
For this reason, an additional catch bag is included with the trap, allowing you to continue using the system while the other bag is drying in the sun.
Since mosquito activity can vary significantly throughout the season, the number of captured mosquitoes is not always the best indicator of performance. To maximize effectiveness, we recommend checking the trap placement regularly, as even a few meters can make a significant difference. You can find additional placement tips here:

We also recommend regularly checking your surroundings for potential mosquito breeding sites. Even small amounts of standing water can serve as breeding grounds for new generations of mosquitoes. If water sources cannot be removed, additional larval control measures can help reduce mosquito pressure before adult mosquitoes even emerge.

We are delighted to hear that the device is working well for you and that you have already noticed a significant improvement in mosquito control.
Regarding the fan noise, it is worth noting that the fan requires a certain level of suction power to reliably capture mosquitoes once they approach the trap. At the same time, we generally recommend placing the trap at least 5 meters away from patios, seating areas, or other places where people spend time. If the fan noise is perceived as disturbing, this may indicate that the trap is positioned closer to the living area than recommended. Regarding the CO2 consumption, we would be interested to know which CO2 setup you are currently using. If you are using our new CO2 CONTROL SET, the CO2 release schedule can be adjusted via the app, meaning the system does not need to release CO2 continuously throughout the day.
If your CO2 consumption seems significantly higher than expected, we would recommend contacting our support team at webshop@biogents.com. In some cases, an incorrect configuration or even a technical issue could lead to higher-than-normal CO2 consumption.

Reducing mosquito pressure from “not being able to go outside” to just seeing one or two is exactly the kind of impact we aim for, so your feedback means a lot to us 😊
We completely understand your point about the price. While the trap may appear simple at first glance, a lot of research and scientific development has gone into replicating human scent cues and optimizing airflow and capture efficiency. This is what allows the system to perform reliably even in high-pressure mosquito environments like yours.
That said, we know that long-term use is important, and we try to offer ways to make it more affordable over time – for example through bundle offers, subscriptions, or our loyalty program, where customers can collect points and redeem them for discounts.
