Nearly-Expired Mounjaro Pen Sold Unsealed and at double recommended sale Price
Update: now i received an email from Trustpilot saying that Apomeds is asking for more details otherwise they will not recognize my review as genuine. Why are they harassing me after so many months? The reference number of my complaint, that they provided to me is reference # 138918.
I sent the pen to Lilly labs for investigation and I have no idea what happened after that.
Because of this experience i never will use online pharmacies ever again. I lost my trust.

I purchased a Mounjaro® injection pen from Apomeds in August 2025 for €744. The product arrived without the original factory-sealed Lilly packaging, wrapped loosely in bubble wrap inside a plain box, with no leaflet or seal of authenticity. The pen’s expiry date was September 2025, and I received it on August 18 2025, not giving me enough shelf life to use it safely, as I had just started a lower-dose pen and could not switch immediately.
After raising concerns with Eli Lilly, the manufacturer, their drug safety department contacted me and confirmed that injectable pens should never be sold outside their original sealed packaging, and opened an investigation into this sale. They asked me to send them the pen for lab analysis.
Apomeds later admitted they had opened a 3-pen box that was near expiry and sold the pens separately. This is very concerning because a 3-pen package close to expiry cannot legally be sold as a set anymore; no single patient could use three pens before expiration. Instead of discounting or withdrawing the stock, they split the package and sold the pens individually at full price, without disclosure of the expiry date, shifting the problem to unsuspecting customers like me.
This practice removes the normal safety assurance of sealed manufacturer packaging and undermines patient trust. Apomeds has refused a refund or return, so I am left with a nearly-expired pen that I cannot use. This entire experience has caused unnecessary stress, and I would strongly advise against purchasing medication from this company.

I want to clarify that Apomeds dispenses only licensed, original medicines. Pens are never manipulated, refilled, or reused. We do not alter the medicinal product; the item supplied remains in its original, tamper-evident form, and we always ship within the stated expiry period.
Regarding returns: prescription and temperature-sensitive medicines cannot be taken back or resold once dispatched, for safety and hygiene reasons; consequently, refunds are not possible after shipment.
