We apologize for the surprise regarding the customs charges.
"As of August 29, 2025, the exemption from duties and taxes for shipments to the United States valued at under $800 has been suspended. Consequently, a 15% customs fee is automatically applied, in addition to a $20 carrier customs clearance fee."
This information is outlined in our Terms and Conditions of Sale, and a message in red usually appears in the shopping cart during checkout to indicate that fees may apply depending on the destination country.
We understand that this situation was frustrating and regret the inconvenience caused upon delivery of the package.

If you live in the US, be aware that there are heavy custom fees, and I wished that Alpinstore had informed me.
For a pair of Kayland boots, that I had paid $163, I had to pay $ 65.50 of customs fee (including $ 17 for UPS brokerage).
