Easy instructions and good communication

From the beginning of the order process the staff has been very helpful. Even after we made changes to the original plans they were very helpful and kind.

Placed my order June 18th. It is now September 3rd. Was supposed to be here in 4 to 6 weeks. Now 11 weeks. Placed a call to check on the order. Now possibly end of September. So no. That's a 13 week turnaround. Recommend. That's a negative. The price seems cheap. But getting the product. I could have done better. BBB is next.

Everyone I had contact with was very helpful. Everything was explained really well, and scheduled pretty quickly.

My husband and I placed our order in March for a carport. They told us it would be 6 to 12 weeks. We were very excited to get it around the middle of summer. Its September 1st and we still have no carport. My husband finally had to call today and cancel it because there was so much back and forth with them saying it was coming and they would never show up. Wouldn't recommend.

All the changes I kept making, they handled with ease. They were very professional.

Good afternoon, This is my experience. I ordered and bought a garage. Overall, it is a good garage. I have three complaints. One, a spring on the window release to open and close the window broke within months of being used. Two, I ordered a door with a window and received a solid door. I mentioned it to the installers and nothing. I bought one form Home Depot and installed it myself. ($140) Three is the biggest complaint. When the garage was installed, it was attached directly to the concrete pad. Guess what? It LEAKED all around the base of a 25x36 foot garage. Asked the company first and was told to contact the installer. I did. I was told to caulk it. I did. It still leaked. and the caulk ended up very sloppy looking. I removed the caulk and installed window or door flashing around the entire base with butyl tape and caulk as a backer. Fastened the flashing with self tapping metal screws and concrete screws for the pad. It cost $575 to correct a serious lapse in the installation/design/product. I am sure that every garage that is sold LEAKS. The installer should caulk or put butyl tape on the underside of the bottom rail BEFORE the rail is screwed down tight through the use of the concrete parawedge anchors. THEN, it should be caulked around the outside edge to insure its integrity. This is a legitimate complaint and an issue that should be addressed by the company when a garage is installed. I had spent hours, effort and money to correct a problem that could be solved quickly by the installers especially when I paid $14k for a garage. This will be posted on the reviews too. Thank you.

It was very easy to design your building the way you would like it with your online program and the communication with the staff has been a great experience so far.

The most impressive thing about Alan's Factory Outlet are the people who work there! I called multiple times and spoke with multiple people to discuss various things to do with creating the garage I needed. All of them were very helpful, very patient and very pleasant when speaking with me. I want to acknowledge one person in particular... The last woman I spoke with, Lacy... she was wonderful!

The ordering process is quite extensive. I talked with a lady on the phone about my tax exemption. Sent a copy, then made my order. The Docusign documents sent to me still included tax. It took 2 more emails to correct this. Also, I inquired about a military discount to which I was told was not offered. Sad. IMO, the ordering process should be simplified, and every company in America should offer a veteran/military discount.

Professionalism via communications have been superb. Questions have been answered efficiently, designing tools via the website, and the order process have gone smoothly to date. Everything has been clear and concise, I’ve had no issues.

I placed my order the end of July. I called to get an update on my approximate delivery date/range. They were so rude and disrespectful. Not friendly at all. I called Alans Factory Outlet and the delivery contractor CAROLINA CARPORTS, INC for update information because it’s been a month and have not heard from anyone. No information could be provided. The only response is we’re booked up right now, we will call you three weeks in advance. This is the information you inform your customers about when confirming the order, not afterwards. I will never order from this company again. The online order process is great but the customer and staff is horrible once you pay that deposit and request updates. Will come back with updates throughout the process and photos once installation is complete.

My order was confirmed and signed on July 30! You may have reviewed the call with Alan’s but I can assure you, if you reviewed the call with your contractor, she was not polite at all!! I just know from my experience, I will never do business again or recommend anyone else of doing so. I recommend that they read the reviews of the contractor that you all have before purchasing because they 95% of the reviews are negative with 1 and 2 stars.

The pricing of the structure is well within affordable standards. The website allows you to design exactly what you want with the size, colors and access points..ie, doors / windows. I look forward to getting the structure assembled on my property.

The ordering process was so simple and easy to use, navigating through the website so so easy. The prices are so reasonable.. I would definitely 100% recommend this company for any of their carport needs.
