I'm also under the impression that you are located in Australia. We are only operational in Sweden, the service is only in Swedish, and you can't become a client if you have an Australian citizenship.

Best customer support! They offer to invest in environmental friendly funds which is really important to me and also challenge to save instead of spend on Black Fridays and also when there’s tax return time. Love them!!!! :D

Even if you are a Swedish citizen, you are not allowed to open an account if you are holding additional citizenship of any another country that is not a part of the EU.
Most other investment companies provide equal opportunities for all Swedish citizens, but not this one. This company also conveniently skips mentioning this fact in all their marketing and communication and advertisements. When inquired, it was mentioned that it was due to legal and cost reasons. They also have not made any progress for more than a year since the initial inquiry relating to this concern.
Additionally, for an investor - an investing firm that only focuses on cutting costs and not having a worldwide legal coverage could only mean a higher risk.

I'm really sorry that you feel this way! Due to regulations it is harder for us to take on some customers. This include politicians, people in the military, certain people with hidden identity and more – it has nothing to do with citizenships specifically.
These people can be customers at a big bank. But as a small team we simply don't have the same resources as a major bank to manage this, it has nothing to do with discrimination. In contrast to the banks we also try to keep our costs low – so we can offer a cheap solution for the customers that we can serve.
To help anyone reading this: Currently Opti can serve any European citizen (EES) that pay taxes in Sweden.
