Sent in my 13wk ultrasound for nub theory gender prediction, their prediction was confirmed correct !

The nubologists predicted our baby’s gender to be a girl, with 85% confidence. The scan picture we sent was 12 weeks and 3 days. Today, at my 15 week gender scan, a baby girl was confirmed. Thank you so much!

**1 star — Disappointing experience and lack of customer support**

I would not recommend using this service at 12 weeks if you are looking for a reliable answer.

I submitted my ultrasound for a nub assessment at 12 weeks and received an 80% girl prediction. I understood from the beginning that nub theory is not a guarantee and that predictions can be wrong. However, when I submitted another ultrasound from 13 weeks (only one week later), I received the opposite prediction — boy.

My issue is not simply that the prediction changed. I understand that babies develop differently. My concern is that the service accepted an assessment at 12 weeks, despite later explaining that this is a stage where development can still change enough to completely reverse the prediction. I feel this limitation should be made much clearer before customers pay, especially when early predictions can vary so significantly.

After receiving two different answers, I was left feeling like I paid for a service but gained no real clarity. I was still left wondering the exact same thing I was before I submitted my images.

I also want to mention that I had a different experience with another nub reader. That reader acknowledged when they were uncertain and allowed me to resubmit images free of charge rather than requiring another payment. I appreciated that approach because it showed they were focused on customer confidence and making sure I received the best assessment possible. That level of customer service and willingness to acknowledge uncertainty made a big difference.

With The Nubologists, I was not asking for a guaranteed prediction or expecting perfection. I was simply hoping for some acknowledgment that receiving two opposite assessments within a week was a disappointing experience, along with some form of compensation or goodwill gesture.

Instead, I was left feeling like the focus was only on explaining why the prediction changed rather than addressing the fact that, as a paying customer, I did not feel I received the clarity I paid for.

I would strongly recommend not using them at all OR at least waiting 13+ weeks which is what they should have suggested from the beginning.

The nubologists responded quickly and did an accurate and detailed prediction of our babies sex based on the 14 week ultrasound. This sex was confirmed during our 16 week ultrasound.

I fast tracked my 12 week scan to the nubologists and within just a couple of hours I received my detailed nub report. The report showed an outline of babies body, nub and spine along with a detailed written analysis explaining how they came to their conclusion. I felt like they were very thorough and they gave us an 85% chance of our baby being a girl. We recently had a gender ultrasound confirming at 15 weeks that we are in fact having a baby girl. I would definitely recommend the nubologists if anyone is interested in early gender prediction.

Bought the 24 hour prediction and was delivered in time. They gave me a prediction of girl and they were spot on :) lovely easy process and correct x

I’ve used the nubologists twice and they were correct both times, it was fun to use their reports when guessing the sex with family/friends before our gender scans especially with our second who everyone including myself thought was another girl, but the nubologists were absolutely right and it is in fact a boy!

The service has been great and they came back to me quickly within the promised time.

I sent my scan photos in for a bit of fun and to get a more accurate guess than I had on the gender. They selected the scan photo which shows a structure that looks like a small penis. Our sonographer said at the scan that it’s actually a part of the foot, as our baby was in an awkward position. I emailed to say that I thought the area they selected as the nub was actually part of the foot, and no one responded to me. If the nub they identified was a penis, it’d be pretty big for 12+4! Fine for fun but even a stopped clock gets the right time twice a day etc . Probably save yourself £10.

Fantastic service. So easy to use and you get a detailed report back explaining what they can see. Report was back within 24 hours and they were 100% correct with the gender.
Totally recommend doing this, makes it a little bit more exciting in the early stages.

I received a detailed report based on my baby’s 12 week scan photos.
It was very detailed which was nice because as someone who doesn’t know what they’re looking at it was nice to be reassured that they know what they’re talking about. There was also a diagram labelling everything over the top of my scan photo to help explain their findings. I was given a 90% confidence rating which was nice to get excited about, however I was fully aware that things can change and to still be open minded. Thankfully The Nubologists were correct which was great and for the cost I really don’t think it was too much to pay to received a detailed report to add a little bit of fun and excitement to my pregnancy journey.

CORRECT & CONFIRMED :). I sent in my scan at 12+4, I received back a very detailed response an outline of baby, the Nuboligist gave an 80% confidence of the baby being a girl and this weekend I got the confirmation of having a baby girl!! Wow

Prediction correct!

Great and accurate service. I paid extra to get it quicker and after putting in my order later on in the day I woke up the very next day to my gender prediction. I’ve now had a gender scan and thy were correct. I also used their service 4 years ago and they were correct that time too. The diagrams they draw make things a lot clearer to see to anyone not familiar with ultrasounds and their analysis is very interesting to read. I’ll 100% be using them if I have any future pregnancies.

Absolutely accurate with my 12 week NHS scan. Couldn’t have asked for a more accurate diagnosis. Speedy and quick with there turn around.
