Terrible service
Terrible service. Lost baggage. Unfriendly and totally useless staff. It’s my worst experience.
Never recommend to no one.

We are experienced in cruises ( MSC, AIDA, mein Schiff ) - in total around 20 since 2019 - normal balcony cabins but also large suits. We did several cruises with MSC ( currently Voyager Club Gold );
I want to share constructive feedback - not blaming or accusations.
- Water dispensers - basically a good idea especially in combination with the bottles. But did you ever test the UX ( user interface ) ? How can it be that you paid for a service ( beverage package ) but need to spend 30 seconds in authorizing with the card, selecting and confirming on a touchscreen for a included service ? If there is a queue of 5 minutes - you already have the food ob the table and need to spend additional minutes to gather the water ?
- upselling in the restaurants - limoncello, Sangria, lobster etc - if you want to offer a luxury experience stop this upselling I just expect flying Ryanair
- unasked photo service in the restaurants - if you pay your people based on KPIs like amount of additional revenue but also CSAT then stop this. I want to eat in the restaurant and not being bothered three times furing dinner if I want to have a photo.
- performance in the bars shows room to improve - it takes too long to serve the beverages - but not due the waiters but the performance behind the bars.
There are some exceptional people interestingly often on assistant level.
Also customer orientation on the bars - we do not offer this .. ah but you have all required incredients/sorts available behind you.
- restaurant - if you offer bread as a starter by default also supply olive oil. Sister Ship MSC Divina does this by default ( Caribbean Cruise in april this year )
Everything was quick and easy, from boarding, the MDR, shows, even the buffet!
Best trip! We had an amazing time and we will definitely cruise again with MSC.
Poor communication with the client. It's impossible to reach an agreement, they're very biased towards the client's requests, and they're unwilling to accommodate them. This is all about the sales department on the website. On the ship, the crew is fantastic, everyone is very friendly and always ready to help—the complete opposite!
MSC had the best cruise for going to the fjords in Norway. The beauty was spectacular.
We have been cruising for nearly 10 years with MSC at least once a year - mostly in various parts of Europe and mostly on the midsized ships and we always book a balcony cabin - for the best experience of being on the water. The food has always been good, staff as friendly and as helpful as they can be considering the difficulty of the job. Plenty of space in the cabins and the beds are comfortable - I do bring my own pillow. You get excellent value for money - you just need to be sure to research and plan ahead. Watch youtube videos to help you make the best - we also encountered problems the first time before learning "the ropes" - but once you know what to expect and how to avoid problem times - you can have an amazing time.
Husband and I currently aboard the MSC VIRTUOSA for 6night cruise from Southampton on 19th Oct.
I’m loathed to apply one star but it seems compulsory!
To start with - wardrobe in cabin inaccessible due to huge sofa preventing doors to wardrobe to open.
‘Complimentary dining’ is a complete free for all (aka stampede!) ….. breakfast is a complete non-starter. Shortage of cups, and if you’re lucky enough to wait till supply of cups is replenished, no coffee to put in said cup!
The queues are horrendous! If you want to diet ….. this is the cruise for you! We didn’t read the reviews before booking - hindsight is a wonderful thing. Ah the parking before embarkation …. we weren’t aware there was a separate charge (£118 at car park entrance) maybe our fault but we weren’t made aware.
We’ve cruised many times before, P & O and we reflect on the olden days with ‘Ocean Village’ (for people who don’t do cruises) ….. great times.
The food here is dreadful - first night at our allotted dining and my (medium) steak had a pulse I’m sure and any competent Veterinary Surgeon could have worked his magic, apart from the fat and gristle hindering his attempts.
Sorry to go on but I’m so disappointed.
I wish I could say something positive - err nope, nothings coming to mind - oh except, we pre-booked the drinks package which thankfully helps!!!!
Our next port of call is Bilbao and I can say in all honesty, if I was a very wealthy woman, I’d be on a flight back to the UK!
MSC Cruises have seen the last of us.
Booring Experience, Poor (Customer) Service, Bad Food and missing of Informations
Not Worth it
We had been dreaming about this family vacation for months. We booked a cruise with MSC departing from Venice to the Greek Islands — it was supposed to be our special family trip, with me, my husband, my mother, and our two small children.
Then, out of nowhere, our lives turned upside down. My husband suddenly became gravely ill and was hospitalized in the ICU for 40 days, fighting for his life. He is still in the hospital, now in a regular ward, recovering very slowly. We sent MSC all the medical documents proving his condition. It was a matter of life or death, and our entire world collapsed.
Even in such a devastating situation, MSC showed no compassion. They kept 35% of the total amount we paid, a huge loss for our family, and refused to provide a full refund or even a voucher (Gutschein) to use the full amount on a future cruise — which would not cost the company anything.
We were not asking for a favor. We were asking for humanity and understanding. We were in the middle of a family tragedy, and MSC turned their back on us.
This experience left me heartbroken and deeply disappointed. I would have loved to travel with MSC in the future, but after such insensitivity, I cannot recommend them to any family. We will choose another company with better principles when we are finally able to travel again.
🌊✨ **Dream Cruise with MSC Seaside – an unforgettable experience!** ✨🌊
Our journey aboard the MSC Seaside was fantastic from start to finish! The ship itself is a true highlight – modern, spacious, and packed with activities for every taste. But what truly made this cruise special was the **exceptional service at our table**, especially from **two outstanding waiters** who looked after us throughout.
🍽️ **Top-notch service:**
The two waiters in the Restaurant IPANEMA Mr. Nishant and Mr. Guyo on Table 678 who served us daily were consistently **warm, professional, and incredibly attentive**. They greeted us with a smile at every meal, fulfilled individual requests, and made sure we felt completely taken care of. Their **kind demeanor**, **confident guest-handling**, and genuine passion for their work really **enhanced our experience**.
💬 **What we especially liked:**
- Their **helpful and courteous attitude**
- The **quick and expert service**
- Their ability to create a **warm, family-like atmosphere**
It was clear these are people who work from the heart – and that makes all the difference!
🎯 **Conclusion:**
MSC Seaside is not only an impressive cruise ship but also provides excellent service. We are sincerely grateful to the two waiters and would happily travel with MSC again – especially because of people like them who turned each meal into a little celebration.
Thank You so much🛳️😊

I missed my cruise ship. Customer service was completely unhelpful and of course I had to pay 95% of the cruise price for not making it to the cruise ship. Fine. So far so expected. However, turns out that MSC also refuses to refund any pre-booked excursions as well as pre-booked spa treatments. So whatever you do: DO NOT PRE-BOOK services on MSC!
First cruise with MSC & more than likely the last.
Lots of little errors that add up and ruin your holiday. First one being my family was 5 decks away when we booked together at the same time. Then we were in two different restaurants at evening meal. My drinks package was not activated and had to queue for over 2 hours in the huge queue & 1.5 hours to resolve our restaurant issue.
The ship itself is beautiful however the amount of ppl on here means that there is a fight for beds asn seating anywhere of an evening.
The. Breakfast buffet or so busy it’s unreal. It’s literally like a cattle market way too stressful. We have skipped bfast most days due to this.
Last night I was charges £20 & then £18 for two drinks as the bar man did not know what a baby Guiness was so he gave me a Tia maria & then when I said that’s incorrect he rolled his eyes at me & shook his head, he went back to the bar, then to add baileys to the top that curdled & was charged again. I gave up!
There are too many ppl in ratio staff
We recently booked an excursion on the msc virtuosa to flam .the train was late. The stops curtailed and the quality of the tour ruined.ok it was provided by a third party but you book with msc under their quality banner……..on return they ask for your review and comments which i provided .the very next day they responded to my comments..here lies the rub it was the wrong tour on the wrong ship apparently i was in spain!!!!!i raised the issue with their excursions team and after several conversations they admitted to the errors but that was as far as they could go..the customer services is non existent the adage we have your money applies. The moral here dont book with msc they are puppets and dont care
Poor customer service requested 4 callbacks still waiting might get call back once l am dead and buried. Time to try another cruise liner
We paid over 20000 pounds to take our whole family of 20 people on a Christmas cruise last year and the whole experiance was bad from the service or lack of to the food which was below standard.Bad attitude in all areas the casino being the worst where staff were very rude to guests that were spending money in there. The food in the self service area was very dissorganised and staff unhelpfull .I wrote to MSC with full details of our complaints but they never bothered to reply.I would never go on an MSC cruise again or recommend them to anybody.+
msc doesnt answer me after a pretty significant problem in my trip
i sent 5 messages to 6 email addresses once every week.
am standing in front of the boat. My girlfriend with a chinese passport cannot board the boat while I could. We have all vaccinations, tests and resident permits.
I cannot even talk to a manager. You are breaking our heart and destroying our holiday. The people with whom we talked here racist and just denied boarding because the passport.
Nobody is picking up any phone calls. I want to cry.
