Very promising tool for turning character concepts into usable 3D assets.
I tested Meshy as part of a real workflow: concept art → 3D character → rigging → animation → game engine integration. The image-to-3D stage was surprisingly fast and produced a much more convincing result than I expected from an automated workflow.
What I especially like is that Meshy is not just a “generate a pretty 3D preview” tool. The combination of 3D generation, rigging, animation and export has the potential to become a genuinely useful production pipeline for indie game development.
The main area I would improve is transparency around Free vs Pro features and credit usage. During testing, credits were consumed during the rigging/pose setup process before it became completely clear that the final Auto-Rig generation required Pro. It would be much better to show the paywall and exact credit requirements before any credits are consumed.
Overall, the technology itself is impressive, and I’m interested enough in the results to continue testing the Pro workflow and see how well the generated character survives rigging, animation and import into Godot.
Great potential — especially if the full character-to-engine pipeline becomes more transparent and predictable.

So Great app, had free plan with meshy 6 Lite. meshy 7 is better than any ai in the world

The software creates some really cool things. The older version almost deliberately create bad images forcing you to upgrade for more money. Trial and error on the legacy software will get you close to where you want to be, overall it's been a good experience.

It is so easy to create stuff. From text or images

It is good for someone who is into art, or maybe character design. For engineering or to make useful stuff, measurements and so on did not cut it for me.

BY FAR the greatest 3d model generator out there. I have tried several others but Meshy won my business.

My experience with Meshy AI has been extremely disappointing. The AI quality was very poor in my experience. The promotional videos and examples made it look like the AI could create specific results, but when I tried to create similar things, it often generated something completely different from what I requested. I also encountered several errors and problems from the beginning. I requested a refund because I was not aware of the refund conditions when I made the purchase, and I only learned about these rules afterward. Support refused my refund request based on their policy. I am attaching screenshots showing the errors I experienced and the response regarding my refund. In my opinion, the advertising does not accurately represent my experience with the service. I regret purchasing it and recommend thinking carefully before spending money on it.

WORST AI GARBAGE OUT THERE!!!!! THEY NICKEL AND DIME YOU FOR EVERY SINGLE CHANGE AND STILL DON'T DELIVER USABLE RESULTS. I SPENT OVER 800 CREDITS TODAY ALONE TRY TO PRODUCE ONE (YES ONE!!!!) CHESS PIECE. IT KEPT MANGLING THE FACE AND EVERY TIME I ASKED IT TO TRY AGAIN, THEY CHARGED ME 30 CREDITS...GOOD GRIEF!!!!!! I GUESS THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO PAY OFF THE TRILLIONS THEY'VE SPENT ON ALL THESE DATA CENTERS!!!! GET READY FOR AI HYPER-INFLATION!!!!! AI AIN'T FREE BABY...IT'S ASTRONOMICALLY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I just subscribed to Meshy, and to be honest, as it is my first use, it is incredible

Meshy saved me a lot of time. so far its the best 3D ai i've used.

Meshy.ai has completely transformed my 3D workflow. The speed and quality of text-to-3D and image-to-3D generation are incredible. What used to take hours of manual modeling and texturing now takes just minutes. The generated textures and wireframes are surprisingly clean, and the export options make it effortless to bring assets directly into game engines and rendering software. If you're a indie developer, 3D artist, or content creator looking to speed up production without sacrificing quality, Meshy is an absolute must-have tool. 10/10!
