SCAM!!!
First ever purchase experience with ‘Vinted’. At checkout, a banner name of ‘MEDITATE JOY’ appeared. I mistook it to be the trading name of Vinted and £0.01 was taken from my bank account. Within a few seconds the Vinted payment authorisation screen then appeared. Checking my online bank statement immediately after, two payments were taken - one for Vinted and one for MEDIATE JOY. I’ve since received an email from MEDITATE JOY advising me that they have taken £0.01 from my bank account and within 24 hours, they will take a TWICE WEEKLY payment of £9.99 as a service subscription. I’ve emailed them to try to cancel but they replied saying they will contact me within 24 hours - presumably after they take the £9.99 payment tomorrow. My bank cannot block the payment and they have advised me to dispute it tomorrow when it is taken.
Don't be conned
Like others on this site I was surprised to get an email telling me I was subscribed to this site and they were going to charge me £9.99 twice a week. I had been trying to reaccess my Vinted account and had clicked on a link asking me to authorise a payment of 1p. The email said it contained a link to cancel the subscription but it didn't work. I have now managed to get it cancelled by contacting their customer services and my bank but this is clearly a scam. I see that there are a number of positive reviews from people who are apparently happy to pay £80 a month for a meditation app when most meditation apps are free or a fraction of this price. I suspect another flurry of these will appear after this negative review.
Still trying to rob me
Despite cancelling my trial - made by mistake - I see that they are about to take £9.99 from my account. I tried to get my bank to cancel, but who knows?
I’ve emailed them again.

Meditate Joy used devious pop-ups to take your money
Meditate Joy uses devious and unrequested pop-ups to commit fraud. While searching for something else entirely, Meditate Joy pop-ups occur while trying to use Apple Pay for an entirely different product from another app. The pop-ups are designed to confuse the user.
Trying to get rid of the pop-up, you unintentionally activate it and your account is charged a subscription fee for something you never desired or requested. When the charges appeared on our bank account, we requested a cancellation of their unwanted service and a refund. Instead of a refund, they sent out a bunch of legalese claiming that we looked at their policy document and approved it to make the purchase. This never happened. Meditate Joy is committing fraud. Be careful.

Buyer beware
Buyer beware! While conducting a totally different transaction, suddenly there was a pop-up for this company and before I knew it I had been tricked into a monthly subscription. Once I realized what had happened I immediately unsubscribed and requested a refund. But instead I received a response showing all the things I had agreed to in just a matter of seconds of the transaction. I have requested a refund multiple times but to date no refund.
