🚀 OVUM IS HIRING 🚀 We're rewriting the fertility sector 🥚 - and we're looking for a Head of Sales to join the journey. At OVUM, we're on a mission to change the fertility journey for millions of people trying to conceive. Founded by women with first-hand experience of infertility, we've built a range of evidence-led reproductive health products trusted by consumers, retailers and IVF clinics alike. Today, you'll find OVUM in Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ocado, as well as IVF clinics across the UK. Tomorrow? We're aiming much bigger. We're looking for a Head of B2B Sales to help lead that growth. This isn't a maintenance role. It's a build role. You'll take ownership of every B2B channel across retail, pharmacy, online partners, distributors and fertility clinics. Working directly with our CEO, COO and CMO, you'll shape the commercial strategy, win new partnerships, lead negotiations, and drive revenue growth across the business. You’ll be the perfect fit if: ⚡️ You want to build something, not just manage it.  ⚡️ You’ve got the drive and appetite for what it really takes to be a challenger brand in retail ⚡️ You thrive in fast-moving environments with serious ownership. We’ll be handing you the keys. You can expect autonomy, pace and the opportunity to help build a household name in fertility ✨ 📍 Full-time, hybrid role (London, Paddington) 👇 Please share with your networks! 💌 Full details on the role link here: https://lnkd.in/dZ3tN_EX #hiring #femtech #retail #B2Bsales #fertility #HeadOfSales #SalesLeadership #RetailSales #FMCGCareers #ConsumerHealth #Femtech #RetailPartnerships #CommercialLeadership #BusinessDevelopment #Hiring #Fertility #LondonJobs #LifeAtOVUM

Sanju Pal just won an employment tribunal against her employer for unfair dismissal linked to her endometriosis. While this is positive news, much more work is still needed to make the workplace more accessible. Sanju was an incredibly successful ‘high flyer', yet this didn’t seem to matter when she took leave for surgery related to her Stage 3 endometriosis and missed a performance target. 1.5 million women and people assigned female at birth in the UK live with endometriosis, including our founder, Jenny. 1 in 6 of these people, according to an Endometriosis UK survey, leave the workplace because of their condition. Sanju’s dismissal in 2019 shows one of the very real structural issues so many people face. She’d actually been open about why she needed time off, yet was still not supported, and instead punished. But Sanju is campaigning for more than the recognition that her case was unfair. She's petitioning Parliament to add endometriosis to the list of protected characteristics in the Equality Act 2010. Here at OVUM, we’re huge fans of Sanju and thank her for taking the dispute to tribunal. She’s set a much-needed precedent in the space. Adding endometriosis to the Equality Act would mean better support for people in similar situations, such as a legal basis for support at work instead of relying on whether your manager understands or cares about the condition. The petition needs 100,000 signatures in the next 3 weeks to be considered for a parliamentary debate. If you care about creating workplaces that value equality and women’s reproductive health, please sign and share with your networks!

Last weekend, Jessica Hobbis from our team took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Fertility Action⛰️. Hiking in the dark, running on very little sleep, and eating pasta at midnight courtesy of the brilliant Uncharted Summits, there really were a lot of peaks and pits! And if you’re wondering how Ben Nevis felt during a UK heatwave, the answer is: there was snow at the summit, and we couldn’t have been more grateful for it❄️. But none of this would have happened without Katie Rollings, who founded Fertility Action, organised the entire challenge and brought the team spirit the entire way. She reminded everyone why we were all there, and held the whole challenge together❤️. What made this experience truly special was the people. Everyone on the mountain was there for the same reason, united behind one cause. That shared purpose meant that when motivation dipped, someone was always there. Whether it was a word of encouragement, a helping hand up, or a very well-timed Snickers bar🍫. Together, we’ve raised over £30,000 for Fertiliy Action, funding professional counselling for those struggling with fertility, and a Fertility Education programme in schools and universities across the UK. We are so proud to have contributed to real change within the fertility sector🤝. This campaign sits at the heart of everything OVUM believes in. May really has been an incredible month for OVUM. We hosted OVUM's first-ever Good Eggs Advisory Board in-person meeting, and it was just amazing. Sitting in that room, listening to the people who show up for this brand and for each other every day, reminded us exactly why OVUM exists, and why this board was so important for us to create. The Good Eggs are OVUM's Community Advisory Board. A small, brilliant group of people who have offered their time, their honesty, and their lived experience to help shape everything we do. Not as an afterthought or a consultation exercise, but as the actual foundation of our strategy. The fertility and reproductive health space has spent too long being shaped by people who aren't living it. We're committed to changing that. The people who know what it actually feels like to be trying to conceive, to wait, to hope, to grieve, to keep going, that experience is so important to us. No amount of market research gets close to what happens when you sit across a table from someone and really listen. So that's what this meeting was. We are so grateful to the Good Eggs, who spoke with a clarity and generosity that we won't forget in a hurry. Their thoughts are already threading through OVUM, including our product, content, and how we show up for our community. The most sophisticated thing a brand can do is genuinely listen to the people it serves. Not occasionally or performatively, but as a structural part of how it operates. That is what the Good Eggs Advisory Board is, and we believe that model matters far beyond OVUM. To build a brand that truly serves a community, you have to let that community lead. We're just getting started, and we cannot wait to share some of the projects we're working on with the Good Eggs. To our Good Eggs: thank you. This is yours as much as ours. 🥚

The Fertility Show never gets old, but this year felt extra special. Creating a space where people can show up, ask questions, and find their community is so important. Being present at the show meant so much to us, including hearing firsthand how OVUM has supported so many people on their journey. This is something that never loses its power, and it is the whole reason we exist. The quality of conversation this year was incredible, with so many important topics being discussed so openly and thoughtfully. We were so proud to see our partner Melanie Brown on stage speaking on 'Why Male Fertility Matters.' Melanie played a key role in formulating our Time to Conceive® For Men, and seeing her drive that conversation forward in such a public forum was a genuine highlight of the weekend. We were also incredibly proud to partner with Avenues on our stand. A clinic whose own doctors independently recommend OVUM to their patients, and whose team offered free consultations to every visitor over the weekend, because they believe, as we do, that everyone deserves access to expert guidance regardless of where they are in their journey. That value alignment is why partnerships like this one mean everything to us. Being trusted and independently recommended by 29+ IVF clinics across the UK is something we hold close, and working alongside clinics of Avenues' calibre is exactly why. Thank you to The Fertility Show for creating a space where this community can come together. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their story with us, this is what ultimately made this a weekend to remember.

250,000 miscarriages happen in the UK every year. And until now, most people have had to experience three before receiving any specialist NHS support, investigation, or structured care. There is no scientific reason for that wait, yet it has remained the standard for decades. Tommy's new graded model of miscarriage care changes the framework entirely. Their pilot, conducted at Birmingham Women's Hospital, found that offering care from the very first loss could prevent over 10,000 miscarriages a year in the UK. 99% of participants were satisfied or very satisfied with their care. 93% of healthcare professionals said it was straightforward to deliver. The evidence is there, so what's needed now is government commitment to roll it out. We've worked with writer and fertility advocate Seetal Savla to cover what the model means, what the research shows, and how you can add your voice, including a direct link to write to your MP. Seetal also shares her own experience of pregnancy loss and what earlier care could have meant for her journey. A huge thank you to Tommy’s for this vital research, and for continuing to fight for better support for pregnancy loss. The three miscarriage wait needs to end, and writing to your MP is one of the most direct ways to make that happen. https://lnkd.in/eNKmR-uU

A lot of fertility support starts in clinics. Access to it shouldn’t. From the beginning, OVUM has been built alongside fertility specialists. That gave us a clear view of the gap. What is used and trusted in clinical settings is often very different to what people can access themselves. And that gap matters. Because most people are not in a clinic when they begin thinking about their fertility. Today marks a significant moment for us. OVUM has been selected by Tesco to join its Accelerator programme. Being selected as one of the 13 amazing brands involved is such an achievement for OVUM and the team that has worked so hard to get here. We’re incredibly grateful to Tesco and, in particular, Burak Piskin, for recognising both the need for change in this category and the role that evidence-led, clinically informed products can play within it. This is more than a retail listing. It’s a step towards redefining access to fertility support. From something that sits within specialist environments, to something visible, accessible, and integrated into everyday health. For us, that is what progress looks like. Earlier, easier access should be for everyone. Evidence-backed products and support should not depend on being under clinical care. Tesco backing this space signals something bigger. A move toward normalising fertility as part of general health, and raising the standard of what is available on the shelf. We’re proud to be part of the Accelerator, and excited about what this means for the future of the category. A massive congratulations to everyone else in the cohort with us! We’re so proud to have now launched Time to Carry® Prenatal. After two years of research and development, this marks an important expansion of the OVUM standard and method into pregnancy. Pregnancy nutrition is a crowded category, but when we reviewed it closely, we saw complexity without clarity. Products had long ingredient lists with low or token doses that did not reflect what the science said. We also saw ‘3-in-1’ blends attempting to cover preconception, pregnancy and postpartum in one formula, without recognising the different nutrient needs required at each stage. We therefore decided to apply the OVUM approach to formulating a prenatal. This formulation was informed by over 125 published clinical studies. Every nutrient, every form and every dose was decided by our medical team, using the very latest evidence, headed by our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Phoebe Howells. This includes: Clinically-backed doses For example, 400 mg of Choline, which plays a key role in normal foetal brain and nervous system development. A level aligned with the most consistently investigated ranges in prenatal research, rather than the lower amounts often seen in generic blends. Considered nutrient forms For example, Iron Bisglycinate is a chelated form of Iron selected for its suitability in pregnancy where digestive comfort is an important consideration. Carefully selected nutrients. Time to Carry® contains 25 vitamins and minerals selected specifically for pregnancy. Includes NHS essentials (Folic Acid, Vitamin D) plus Choline, Methylfolate, Iron Bisglycinate, Magnesium and our patented K2. Is designed for all trimesters, to stay with women throughout their entire pregnancy. We are proud to expand OVUM into another critical stage of reproductive health, continuing our commitment to evidence, clarity and raising standards in reproductive health. https://lnkd.in/e4dNKCCs

To mark International Women’s Day, our CEO and Co-Founder, Heather Jackson joined an influential panel of powerhouse women at our retail partner, Sainsbury's HQ to talk women’s health in retail. Heather was joined on the panel by Ella Mills, Founder of Deliciously Ella, Aki Mandhar, CEO of Chelsea Football Club Women, Tara Chandra, Co-Founder of Here We Flo and Harriet Aldam, Head of Sales and Partnerships at OVUM.   Amongst the powerful discussion which spanned from inspiring founder stories to game-changing campaigns, Heather brought visibility to the menopause as not just a women’s issue or business issue, but a societal one and the role we all play in improving women’s lived experience of menopause. A big thank you to Sainsbury’s for hosting us, and for the visibility they bring to the menopause 365 days a year. Through menopause-friendly bays, signage and its online hub, the retailer is empowering the UK’s 15.5 million menopausal women to search, source and shop with confidence.
