Supported internships – they're how we help young people with SEND find good work. We partner with local and national employers to give every intern three work experience placements, so they can develop a range of skills. Employers see the benefits too. In the words of first direct, supported internships have helped them: ✅ strengthen ties with local communities ✅ demystify the industry and job roles ✅ inspire the next generation of talent. So if you're an employer looking to expand your workforce and hire diverse talent, get in touch through our website: https://lnkd.in/eZ2jc83t #SupportedInternships #JobSupport #Employers

We help people discover the direction they really want to take in life and work. That's because our approach to job support is personalised and local. We take the time to get to know someone. Their interests, needs, and goals. And we work with other local organisations, meaning people get the right support at the right time. Doing it this way has greater impact on lives, workplaces, and the community. People are happier, healthier, returning to work quicker, and most importantly, staying there: ✅ 59% of people who started work after being supported on our Individual Placement Support (IPS) programmes were still working six months later ✅ 81% of people improved their wellbeing To find out more about working with us, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eWEUzEJY #JobSupport #UKJobs #ConnectToWork #IPS

Getting inclusion right is good for business, because... ⬇️ ✅ When people feel included at work, they’re happier and more committed ✅ Happy, committed, and diverse teams are almost twice as likely to deliver creative solutions and drive innovation ✅ Diverse teams have diverse thoughts and ideas, which means better conversations and better decisions From our experience, employee-led networks and support groups are just one of many ways to champion inclusion in the workplace. They offer meaningful opportunities for people to get together, share experiences, take part in in learning, and offer support – work-related or otherwise. So, we want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our networks, their chairs, and members for all they do. #NationalInclusionWeek #InclusionAtWork #Inclusion

The problem for many people reaching out for job support is the frustration of having to explain their situation again and again. That's what makes our services different: integration. We've seen first-hand the many benefits of joined-up work and health services, from being able to help more people – and quicker – to helping free up NHS capacity. In this interview with TPXimpact | B Corp™, Julie Leonard speaks about the enablers of integration – bringing health and employment services together, using data and clear processes to provide the right support at the right time until someone achieves their job and wellbeing outcome. How often do we notice the things that just work online? The best digital experiences are often shaped by the smallest details. When links work as expected, buttons are easy to use, and everyone can access the tools they need, websites become simpler, quicker and more inclusive. A great read for anyone who designs, builds or manages digital services. 👇 #DigitalAccessibility #Accessibility #DigitalInclusion

Fewer entry level and weekend jobs, an increase in AI automation, rising mental health, and disruptions from Covid means more than one million young people aren't earning or learning. And close to one million more have been anxiously awaiting and collecting their exam results over the last week. But what’s waiting for them? With fewer options on the table, we’re not standing by. We’re taking action: ✅ We’re providing careers advice in schools to tens of thousands of students every year, because early intervention is essential. ✅ We’ve investing £2m into programmes that help young people furthest from work. ✅ We’re working with local employers to deliver supported internships for young people with SEND. ✅ We’re integrating health and work services, so that young people get the right support at the right time. Can you help us on our mission to help more young people on the path into good work? If you're an employer or decision maker committed to helping young people, we want to hear from you: https://lnkd.in/eZEehstg #NEET #YouthEmployment #ResultsDay #ResultsWeek #JobSupport

Are we making it harder for young people to find work? According to the latest Milburn report, 6 in 10 young people who are NEET have never had a job. That's more than 600,000. They're being squeezed out of the job market as weekend work disappears, AI becomes more widespread, and employers expect more and more experience for entry-level roles. With a further one million students collecting their results from today, how many will struggle to get on the ladder? Are we making it too hard? Let us know in the comments. #NEET #ResultsDay #YouthEmployment #ResultsWeek

For previous generations, results day often marked the first day of the rest of your life. It meant freedom, opportunity and a chance to start building a life of your own. Today, too many young people feel anxious about the future, instead of excited. They’re facing fierce competition for entry level jobs, enduring repeated knockbacks when applying for work, and trying to build their careers as AI transforms the jobs market. We need to change this – and we are. In the last year we’ve: ✅ invested £2m into helping young people furthest from work to feel more prepared ✅ supported more than 33,000 students in schools to map out their career ambitions ✅ and for those closer to work, helped more than 10,000 young people to find good work or education Ready to play your part in ending the NEET crisis? Confidence. Strength. Hope. They don't automatically come to mind when thinking about job support. But they're just as important as the practical things – like writing CVs, applying for jobs and practising interviews. We’ve found that when someone isn't physically or mentally ‘ready’ for work, it can make it harder to find or keep a job, even affecting their wellbeing. This is where we're different. Our personalised support programmes, such as MSK Trailblazer, offer not only 1:1 job support, but also free physiotherapy and a gym membership for six months. And the result? People are happier, more confident, and in a better place for work. Good conversations are a huge part of how we help people all over the country to find and stay in work. This could be: ✅ a young person just out of school and unsure of their next steps ✅ someone with health challenges at risk of falling out of work ✅ a parent looking to return to work after some time away. Every one of these people has a different story, different needs, different hopes and ambitions for the future. But many feel stuck when they come to us. CV and interview tips can only go so far when someone feels like this, and something we hear again and again is the difference having someone to talk to has. We shouldn't underestimate the power of conversation to help people see things differently. We've seen meaningful conversation (which includes active listening) build a person's confidence, put their setbacks into perspective, and help them focus on what they want to achieve next. Personalised services make these kinds of conversations possible. Scroll through to see what people have to say about our work coaches. #JobSupport #Confidence #UKJobs #GoodConversations
