  • Energy costs are high, and growth is slow because we can't build fast enough. Alongside scrapping VAT on household electricity, we are proposing changes that would unlock speed to build, and with it growth and lower bills. - Stop making generation wait years to connect to the grid. - Let anyone qualified build the grid, not just the monopolies. - Enforce planning decision deadlines. All of this shows up in the price of every kilowatt-hour, and makes energy expensive for people and businesses. Our CEO Alan Chang joined Sky News this week to launch our policy manifesto, setting out the key changes needed from Government to unlock energy abundance in the UK. • "There are things in the world that don't exist today, that would exist if energy prices were ten times cheaper." - Alan Chang We have grown used to a world of limits. But look closely at almost anything and you'll find the price of energy hiding inside. At Fuse, our cost of delivering energy is already 17% lower than incumbent energy companies. So, want more. Demand more.

  • Last night we hosted Abundance: Building the UK Energy System at our new office - an evening of conversations with the people who shape policy, on the challenges that will define UK energy over the next decade. We were honest about the problems. Energy costs are too high. Demand is about to surge as AI and electrification take off. And growth is slow because Britain can't build fast enough: grid connections take years, planning decisions drift past their deadlines, and plug-in batteries that could cut household bills sit behind a safety study, with rules not expected before 2028. But the message of the evening was optimism. Every one of these barriers is fixable - and we're ready to work with government to get it done. We especially want to thank Kanishka Narayan MP, Minister for AI; Claire Coutinho MP, former Shadow Energy Secretary; John Fingleton CBE; James Wise (Balderton Capital); and Harry Stebbings (20VC) for joining our founders Alan Chang (CEO) and Charles Orr (COO) on stage. Thank you to everyone who joined us. The problems are known. The fixes are on the table. Now we build.

  • Tonight, England and Argentina go head-to-head in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final. Back in 1990, England’s semi-final match against West Germany ended in heartbreak. After a devastating penalty shootout, electricity demand surged by 2,800 MW. That’s the equivalent of more than one million kettles being switched on by disappointed fans at once. Fast forward to 2018, and England’s World Cup penalty shootout win against Colombia caused another major spike. This time jubilant (and we suspect surprised) fans boiled half a million kettles, equivalent to 1,400 MW, in celebration. Whether you’re celebrating or commiserating, we won’t ask you to choose between the TV and the kettle. Energy isn’t a compromise. Win or lose, we all deserve energy that’s cheap, reliable, and renewable.

  • UK energy bills have been unaffordable for millions of households since 2022. The debt has now reached £4.4 billion. It is unacceptable. Subsidies and debt schemes have helped people manage it. But they do not fix the underlying problem. Electricity costs too much to produce and deliver. The only way the debt shrinks permanently is if bills come down and stay down. That means cheaper generation, smarter trading, and less reliance on imported gas. That is the only permanent solution.

Somewhere in London, there is an ambitious 24 year-old building a case for why they deserve a promotion. Choosing the right data. Framing their wins. Hoping their manager supports them when the review window opens. At Fuse, that person would already have the job they're asking for. We are not bound to our review cycles. If you are exceptional, you move up. Some of the people running significant parts of this business were never hired to do what they now do. Nobody promoted them into it. They just kept going until it was theirs. If that sounds like you, come build with us.

  • Timing is the most underrated career decision you will ever make. Our CEO Alan joined Revolut before it scaled. The experience he built there is what made starting Fuse possible. Timing is underrated as a career variable. People think about the role, the salary, and the brand. Timing matters as much as any of those. Fuse is three years old. We have produced 12 employee millionaires. The energy transition is a multi-decade infrastructure buildout. The people joining now are not inheriting a finished company. Every process, product, and part of the business that exists in five years will have been built by someone who is here today. Come build with us.

  • “100% renewable” energy is a lie UK energy suppliers can claim to be "100% renewable" without generating a single unit of clean electricity. When renewable electricity is generated, a certificate is issued called a REGO. A supplier can buy power from any source, purchase enough REGOs to match customer usage, and legally call that electricity "100% renewable." At Fuse, we generate solar electricity and earn REGOs from it. We do not buy them to claim a “100 renewable” label. The profits from our generation go into building more solar capacity.

  • The UK's North Sea climate policy resulted in more emissions. North Sea gas production peaked in 1999. As domestic output declined, the UK turned to imports, partly justified by climate commitments. The gas it now imports produces more emissions. Liquefied natural gas from the United States carries roughly 15% more lifecycle emissions than North Sea gas. It also costs more to get here: you pay for liquefaction, shipping, and regasification before it reaches a power station. At Fuse, we build domestic energy. Producing it here removes the emissions that come with getting it here.
