not suitable for ALL conditions, despite what it leads you to believe

I’m honestly so annoyed at myself for signing up to this device. I truly feel conned.
I have FND, a neurological condition that impacts the nervous system (in simple terms). Now, the marketing for this device is purposefully vague, in my opinion. You fill out, what proposes to be a medical assessment as part of the onboarding to assess the devices suitability. This gave me, a desperate, chronically unwell person the assurance I needed to take the plunge. How naive of me.
Essentially you’re paying over the odds for a heart rate monitor and some very basic data analysis. Which, for a patient such as myself, is a highly inappropriate method of tracking given its my nervous system and not my heart that “crashes”.
Despite this, I’m desperate, I signed up.
After the four day “bedding in” period, I knew I’d made a mistake, when the device said I needed 22 pacing pints a day, when over the four days I had not gone over 10 and yet had had multiple crashes each day! So, I manually set my daily allowance to 11 to give it a chance. Two weeks on, I’m still crashing everyday, have received only one notification from the band and can honestly say it’s the single most disappointing form of “treatment” I have had. Categorically, if you have FND, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!.

I can see how the product would work for someone with other, non neurological conditions, but allowing people to sign up/actively encouraging them to is simply praying in the vulnerable. People who are desperate to regain some form of normality back into their lives. I’m angry, angry at myself for believing this might help, Angry at the paid endorsements on TikTok and angry at the “medical assessment questionnaire” for completely disregarding a persons fundamental diagnosis and still recommending their product as a supportive enhancement.

Could this device be amazing for people with physical conditions? Yes. Is it good for all conditions, absolutely not.
