We use it to analyse the credit ratings of companies and check their annual accounts and information. The latter is public in Belgium, but Creditsafe makes it slightly 'easier' to search those records. You can also more easily see the history.

It is insightful to compare varied & different companies with the Creditsafe ratings. However, this rating is also quite untransparent, since the exact reasons for higher or lower ratings aren't always clear. Officially this is linked to bankruptcy, but if you can't mention why this score changed, it is harder to use it in discussions or to develop action plans.

The information is updated more frequently than the release of the annual accounts. This adds to the questions we have about the overal transparency on the ratings.

But overall, we like the platform and the fact that you can monitor specific companies (put them on a notification list in case something changes).
