Serious billing errors, wrongful cancellation, and no accountability

I signed multiple insurance policies (car, liability, household, and legal) with Zurich Insurance Group via Deutsche Bank. The initial setup was smooth: contracts were confirmed and payments were arranged via direct debit.

However, about one month later, serious issues began.

I was charged a second unauthorized payment for my car insurance (around €1,200–€1,300). Assuming it was a system error, I requested a refund through my bank. Shortly after, Zurich contacted me claiming that my payment was missing.

Despite providing clear proof of the original direct debit, Zurich then claimed they could not confirm my SF class and doubled the premium. This made no sense, as I had already submitted official documentation from my previous insurer confirming my SF class.

I contacted them again, and they assured me the issue would be resolved and that I should not worry.

Instead, the situation escalated significantly:
* My car insurance was wrongfully canceled
* I received a letter from the authorities with a fine, stating my car was uninsured

After calling Zurich again, they finally resolved the issue within 24 hours:
* Insurance reinstated
* SF class correctly confirmed
* Apology issued

However, the damage was already done. I had to pay a penalty caused entirely by Zurich’s mistake. I reported this to Zurich and requested reimbursement, but they completely ignored my request.

To make matters worse, a few months later Zurich:
* Increased the price of all my policies by at least 20%
* Did so before contract renewal, despite multi-year agreements
* This happened even though I had zero claims

At the same time, I found that competitors were offering significantly lower prices (in some cases around 50% cheaper).

Instead of providing security and reliability, Zurich caused:
* Billing errors
* Administrative failures
* Legal risk due to wrongful cancellation
* Lack of accountability
* Unjustified price increases

I cannot recommend Zurich based on this experience.

Had insurance with Zurich for over 6…

Had insurance with Zurich for over 6 years, the first claim we went to file was denied and they reto-actively stopped our policy to avoid responsibility for a pretty small claim involving a child's medical care. Will never again do business with Zurich.

Leider gibt es keine Bewertung "unter Null"!! Ich habe eine Hotelrücktrittsversicherung via Booking.com abgeschlossen. Ein NO GO!!!! Die antworten einem nicht einmal ein E-Mail. Der LETZTE MÜLL-LADEN. NIE WIEDER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, there's no option to give a rating below zero! I purchased a hotel cancellation insurance via Booking.com — and it's an absolute NO-GO! They don’t even respond to a single email. This is the worst, absolute garbage service. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just be transparent

I wish I could give 0 star. 13k invested in Fondsrente. After 5 years a loss of 1500 Euro. That too, I go to know when I asked for cancellation, otherwise one get the information only at the year end. Reason: High fee and complete non-transparancy. Bye bye Zurich.
