⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – Outstanding Customer Service!
I want to take a moment to recognize Evelyn Villanueva, Resident Experience Representative at Tricon Residential, for her exceptional customer service!
After speaking with three other representatives regarding an issue with my online payment, Evelyn was the ONLY one who truly went above and beyond to help me. She took the time to listen, patiently walked me through different options, and explored every possible avenue to help resolve my issue.
What stood out to me the most was her calm demeanor, professionalism, patience, and genuine willingness to help. Not once did I feel rushed or dismissed. She made me feel heard, valued, and supported throughout the entire process.
THIS is what top-tier customer service looks like! 👏🏼
Evelyn is absolutely amazing at what she does, and I sincerely hope Tricon Residential recognizes the incredible employee they have. Employees like her deserve to be acknowledged, appreciated, and celebrated for going above and beyond.
Thank you, Evelyn, for turning a frustrating experience into such a positive one. You are truly a gem, and your hard work does not go unnoticed! ❤️
Tricon Residential, please give this woman the recognition she deserves! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I used to work for this company for many years. I was let go because of breach of policy which to me was a misunderstanding in the office. And on my end, they don't care about employees. And they definitely don't care about the residents. They got bought out a couple years ago, and everything changed. Maintenance has changed the way we take care of houses have changed and not for the better, they're just trying to make their extra dollar. I would move on and go to a company that is family owned, and that looks out for the little people.
Do not rent from Tricon
From the day we moved in, it has been one problem after another. The locks were installed on the wrong side of the door. The house was never cleaned before we arrived. The previous tenants had birds, and there was still bird debris on top of the bathroom cabinets. The fireplace was dirty, and there were holes throughout the home.
The house was also infested with mice. To their credit, Tricon sent pest control and maintenance out multiple times, and the mice are now gone. But the number of visits it took shows the house should never have been put on the market in that condition, especially at the rent we're paying.
When we applied, Tricon showed us rent prices for lease terms from 12 to 24 months, and the longer the lease, the lower the rent. We chose a 20-month lease at $2,669 a month based on that. Nothing in that pricing mentioned that the rent would go up after 13 months, so we had no reason to look for an increase in the lease. Then in month 13 the rent went up 4%, which adds about $850 over the last 8 months. The increase is in a short clause on page 2 of a 27-page lease, and it was never mentioned when we signed. When we raised it, they simply pointed to the clause.
In my view, this is a manipulative tactic. They advertise a lower rent to get you to commit to a longer lease, leave the increase out of the pricing, and bury it in the fine print. Then when you find it, they hide behind "you signed it." Anyone considering Tricon should read every page of the lease and ask directly whether the rent will change at any point during the term.
I could not recommend a company less. I'm counting down the days until our lease is over.

I wanted to understand the process of a smart home system other matters, once I finally got to a lady named Evelyn Villanueva, she was the most pleasant person to talk too, because she actually listened and took the time and patience to answer and help me. I am truly grateful 🙏 to talk to a very nice and understanding lady. Thank you so much. You made my day. Now I know how to set and reset my thermostat.

Better Business Bureau (BBB) Warnings: Tricon is plagued by nearly 600 official BBB complaints and overwhelmingly negative daily reviews focusing heavily on deceptive billing, uncompleted maintenance, and unexplained account charges.
TRICON personally stole $150 from me when all I did was fill out the application which the fee is $55 and they provide a FULLY REFUNDABLE $250 Hold fee. I had withdrew my application and they decided to bait and switch me the $55 instead of my $250. So out of the total $305 sent forward I am $150 short of my refund.

Horrible property management company. They don't care about tenants and ignore maintenance requests. Their only goal is to make a quick buck. I wish I could give them negative stars.

I would give less than one star if I could. My experience with the rental company have been extremly mediocre. Than after 6 years of renting, never missing a rent payment, I was told by Cadice Shelton with their South East Support team that they would evict me if I can't drive to walmart to make my rent payment when I am fully capiable of making the payment online. Times are hard so I have to keep renting with them but I'd heavily advise renting somewhere else. They are corporate company and they don't care about you and your family. They can't wait to keep raising the rent price and will threaten to kick you out. Horrible company for the family

This is a joke of a company. A perfect example of greed in America. Big corporation buying up thousands of single family homes across the country. Driving up home prices and rent. Then not standing behind their responsibilities as landlords. They do everything they can to place blame on the tenant. We are fortunate enough that we only have a few more months dealing with Tricon as we are building a house but I feel awful for those not in our situation. They are handcuffed.
First off the home we are renting is a cheaply built piece of crap. Things break constantly. Our kitchen flooded multiple times from a leaking faucet and broken dishwasher. Roof leaked into the house through an active light switch. Internet service down due to poor construction of the home.
Every time something breaks, I would rather have a root canal with no anesthesia than fight with the Tricon team to get the issues resolved. Submit request online, call to follow up, speak to an Ai agent for an hour, finally talk to someone in the call center, told that no one is available at the local office to help me, told to email someone else, try to get transferred to someone that can help. It takes weeks to get something accomplished.

I wish I could leave the video of their worker yelling at me to "suck his d*** male parts!!" They never fired him so now im here to let everyone know about this guy.. hostile, aggressive, tricon is not recommended harboring aggressive employees for home owners next to these tricon owned properties to deal with.. beware. He still comes to the property and stairs at me through windows and parks one street over sp my security cameras dont get him.. very concerning..

The application process was easy. Communication is a little off considering most employees are in CA on west coast and I’m in GA on east coast. Properties should reflect exactly what you’re getting as far as what type of electrical bills you would have. I didn’t know until my lease was signed. The team members were nice. I don’t like having to be made to use tricon as a provider for a smart door lock as I’ve had my own for a few years I don’t like I had to cancel my Internet considering I’ve had my own for 3 years as well with ATT so it’s a lot of changes that are not residential friendly, it’s more of an invasion of privacy and not residential friendly
