I highly recommend Phill, he taught my eldest daughter to drive last year and my youngest daughter passed her test last week after only a small number of lessons. My daughters are very different when it comes to their personality and how they learn, but he has done a superb job with both of them. He put them instantly at ease and has produced confident drivers. He has been flexible in his approach, both girls started lessons in Phill’s car and then are their request using their own cars to complete their training, he has also offered flexibility around college/work/holiday commitments. If that weren’t enough he came to my daughter’s rescue this morning when her engine warning light came on during one of her first solo drives, which was hugely appreciated by us all. He has gone above and beyond our expectations. Thank you so much Phill, you truly are a superstar 🤩

On 29th July 26, Passing my practical driving test on the **first attempt** felt impossible at first, but Mr Phill’s exceptional teaching made it a reality.

Despite having an incredibly busy schedule, Mr. Phill kindly found time to give me just **6 hours of focused lessons**, and every minute was valuable. His calm, patient, and encouraging approach quickly built my confidence behind the wheel. He didn't just teach me how to pass the test—he taught me how to become a safe, responsible, and confident driver.

Phil kept all my lessons simple and common sense nothing complicated

I’m currently having lesson with Phil after changing from another driving instructor. I have gain so much more confidence when on all type of roads and when dealing with all kinds of situations. I feel a lot more ready for my driving test after doing a few mock test. Phil also makes all of your lesson fun and will engage theory into your practical lessons too. I passed my test on 14/05/2025, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without James at The Driving Instructor .

From the very first lesson, James was patient, calm, and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. He never made me feel under pressure and always took the time to build my confidence, even when I made the same mistakes more than once. His teaching style was professional but relaxed, which made every lesson enjoyable and helped me improve much quicker than I expected.
