Still waiting for my refund
Still waiting for my refund. Terrible service. They lie in every mail the send.
Be careful
Be careful! they dont give you money back if they cancel the bus!!!
Topview seen from the bottom
Company has apparently gone into liquidation and did not tell customers with prepaid bookings. When arriving in London from South Africa, for the London tour, we were told by their opposition that they were no longer in operation. Of course no refund is forthcoming and we had to write off £85. A lot of money in these tough times.
They went out of business don't waste your money
They went out of business but still selling reservations. Bought mine a week ago showed up July 20 no busses anywhere, no refund and no answer when I called.

This company stopped trading last week…
This company stopped trading last week but there website is still taking bookings. Don't go there, if you have already booked and used a credit card contact your provider for a refund. Better still avoid at all cost.
They're out if business apparently
Lol went for the boat toar... The Millenium Pier workers told us TopView straight up (and rightfully so based on other refiews) is out of business and stopped services a week ago. Their website is still up taking people's money. No boat, no bus, no refund.
New York tour but still sh!t!
We went on the one in New York, just as bad as London by the sounds of it! We ordered tickets online and tried asking one of the representatives on the street where the nearest bus top was and he said he wouldn’t tell us as we didn’t buy the ticket from him! He even said our tickets wouldn’t work. I walked away which he didn’t like. The first bus we got on had a broken sound so couldn’t learn about anything, then the driver was rude when I asked about the next stop, the second bus we got on leaked like a sieve but the audio did work, but kept cutting out. Wouldn’t bother with this company in any country!
Really horrible experience
Really horrible experience. Had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. More people advertising the tours than actual busses on routes. Would never recommend.
Disappointing
I took a group of 6 around London yesterday on TopView. All I can say is thank goodness I am a Londoner, and could help my group navigate this city. TopView didn’t take the published route, didn’t respond to help queries, stopped at a changeover without clearly telling us what was happening, had a very confusing website with last bus times that made no sense. The stops ( I struggled with at the start) can be found if you enlarge the picture on their website to really see the fine detail. So, visitors new to London, please use a tourist bus service that gives you actual bus trackers on their apps and have better reviews than this company. As mentioned in other posts, the buses themselves were fine, the recorded commentary interesting and the drivers friendly, but TopView seriously needs to do a thorough review of their London operation, to get the basics right. Right information, right maps, right times, right signage. Make sure London is water tight before opening any more tours.
Great tours, terrible buses and non-existent customer service
The tours themselves are actually quite good, and the commentary is interesting. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
The buses are an absolute disaster. We used the service three times, and on every single occasion we had to wait **more than 30 minutes** for a bus. Meanwhile, we saw Big Bus vehicles passing by every five minutes or so. The whole point of a hop-on hop-off service is convenience, but with TopView you spend more time waiting than sightseeing.
The customer service is just as disappointing. We sent them an email and, even **six months later**, we still haven't received a reply. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable.
If you're visiting the city, I'd strongly recommend choosing **Big Bus** instead of TopView. The tours may be decent, but the unreliable bus service and non-existent customer support completely ruin the experience.
Awful. Book with anyone else
We booked a city boat cruise only and the TopView rep tried to scam us in order to make sure we bought from him. He knew we wanted a single way ticket for 8 people from Westminster pier to Greenwich and brought the price down when I said we would book with another company which was cheaper. What this meant is he sold us 5 tickets to Greenwich and 3 to tower pier, the stop before Greenwich. Luckily I noticed this on the tickets as I walked away. I went back and told him and his colleague said to go to
Greenwich was another £15. I refused as that’s not the price the rep told me. He knew he had been caught out as he ended up paying the £15 out of his pocket in order to not look a fool in front of everyone. A scam artist and I do not trust the company at all. Book with anyone else but this one. I will be reporting to trading standards and head office
Not recommend
Poor bus density, website down. Couldn't get in touch with Support. Stops cancelled due to parade for the king but no info etc. A tape recorder playing music instead of guiding... it certainly happened sporadically. The seats were soaked (the bus probably left out in the rain) and broken seats meant that the upholstery was still wet and clothes were not only wet but also ruined. Can NOT recommend this company.
Digital tickets arrived on 6 May I…
Digital tickets arrived on 6 May I opened to look what I needed to do. No tickets in the email. When I opened the cruise element it reserved 2 seats on that same day it was close to midnight, it was a month before our visit. I emailed customer service after 2 weeks got a return saying it had to be changed from there end what date did I want to go. I replied another 2 weeks no change. I have phoned every day lots of times. Auto voice states no one can take your call. Due to go to London tomorrow still my ticket has wrong month.
Pathetic experience, never recommended
Pathetic experience; poor business practices.
I’d have rated them in minus had I been given an option; would never recommend Topview London to anyone - it’s a total time & money waste + you end up the day with a lot of frustration for free.
Very minimal bus service and huge wait time (over 40 mins) at almost every stop we experienced. The driver didn’t stop bus even after waving a hand, which wasted over half an hour and extra money we paid to the local bus to travel.
From the experience, it seems they’re fully committed to prove the negative reviews truely valid and maintaining the poorest quality services, as people say. It seems the reviews doesn’t matter for them and they’re making it a formality to reply people and fake promises of improvements.
Overall, no professionalism, would never recommend & travel with them.
I wish I had the words to describe how…
I wish I had the words to describe how disappointing this experience was.
For my sister's birthday, I purchased two tickets costing £50 because I wanted her to have a wonderful experience during her first visit. The driver advised that be nice and as we were already in London wanted to see it properly. Unfortunately, everything went wrong from the moment we tried to board the bus.
When the driver attempted to scan our tickets, they would not work. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the issue but nothing helped. We were then directed to another driver, who also tried without success. After that, we were told that a ticket advisor would be able to assist us.
The ticket advisor could not understand why our tickets were not appearing in the system. We spent around 45 minutes trying to sort everything out, which was incredibly stressful and upsetting, especially as I had promised my sister a memorable experience for her birthday.
In the end, we never even got to see the sights or take the tour.
The ticket advisor attempted to contact the office but could not get through. He took our details and assured us that he would forward everything to the office. I contacted the company the same day. Although the company states that refunds are not offered whjch they do not say upright until you purchase ticket the ticket advisor told us that a refund should be possible because we received no service or experience at all.
I was instructed to email the company, which I did twice, but I received no response. I also tried calling several times, but the phone is never answered and only allows you to leave a message.
I am now at my wits' end trying to contact someone and get my money back. We paid for an experience that we never received, yet there has been no refund, no followup and not even a phone call back.
The drivers genuinely tried their best to help and I appreciate their efforts. However, the company's customer service was extremely poor. From the moment there was a problem with the tickets, there was virtually no support available from the online side. We could not reverse as it was a same day ticket.
I am not usually someone who writes negative reviews, but I am extremely disappointed with this company. What I cannot understand is why a company would sell an experience that it is unable to provide and then refuse to resolve the issue when things go wrong.
The problem was not caused by me. I purchased valid tickets online, arrived as instructed, and followed every step required. The issue was with the ticket system, not with the customer. Despite this, my money has been withheld even though we never received the tour we paid for.
As a customer, I simply expected either the experience I purchased or a refund when the company was unable to provide it. Instead, I have been left chasing responses, receiving no communication, and feeling completely ignored.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If something goes wrong, do not expect prompt customer service or assistance.
An absolute abysmal experience
An absolute abysmal experience. Would never recommend.
To many problems to list but one that really stands out was the incredibly long wait only for the driver to not stop at the bus stop. We only managed to get on the bus because he had to wait at the traffic lights. We had to knock on the door for him to let us on. The look of absolute disdain on his face as he told us that the bus stop was no longer in use (which was a lie) he then pulled away which force causing my friend with accesable needs to almost fall over.
The company do not answer complaint emails and I am tempted to contact trading standards due to the whole experience being a disaster!
Total fraud
Total fraud. Their street agents will scam you with wrong information and a higher price than their website.
We were told, the service runs 24/7, however, there was omly a limited service till 6.00 pm. We were charged 70 GBP for 24 hours hop on hop off package while on the website, it was 58 GBP for two.
We were scammed by their agent Jamie Santo
The information leaflet is misguided &…
The information leaflet is misguided & unclear
The timetable is inaccessible.
The last bus was at 6pm & only went 3 stops.
A lot of money for 1 1/4 bus journeys & then having to pay for tube to return near hotel.
Honestly don't bother . A total waste of time & money
The worst London bus company.
Where do I begin with a terrible review. It is 12.30 and we have not yet managed to catch one bus on our 48 hr tickets. The stops are impossible to find and when we do find a seller to “help” us, they can’t give workable options. Both street sellers and ourselves have been trying to contact the company on the phone because the barcode does not match the physical sales email. We wish we had never bought tickets from this company. Our time in London is being wasted.
