Signed up for a Lounge Global membership at Spaces Theanous (Athens) on 27 August. The card payment was declined but the funds were still held by my bank. I told the Community Manager this directly. His instruction was to re-enter my card and try again rather than look into the stuck first attempt. That produced a second charge. When I raised the problems, he told me in writing that his role now had "minimal" authority and redirected me to a general Help Desk. Separately, one monthly invoice arrived as four duplicate files across two different email addresses. I cancelled within days, having used the membership zero days. The Help Desk later confirmed the double-authorization was real, and is chasing Finance to release the stray hold, but has refused to refund the actual invoice for a service I never used. Correspondence and screenshots on file; ticket C-3936511-X5N9.
The atmosphere is calm, professional, inviting.
Deb who I have dealt with does her utmost to make my meetings flow with ease. She is very pleasant, professional and provides my clients with a great first impression.
I have rented here for years. The facilities are great, especially with the newer buildings. The locations are convenient and the parking garage is great. The staff at this location is great and they do the best that they can. However the company does not seem to care about their customers, and it has gotten worse. We have 24 hour access but the AC is disabled over the weekends (with no option to turn it on). The online customer service is not great. I have been charged twice several times and instead of a simple refund to my credit card, the onus is on me to fill a form to get reimbursed. The prices are competitive at first, but they make up for it by increasing the rates with every renewal.
I was seriously considering renting a dedicated desk at Spaces Coworking at The Permanent on Bay St in downtown Toronto after speaking with Space (The Permanent on Bay St in Toronto). My initial impression was actually positive. He came across as friendly, professional, and made the arrangement sound flexible. During our conversation, I specifically understood that if I needed to cancel, there would be a $59 cancellation-related charge.
My circumstances changed before I ever moved in. I never used the office, never occupied a desk, and never even started working from the location. I emailed Spaces (The Permanent on Bay St) right away to explain that unfortunately I would no longer be moving forward.
That is where the experience completely changed.
I was told that because an agreement had been signed, I was still expected to move in. I reiterated that I was cancelling and was prepared to pay the $59 fee that had been discussed. Instead, I was later sent a bill for more than $1,800.
I genuinely thought there had been some kind of mistake.
From that point forward, the situation became unnecessarily frustrating. Despite clearly stating multiple times that I was cancelling and no longer interested in their services, the communication continued. I eventually specifically asked them to stop contacting me.
Yet today, I received another email from Spaces with the subject line “Internet Connectivity Update,” despite the fact that I never moved in and have repeatedly asked them to stop contacting me.
Based on my experience, I found the entire process extremely disappointing and unprofessional. What was initially presented to me as a flexible coworking arrangement turned into a billing dispute for over $1,800 before I had even used the space.
Anyone considering signing up here should read every line of the agreement carefully and make absolutely sure you understand the cancellation terms in writing before signing anything. Do not rely solely on what you believe was discussed verbally during the sales process.
One star based on my experience.

Spaces Paya Lebar is clean, conveniently located near the MRT, and has large windows with plenty of natural light. However, the front desk staff can be quite rude and unwelcoming towards clients. Customer service definitely needs improvement, particularly in professionalism and showing respect to clients.

Christopher, and Olivia are great and it's a wonderful space to work in. I absolutely love the location.
Brand new space that suited me perfectly for the few hours I needed. Well looked after by Rachel who showed me where everything was and the room I had was spacious, clean, well lit and right by the station - perfect. Thanks.

Ambience at Spaces ORP level 2 was good and conducive.
Personal warmth and attentiveness of staffs - Rachel and Sharul makes a difference.

Horrible customer support. Cancellation system is a trap. No one to ever talk to. Everyone passes the buck to someone else. Facilities are old and AV connections don’t work.

Easy access to center without delay, nice open space and natural sunlight, and staff availability when you need it.

Whilst the location and office space are quite good, I've ultimately decided to cancel and move to alternative co-working space because of an overall bad experience with the Spaces administration. Billing issues where membership fees were paid on time but misallocated by Spaces led to account suspension and legal threats. Couldn't use any of my membership services while they tried for nearly a full month to rectify the issue. Requests for refund were refused even though they confirmed their error led to the account suspension. Completely unacceptable.

24th of July 2026 I got an email from their accounts team regarding my refund they said the payroll would run on the 4th of August 2026 and to allow 5-7 days for the money to reflect into my account which has not happened. The refund was to be processed last year already. I WANT MY REFUND ASAP

It's great to share a space with like-minded entrepreneurial people. SPACES ensures the experience is smooth and comfortable. The reception crew is very professional and helpful.
The location of the Bleicherweg office is superb.

Shocking experience in renting an office here. Would not recommend. Sales person sold the dream, moved in and everything was an extra monthly cost. Billing is constantly wrong, adding fees for no reason. No one on reception ever replies, I can't wait for my contract to end, SHOCKING company.

Poor-quality services & management response, you will have to follow up for every single information, customer satisfaction is not a priority. Location - Gurugram, India

Signed a 12-month office agreement in March 2025 at Spaces 609 H Street NE, Washington DC. Vacated on time, returned the key, office in clean condition.
Two weeks before my contract ended, I was charged $1,489.26 for "Office Restoration Service." The invoice line dated the service June 1, 2026, which is one day AFTER my contract ended May 31. They billed in advance for a service scheduled to happen after I was no longer a customer.
Disputed through Chase. Filed a BBB complaint. During the dispute, Spaces sent overdue notices threatening late fees and collections, which is prohibited under the Fair Credit Billing Act. When my $1,760.50 refundable retainer came due, they refunded only $271.24 and kept the exact disputed amount ($1,489.26) as "offset" against the charge that was already under dispute.
The kicker: Spaces's own customer portal (on the retainer balances page in your account) explicitly states "we do not accept requests to offset invoices against retainers." They did exactly that.
Chase resolved the chargeback in my favor. Spaces did not respond to Chase's inquiry. I recovered the disputed fee via chargeback, but Spaces still wrongfully holds $1,489.26 of my refundable retainer.
If you are considering Spaces or its parent Regus: the end-of-contract restoration fee and retainer offset are the actual business model. Price the exit into your total cost of the agreement.
