Absolutely wonderful experience

Absolutely wonderful experience for my daughter’s 13th birthday treat. The food was amazing (I’m vegan) and they spoilt her with a ‘happy birthday’ cake with candle that they didn’t charge me for. It was our first visit, it most certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommend - food and service A+++

😋🤌👌Compliments to the Chef and JD the Manager! So fresh, superbly sliced and beautifully presented. A real treat. Table service was A1 professional. A lovely casual, but classy place to enjoy your favourite Sushi and Sashimi dishes. I will definetly be back with friends. 🥢🔪🍱🍜🍣

Buying gift vouchers

Staff not helpful when trying to buy gift vouchers I was told you can only order on line as they only hold £75 vouchers at the restaurant, when I asked a couple of questions they were very dismissive.

Staff overly anxious

Had a meal in the Stamford restaurant on Wednesday 20th November for a little family celebration. Food great, prices a little over-expensive in all honesty. We had fun and our laughs but the issue which was a theme the entire evening was the particularly overly anxious staff on duty that specific night. Table booked for 7 p.m. and we were completely understandably a little late to be seen to in terms of ordering as there were already 4 or 5 tables with people. In any case, the gentleman who initially attended to us and to our orders was polite but abrupt nonetheless and too academic in informing us that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. It was already 7:45 p.m. until our orders were finally taken and that the restaurant also closes at 9 p.m. making us feel a little perplexed.

In all honesty in which world and in which other country in Europe do kitchens close in restaurants at 8 p.m. and the establishments close at 9 p.m.? Why this parochial and self-afflicted exclusive mentality in Britain? Restaurants in the majority of Europe are still empty at 8 p.m. even on weekdays and they do not usually close before 2 a.m.! Anyway moving on...as already mentioned, why this anxiety? Staff were impeccable and smiling otherwise other than this immense anxiety they all seemed to have. Is this coercion by management? If yes, this is entirely erroneous as a philosophy let alone it makes little commercial sense in any case. We had barely finished our drinks - and bottles and cans were being collected; barely finished our food and every 1-2 minutes staff coming round removing the table, plates, utensils etc., On which planet exactly does this happen?! Collecting a table whilst someone is still sat eating with food barely having been swallowed. It is one thing to remove something from the table when not required any more but a wholly other thing to keep removing things from under our noses albeit, we were being asked if this was ok with us very politely each time. But we just thought it to be really quite funny and very strange. Try pulling something similar in Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France etc., and the reply of customers towards staff wouldn't be at all courteous. Of course we are fully aware that even the slightest nuance of even the most polite criticisms in the UK could be misinterpreted and misconstrued entirely as abusive - so we did not comment other than to mention to one member of staff that they seemed overly anxious. When people go out for a meal they wish to do exactly that and truly enjoy and not feel that they are on a timetable.

From all the staff that attended to us Wiktoria was the best and the most human-centric and understanding and the most courteous, polite and the one person who truly smiled.

Delicious sushi

Delicious sushi, friendly staff, lovely ambience. Never disappoints on every occasion. The menu is vast and has options for sushi, ramen, katsu curry, salads, vegan options, chef specials and loads of side dishes. I always want to go back to try another item!

I bought the gift voucher as a treat…

I bought the gift voucher as a treat for my daughter and husband so they could buy a take out meal as they have a young child and can’t get out on a Saturday night. Sadly, they ordered their meal and when they tried to use the voucher, it wouldn’t accept it. Consequently, they had to use their own money and are left with a voucher that they might find difficult to use.

Oh my goodness where to start - I’ve been eating out in restaurants for over 40 years. Tonight was shocking. The service was terrible and I was abused by other diners because I complained about the service. I have never in over 40 years of eating out experienced such abuse. It was scary and I simply won’t ever be eating with you again.

Ohh! very lovely sraff and their service, providing fresh food. I am totally fan of this resturent. Me and my friend ordered (mega combo 3), that was so attractive and delicious.
I had got 2 miso veg tempura and porkbelly that was also so amazing. I perfer all my sushi lover friend to visit this resturent. Thank you..!

Mind Blowing Sushi

Mind Blowing Food! Went to Sushi and Salad this weekend and the food was out of this world.. Tempura was light and crunchy, the sushi rolls so fresh the rice was still warm, the servers were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
